Heat and mass transfer in a falling film vertical in-tube absorber was studied experimentally with LiBr aqueous solution. The presented results include the effect of solution flow rate, solution subcooling and cooling water temperature on the absorption in a smooth copper tube 16.05 mm I.D. and 400 mm long. The experimental data in the previous report for a 1200-mm-long tube was also re-examined and compared. It was demonstrated by the observation of the flow in the tube that the break down of the liquid film into rivulets leads to deterioration of heat and mass transfer at lower film Reynolds number or in longer tubes. An attempt to evaluate physically acceptable heat and mass transfer coefficients that are defined with estimated temperature and concentration at the vapor–liquid interface was also presented.  相似文献

It has been found that ion implantation can induce a swelling (step-height) phenomenon on crystal surface. In this paper, we studied about the control of swelling height of Si crystal by irradiating Ar beam under various parameters (fluence, charge and energy). These irradiation parameters were regulated by an irradiation facility that enables to achieve the multiple ionization. For both charges, the swelling height was studied with the various fluencies of two different charges Ar(1+) and Ar(4+). The swelling height increased with increasing the fluence. The swelling height was also studied by changing energy of Ar(4+) beam. The swelling height increased by increasing the energy. The obtained swelling heights are understood base on the contribution of ion-beam induced defect, which is evaluated by SRIM. By comparing with the previous results, it was found that the expansion phenomena also depend on irradiated ion. The swelling structures were found to be stable more than two months. The present results have shown that this method of producing swelling structure indicates the potential application to fabricate 3-D nanostructure.  相似文献

We have considered the behavior of the conductivity or the dielectric function of the one-dimensional (1-D) quantum sine-Gordon system (g2 = 4) for two models of impurities. We have used a Fermi-Bose relation and a self consistent t-matrix approximation. As for the conductivity at zero temperature, it appears when the concentration of impurities becomes larger than the critical concentration of impurities. It shows the linear increase near the critical concentration. As for the dielectric constant, its behavior is model dependent. We have numerically calculated the frequency dependence of the conductivity at zero temperature. The real part shows the second order increase near the critical frequency. The imaginary part shows the linear decrease from the origin.  相似文献

Inverse scattering method for one-dimensional inhomogeneous layered media   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
An inverse scattering method to reconstruct simultaneously the permittivity profile and the conductivity profile of one-dimensional inhomogeneons medium which makes use of the transverse electric (TE) wave and/or transverse magnetic (TM) wave, is proposed. The medium is illuminated by the TE and/or TM plane wave at oblique incidence, and the data are taken as the reflection coefficients for a set of discrete frequencies and/or a finite number of incident angles. Furthermore, the reflection coefficient data contain the Gaussian noise. The nonlinear integral equation relating the unknown constitutive parameter of the medium to the reflection coefficient for TE wave and/or TM wave is solved by the Newton iteration method. The inverse operator in the Newton method is determined by the regularization method. It is demonstrated in terms of the numerical examples that this method utilizing both polarizations and the incident angle of the incident plane wave is very effective even if the reflection coefficient contains the practical measurement error, or the phase of the reflection coefficient is unknown. Moreover, the relationships between the errors of reconstructed profile and the measured reflection coefficient are also discussed.  相似文献

We constructed and tested a prototype gas sampling electromagnetic calorimeter of the Pb-proportional tube sandwich type. The calorimeter uses conductive plastic tubes and cathode pad readout with a tower structure which resulted in reasonable energy and spatial resolutions for electrons in the momentum range 0.5–4.0 GeV/c; σEE = 21%(E(GeV))12, σx = 6 mm (at 3 GeV/c). This paper describes the test and the performance studied under various conditions.  相似文献

We have clearly resolved four chromosomal bands from four Pichia pastoris (Komagataella pastoris) strains by using contour-clamped homogeneous electric field gel electrophoresis. The size of the P. pastoris chromosomal bands ranged from 1.7 Mb to 3.5 Mb and total genome size was estimated to be 9.5 Mb to 9.8 Mb; however, chromosome-length polymorphisms existed among four strains. Thirteen cloned genes isolated from strain GTS115 were assigned to the separated chromosomes, revealing that different hybridization patterns were observed in the AOX2 and URA3 genes among strains. P. pastoris is frequently used as an efficient host for heterologous gene expressions. We analysed chromosomal stability of strain GTS115-derived recombinant cell expressing human serum albumin during serial cultivation under the condition of vegetative and non-selective growth. No chromosomal rearrangements were observed and the expression constructs integrated into the his4 locus on chromosome I were very stable even at 83 generations, suggesting that stable expression would be carried out even in large-scale fermentation.  相似文献

Subcortical damage in neonates often has more severe consequences than in adults. Unilateral electrolytic hippocampal lesions in adult rats typically result in transient memory deficits, whereas neonatal lesions cause lasting memory impairments. We hypothesized that unilateral lesions made at birth may affect synaptic physiology in the contralateral hippocampus. Consequently, the ability to sustain long-term potentiation (LTP), a form of synaptic plasticity believed to underlie certain forms of memory, was compared between slices from the remaining hippocampus of rats lesioned as newborns and as adults. Initial studies showed that a train of 10 stimulation bursts patterned after the hippocampal theta rhythm produced robust and stable LTP both in slices from controls and rats lesioned at birth. However, a theta burst pattern of stimulation closer to intrinsic physiology (five burst pairs separated by 30 s each), induced significantly less LTP in slices from rats lesioned at birth compared to those from controls and rats lesioned as adults. To investigate possible mechanisms underlying the deficit, the degree of paired-pulse facilitation (PPF) as well as the amount of depolarization occurring between two successive theta bursts were analyzed. The lesion did not detectably change PPF characteristics, suggesting that presynaptic mechanisms are normal. However, the extent to which a burst response was increased by a prior burst was significantly diminished in slices from rats lesioned at birth compared to those from controls and rats lesioned as adults, indicating that postsynaptic factors involved in the initial triggering events of LTP are affected by the lesion. Reduced ability to sustain LTP in the remaining hippocampus may contribute to impaired memory function after unilateral neonatal hippocampal lesion.  相似文献

We introduce a new potent inhibitor, N-[2, 2-dimethyl-3-(N-(4-cyanobenzoyl)amino)nonanoyl]-L-phenylalanine ethyl ester (3), which preferentially inhibits serine proteases belonging to a chymotrypsin superfamily. This inhibitor, despite consisting of a stable ethyl ester structure, showed strong inhibitory activities toward bovine alpha-chymotrypsin, human cathepsin G, and porcine elastase by acting as an acylating agent. The calculated inactivation rate constant (kinact) and enzyme-inhibitor dissociation constant (Ki) against alpha-chymotrypsin were 0.0028 s-1 and 0.0045 microM, respectively (kinact/Ki = 630 000 M-1 s-1). These kinetic parameters indicate that this inhibitor is one of the most powerful alpha-chymotrypsin inactivators ever reported. On the basis of structure-activity relationship (SAR) and structure-stability relationship studies of analogues of 3, which were modified in three parts of the molecule, i.e., the 4-cyanophenyl group, beta-substituent at the beta-amino acid residue, and ester structure, we suggest that the potent inhibitory activity of 3 is due to the following structural features: (1) the ethyl ester which enforces specific acyl-enzyme formation, (2) the n-hexyl group at the beta-position and 4-cyanophenyl group which stabilize the acyl-enzyme, and (3) the phenylalanine residue which functions for the specific recognition of S1 site in the enzyme. In particular, the action of 3 as a potent inhibitor, but poor substrate, can be ascribed largely to the very slow deacylation rate depending on the structure factors cited in feature 2. The results of inhibition by 3 and its analogues against different serine proteases such as chymase, cathepsin G, and elastase suggest that these compounds recognize common parts in the active sites among these chymotrypsin-like serine proteases, and 3 is one of the most suitable structures to recognize those common parts. Our results provide an intriguing basis for further developments in the design of a stable ester-based selective serine protease inhibitor.  相似文献
