Methanation reactivity was studied for the surface carbon deposited from CO2 on the surface of Rh-bearing activated magnetite. The most active material (Rh=0.83 wt %) for methanation was prepared by the impregnation method at 60°C and showed 98% conversion at 300°C. The surface carbon was composed of elemental carbon (-carbon) and polymerized carbon (-carbon), the proportion being dependent on the density of carbon deposited. In temperature-programmed surface reaction, the extent of conversion of the - and -carbon to CH4 was 0.34 (-carbon) and 0.53 (-carbon), respectively, and the total conversion was 0.87. This result indicates that not only elemental carbon but polymerized carbon (-carbon) could be converted to CH4 on the Rh-bearing activated (-carbon) magnetite, whereas -carbon is not hydrogenated on activated magnetite. 相似文献

Manganese oxides on titanium dioxide were prepared by impregnation method at various calcination temperatures and by deposition-precipitation method and the catalysts were characterized using TG-DTA, XRD, XPS, and N2 adsorption. Various oxidation states for manganese were obtained and activity towards ozone decomposition inside a nonthermal plasma catalysis reactor was investigated. Activity tests show that with increasing manganese oxidation state, the greater the degree of ozone decomposition inside the reactor. In an effort to clarify whether the lipid-lowering effect of hemoglobin is due to globin protein or heme, this study investigated the effects of dietary porcine hemoglobin (PH) and porcine globin (PG) on lipids contents of serum, liver, and feces in rats. Five-week-old male Wistar rats were divided into 3 dietary groups of 7 rats each, with one group receiving a control diet and the other groups receiving diets containing 1.25% (w/w) PH or 1.18% (w/w) PG for 4 weeks. The PH diet decreased triacylglycerol content in serum and cholesterol in serum and liver, whereas the PG diet reduced triacylglycerol content in serum and cholesterol in liver. Fecal lipid excretion in the PH group was significantly higher than in the PG group. Therefore, PH affected lipid excretion to feces due to globin protein as well as heme. 相似文献

Electrospray deposition has been investigated as a substitute for photoresist spin coating. The morphology of Microposit S1813 photoresist films has been studied as a function of several spray conditions including resist concentration, substrate surface, and flow rate. Film morphology is controlled by three process parameters: the surface energy determines the equilibrium conditions of resist on the substrate; the viscosity and volume flux determine the relaxation time for the depositing resist solution after impact on the substrate. Electrosprayed photoresist films have been used for photolithographic patterning and it has been demonstrated that electrospray deposition is an effective method for deposition of photoresist on top of fragile, thin films, which can be used for multilayered thin film fabrication.

Waste tyre and plastic such as polyethylene terephthalate can be utilized as a useful material for conversion of solar energy into chemical energy by solar thermochemical gasification into synthesis gas (CO+H2) using concentrated solar energy. In the present paper, the gasification of waste tyre (C: 86 wt.%, H: 8.4 wt.%) and of PET (C10H8O4)n, were studied using ZnO as a donor of oxygen in the infra-red furnace at 1373 K. For the gasification of tyre, most of the chemically bound hydrogen was converted into H2 (62%) and CH4 (29%) gases, while 71 mole% of the inherent carbon was gasified to CO (36%), CH4 (29%), C2H4 (2%), and CO2 (4%) in 200 s of the decomposition reaction. The CO2:CO ratio was about 1/10, indicating that the carbon in the waste tyre can be converted effectively to gaseous fuels. In the experiment without ZnO, the conversion efficiency of C and H were decreased to 17% and 77%, respectively. However an appreciable effect of ZnO on the enhancement of the gasification of PET was not observed. 相似文献

In order to determine whether the vitamin nicotinic acid is absorbed via an anion antiporter, intestinal epithelial cell membrane transport mechanisms for nicotinic acid were characterized using isolated rabbit jejunal brush-border membrane vesicles. The uptake of nicotinic acid by the membrane vesicles showed an overshoot phenomenon in the presence of an outwardly directed bicarbonate gradient or an inwardly directed proton gradient and the uptakes were two times and six times greater, respectively, than that in the absence of any ion gradient. The bicarbonate-dependent initial uptake of nicotinic acid was increased at acidic pH, showing pH-dependent transport activity. An inhibitor of anion transport, 4,4'-diisothiocyanostilbene-2,2'-disulphonic acid, specifically reduced bicarbonate-dependent transport of nicotinic acid. The initial uptakes of nicotinic acid via the anion antiporter and the proton cotransporter were specifically inhibited by monocarboxylic acids such as acetic acid, benzoic acid, D- and L-lactic acid, pravastatin and valproic acid, but not by di- or tricarboxylic acids, bile acids or amino acids. Nicotinic acid uptake activity was, furthermore, expressed in a Xenopus laevis oocyte system after injection of messenger RNA (mRNA) derived from rabbit intestinal epithelial cells. These observations demonstrate that nicotinic acid is absorbed by two independent active transport mechanisms from small intestine, i.e. a proton cotransporter and an anion antiporter. The pH-dependence observed in the intestinal absorption of nicotinic acid might, therefore, be ascribed partly to pH-sensitive and partly to carrier-mediated transport mechanisms in the brush-border membrane. 相似文献

A new neutral-point-clamped pulsewidth modulation (PWM) inverter composed of main switching devices which operate as switches for PWM and auxiliary switching devices to clamp the output terminal potential to the neutral point potential has been developed. This inverter output contains less harmonic content as compared with that of a conventional type. Two inverters are compared analytically and experimentally. In addition, a new PWM technique suitable for an ac drive system is applied to this inverter. The neutral-point-clamped PWM inverter adopting the new PWM technique shows an excellent drive system efficiency, including motor efficiency, and is appropriate for a wide-range variable-speed drive system. 相似文献
