Single‐ and multi‐layer transparent conductive oxide (TCO) thin films exhibiting high performance, good packing density and low surface/interface roughness are deposited on silica glass substrates by the sol–gel method. The crystal and microstructural properties of the TCO thin films are evaluated as an alternate to films prepared by ultra‐high vacuum deposition. Tin‐doped indium oxide (ITO) thin films produced using a two‐step drying process showed low surface roughness because of dense packing structure not only horizontal but also vertical directions. As a result, electrical conductivity, carrier concentration, carrier mobility, and optical transmittance of 2.3 × 103 S/cm, 8 × 1020 cm?3, 18 cm2/Vs, and over 98% at 500 nm, respectively, were achieved. A multilayer ZnO/ITO stacked structure was also fabricated using the sol–gel process. Our findings suggest that solution‐based methods show promise as an alternative to existing ultra‐high vacuum methods to fabricate TCO thin films. 相似文献

Cortisol-producing adenoma (CPA) is composed of clear and compact cells. Clear cells are lipid abundant, and compact ones lipid poor but associated with higher production of steroid hormones. PRKACA mutation (PRKACA mt) in CPA patients was reported to be associated with more pronounced clinical manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome. In this study, we examined the association of histological features and genotypes with cholesterol uptake receptors and synthetic enzymes in 40 CPA cases, and with the quantitative results obtained by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis in 33 cases to explore their biological and clinical significance. Both cholesterol uptake receptors and synthetic enzymes were more abundant in compact cells. GC-MS analysis demonstrated that the percentage of compact cells was inversely correlated with the concentrations of cholesterol and cholesterol esters, and positively with the activity of cholesterol biosynthesis from cholesterol esters. In addition, hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), which catalyzes cholesterol biosynthesis from cholesterol esters, tended to be more abundant in compact cells of PRKACA mt CPAs. These results demonstrated that both cholesterol uptake and biosynthesis were more pronounced in compact cells in CPA. In addition, more pronounced HSL expression in compact cells of PRKACA mt CPA could contribute to their more pronounced clinical manifestation. 相似文献

Native potato starch (moisture content 15%) was treated by twin screw extruder under four operating conditions with varying barrel temperatures (110°C–230°C). These modified starch samples were compared to native and drum-dried starch. Starch sample solution for gel chromatography was prepared by the three methods (acidic, alkaline, and neutral methods). They were subjected to gel chromatography on Toyopearl HW-75, and some difference was found among the three gel chromatographic patterns obtained from the same starch solution. This discrepancy among GPC patterns suggests formation of some types of anhydro-bonds between chains of amylopectin and or amylose in the extrusion process. Elevating barrel temperature increases degree of depolymerization. The size of fragments formed with the treatment is bigger than that of oligosaccharides but smaller than that of amylose. 相似文献

The Kakiemon-style porcelains made from 17th century at Arita are famous Japanese porcelains, characterized mainly by their colored underglaze and overglaze and by their original design of coloring spatial patterns in the porcelain surface. Raw materials of the red-overglaze enamels have been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction and X-ray absorption spectra using synchrotron radiations. It is found that Izumiyama porcelain ceramics of yellow color can produce the Kakiemon red-overglaze enamels by thermal treatment and water-washing, where Izumiyama is a collecting place of the raw porcelain ceramic at Arita. The brightness of the red-overglaze enamels is related on the local structure around Fe ions and the electronic band states of Fe ions near a Fermi level in α-Fe2O3, in addition to the spatial density of the α-Fe2O3 fine particles. The structural and electronic properties are slightly affected by an electron-hybridization between Fe ions of α-Fe2O3 and oxygen ions of the (SiO2–Al2O3) complexes in the red overglaze. 相似文献

Nanocrystalline diamond/amorphous carbon (NCD/a-C) composite films have been prepared by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MWCVD) from methane/nitrogen mixtures. The complex nature of the coatings required the application of a variety of complementary analytical techniques in order to elucidate their structure. The crystallinity of the samples was studied by selected-area electron diffraction (SAED). The diffraction patterns revealed the presence of diamond crystallites within the films. From the images taken by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) the crystallite size was determined to be on the order of 3–5 nm. The results were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements exhibiting broad (111) and (220) peaks of diamond from which the average size of the crystallites was calculated. The grain boundary width is 1–1.5 nm as observed by TEM images which corresponds to a matrix volume fraction of about 40–50%. This correlates very well with the crystalline phase content of about 50% in the films estimated from their density (2.75 g/cm3 as determined by X-ray reflectivity). The bonding structure of the composite films was studied by electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) in the region of carbon core level. The spectra were dominated by a peak at 292 eV indicating the diamond nature of the investigated films. In addition, the spectra of NCD/a-C films possessed a shoulder at 284 eV due to the presence of a small sp2 bonded fraction. This phase was identified also by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The sp2/sp3 ratio was on the order of 10% as determined by deconvolution of the C1s XPS peak. 相似文献

In order to develop environmentally friendly coloured materials, cellulose composite spherical microbeads hybridised with titanium dioxide (TiO2 ) particles and inorganic pigment were prepared by a phase-separation method using viscose and an aqueous solution containing sodium polyacrylate. Findings regarding the relationships between cellulose xanthate and the electronic characteristics of TiO2 particles used in the cellulose/inorganic material composite sphering process are also reported. These findings suggest that the location of TiO2 particles in cellulose microbeads is related to electrical repulsion between the xanthate (CSS− ) group and TiO2 . The use of TiO2 powder as colour pigment is limited, as its colour is white. The cellulose composite spherical microbeads covered with TiO2 and Fe2 O3 particles were developed by addition of iron oxide (Fe2 O3 ). Their surfaces were viewed by laser microscope and using SEM images. These composite microbeads retained the photocatalytic property of TiO2 . Cellulose/TiO2 /Fe2 O3 composite spherical microbeads with both colour function and photocatalytic properties were successfully prepared. 相似文献

Sliding friction tests of pin-on-disc type were carried out for carbon steel, pure iron and pure copper, and the microstructure and hardness near the sliding surfaces were investigated in detail. It was found that patchy transfer layers with ultra-fine (<200 nm) structures were produced on the disc surfaces. Nanocrystalline grains of 30–50 nm were identified for carbon steel, and submicron sized grains of 100–150 nm were observed in pure copper. The thicknesses of the ultra-fine structures were in the range of 10–50 μm, depending on the specimen material, sliding speed and applied load. The hardness near the sliding surface of pure iron was increased compared with the matrix. It was suggested that the hardening was due to the very fine structure formed by severe plastic deformation, but not due to phase transformation caused by thermal effects. 相似文献
