We examined the difference in the detection limits of flaws in the depths of multi-layered and continuous aluminum plates using low-frequency eddy current testing. The detection limits were measured by using a magneto-resistive sensor. Comparing the frequency of an applied magnetic field, the detection limit at 50 Hz is deeper than that at 1 kHz. Comparing the sample structure, the detection limit in the multi-layered samples is deeper than that in the continuous samples. These results are likely due to the differences in the skin depth and conductivity of the sample.  相似文献

Direct digital design of computed torque controllers for a robot manipulator is discussed in this article. A simple discrete-time model of the robot manipulator obtained by Euler's method is used for the design. Taking account of computation delay in the digital processor, we propose predictor-based designs of the PD and PID type controllers. The PID-type controller is designed based on a modified version of the discrete-time integral controller proposed by Mita. For both controllers, the feedback gains can be determined easily by using simple formulas. A simulation example is presented to illustrate the relevance of the proposed designs and the robustness of PID-type controller against physical parameter variations. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Cells of the central nervous system (CNS) normally do not express detectable levels of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) Class I antigens. However, MHC Class I expression can be induced after virus infection. We tested the hypothesis that virus-induced Class I expression is mediated by lymphocytes or cytokines using lymphocyte- and cytokine-deficient mice. We used Theiler's murine encephalomyelitis virus (TMEV), which induces CNS demyelination that maps genetically to the D region of MHC Class I and is associated with high levels of Class I products. TMEV infection of severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and recombination activation gene-1-deficient mice, which lack B and T lymphocytes, resulted in equivalent H-2D and H-2K expression in brain and spinal cord, according to analysis of the area and intensity of immunoperoxidase staining. Class I antigens were demonstrated as early as 6 hours after infection, and they were more widely distributed than viral RNA, indicating that expression was induced indirectly via a soluble factor. To determine whether cytokines induced the expression, we infected mice lacking receptors for interferon-alpha/beta (IFN-alpha/beta R (-/-)), interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma R(-/-)), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFRp55(-/-)). TMEV-infected IFN-gamma R(-/-) and TN-FRp55(-/-) mice expressed Class I antigens in the CNS, whereas IFN-alpha/beta R(-/-) mice did not, establishing that IFN-alpha/beta mediated the expression. In contrast to the equivalent expression in SCID mice, we observed greater area and higher intensity of H-2D versus H-2K antigens in infected SCID mice reconstituted with normal spleen cells. Collectively, the data indicate that after TMEV infection, early generalized MHC Class I expression is mediated by IFN-alpha/beta independently of lymphocytes, but the differential regulation of H-2D over H-2K may be controlled by B and/or T lymphocytes.  相似文献

Planar-structure InP/InGaAsP/InGaAs avalanche photo-diodes have been realised by using a VPE-growth technique and a Be+ implanted guard ring. Sensitivity measurement has been performed at 1.3 ?m and 1.8 Gbit/s. The applicability of the k-ε model in the prediction of aerodynamic force and instability is investigated herein. To show that two-dimensional analysis by the k-ε model is different from ordinary two-dimensional analyses that simply neglect the spanwise velocity, an analysis of the aeroelastic vibration of a cross section with B∕D = 2.0 is performed first using the latter method. In this case, motion-induced vortex oscillation was successfully simulated; however, galloping, in which the flapping motion of the separated shear layer plays an important role, could not be simulated. The result shows that physically reasonable flows can not be obtained by ordinary two-dimensional analyses, unless the spanwise momentum diffusion is incorporated correctly. On the other hand, the k-ε model, which incorporates this diffusion process by an eddy viscosity, enables two-dimensional analyses even in the high Reynolds number region. In this paper, applicability of the model is examined for rectangular cross sections with a wide range of B∕D ratio, i.e., 0.6 ≤ B∕D ≤ 8.0. Various typical aerodynamic features calculated using this model were found to be in good agreement with those obtained experimentally, particularly including discontinuities in Strouhal number at the critical cross sections of B∕D = 2.8 and 6.0. Based on this result, an elastically supported B∕D = 2.0 cylinder was analyzed. The motion-induced vortex oscillation and a coupling of the vortex-induced oscillation and galloping were successfully simulated, and their values were in good agreement with those measured in experiments conducted earlier.  相似文献

We demonstrated that the organic carbon contaminants influenced the J-E characteristics of a gate oxide. Molecular-contamination-free clean dry air (CDA) is a choice for the atmosphere control in a closed manufacturing system. The adsorption and desorption characteristics, which are important items for the design and operation of CDA production plants, were confirmed with both a dynamic simulation and a pilot column. Based on the results, we built a CDA plant with a capacity of 4000 m3/h, and confirmed that each contamination concentration was less than 10 ppb. We also proposed the economical CDA system using a power recycle device which has been newly developed. Using this CDA system, it is possible to reduce the power consumption in the CDA plant. Also, it is possible to realize the circulation of the used CDA without generating more contamination or power consumption  相似文献
