For the purpose of generating a quasi-plane wave and realizing small-antenna pattern measurements in the 12 GHz band, a planar-waveguide array antenna consisting of 45 WRJ-120 rectangular waveguides with 57 longitudinal slots on the broad wall of each waveguide is fabricated and tested. The dimensions of the antenna are about 1100 mm×1300 mm×850 mm, including the waveguide-supporting frame, the feed network, and the antenna-supporting pedestal. As an example, the H-plane pattern measurement of a small pyramidal horn antenna is conducted in a small chamber at 12 GHz. The pattern obtained in the compact range is compared with the corresponding data obtained outdoors  相似文献

Inclusion polymerization of cyclic diene monomers, such as cyclopentadiene, 1,3-cyclohexadiene, 1,3-cycloheptadiene, 1,5-cyclooctadiene, and 2,5-norbornadiene, was studied, using deoxycholic acid (DCA) as the canal component. The formation of monomer-DCA adducts was observed, however, the polymerization occurred only in the case of cyclopentadiene, 1,3-cyclohexadiene, or 1,3-cycloheptadiene. The polymers obtained consisted preferably of 1,4-units and almost 100% of 1,4-units in the case of 1,3-cyclohexadiene. ESR measurements revealed that inclusion polymerization of cyclopentadiene or 1,3-cyclohexadiene in DCA canals proceeds by a free radical mechanism.  相似文献

It has been shown that polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)–CaO–SiO2–TiO2 and poly(tetramethylene oxide) (PTMO)–CaO–TiO2 hybrids form apatite on their surfaces in a simulated body fluid (SBF) and show mechanical properties similar to those of human cancellous bones. In the present study, changes, caused by soaking in SBF, were measured in the mechanical properties of PDMS–CaO–SiO2–TiO2 hybrids with different CaO and TiO2 contents and PTMO–CaO–TiO2 hybrids with different CaO contents. Significant decreases in the strength and strain at failure of the hybrids were observed for the PDMS–CaO–SiO2–TiO2 hybrids with high CaO or TiO2 contents and PTMO–CaO–TiO2 hybrids with a high CaO content after soaking in SBF for 4 w. This indicates that incorporation of a large amount of CaO component into the hybrids should result in the deterioration of the hybrids in the body environment.  相似文献

Physarum vitronectin-like protein with a molecular mass of 70 kDa cross-reacts with anti-bovine vitronectin and promotes cell-spreading (Miyazaki, K. et al. 1992. Exp. Cell Res., 199: 106-110.). The amino-terminal sequence of Physarum vitronectin-like protein is, however, distinct from those of animal vitronectins but shows significant sequence homology with dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase, a component of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. We have investigated the structural relationships between Physarum vitronectin-like protein and dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase by using both antibody and protein-chemical methods. The vitronectin-like protein reacted with both anti-bovine vitronectin IgG and anti-rat pyruvate dehydrogenase complex IgG, indicating that it shares common antigenic determinant(s) with rat pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. Furthermore, sequencing studies of peptides obtained by lysylendopeptidase digestion indicated that internal sequences of Physarum vitronectin-like protein show significant homology with dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase, but do not show any homology with the primary structures of authentic vitronectins. Immunocytochemistry revealed that the protein is widely localized in cytoplasm and nuclei of Physarum polycephalum, but is not present in the central area of vacuoles. Our results indicate that Physarum vitronectin-like protein is a molecule structurally and immunologically related to dihydrolipoamide acetyltransferase but functionally similar to animal vitronectin, although its localization is unique.  相似文献

Significant thermal stresses are induced in the adhesive layers of a metal-composite bonded joint owing to the large temperature change associated with the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansions of metals and composite adherends. In this study, a theoretical analysis of shear and peel stresses in adhesive layers of a double-lap metal-composite bonded joint is carried out to evaluate the effects of thermal and mechanical loads on the stress distribution in the adhesive layer. The effects of temperature change and adhesive thickness on the shear and peel stresses in the adhesive layer of the bonded joint, with and without external forces, are examined based on the theoretical analysis. The results calculated for the condition involving a mechanical load application to the bonded joint and a decrease in temperature indicate that the absolute value of the shear and peel stresses peak at both ends of the adhesive layer, and that the absolute value of the peak stresses increases in the case of a thinner adhesive layer. When mechanical and thermal loads are simultaneously applied to a double-lap joint, shear and peel stresses synergistically increase at one end of the adhesive layer and decrease with an offset at the other end.  相似文献

Impedance-humidity characteristics of alkali salt doped poly(ethylene oxide) were studied. Complex-plane impedance analyses have been performed. At each humidity and temperature combination, the resistance corresponding to the ionic migration in the bulk of the film has been estimated. The sensor, composed of poly(ethylene oxide) doped with an alkali salt having a high propensity for complex formation between poly(ethylene oxide) and the alkali cation, has 8 good impedance variation in the range 107 to 103 by the humidification and desiccation process, and no apparent hystereslis can be observed. The impedance variation is interpretable in terms of the expansion of the free volume by the plasticizing effect of sorbed water.  相似文献

Electroluminescence in insulating polymers in ac electric fields   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
EL (electroluminescence) in several polymeric materials was investigated in the electric field range <90 kV/mm. We used polymeric films with semi-transparent gold electrodes: low density polyethylene, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene and polyvinylchloride. The EL characteristics were very low EL inception fields (2 to 20 kV/mm) which strongly depend on the material and very low energy photon emission (mainly in the red region of 1.6 to 1.8 eV). These results reveal that EL emission occurs predominantly in the metal-polymer interface region rather than in the bulk of the polymer at the applied field. We present a model of EL emission in the metal-polymer interface region to explain our results qualitatively. In this model, the mechanism of EL emission is the radiative recombination of the electrons and holes trapped at the surface states of the polymer, which causes photon emission in the red region. The gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is the most common mesenchymal malignancy of the gastrointestinal tract. Its clinical course ranges widely from a curable disorder to a highly malignant disease. Although its clinical and molecular characteristics depend on the anatomic site of origin, the molecular background of GIST arising in different anatomical site has not been studied yet. To investigate the proteomic background of GIST, we examined the proteomic features corresponding to the anatomic site of tumor origin. Comparison of the proteomic profile of gastric (23 cases) and small intestinal (9 cases) GIST by 2‐DE revealed 105 protein spots with significantly different intensity (p <0.01) between the two groups. Mass spectrometric study identified 68 distinct proteins for these 105 protein spots, including cancer‐associated ones such as prohibitin, pigment epithelium‐derived factor, and alpha‐actinin 4. The intensity of 37/105 (35.2%) protein spots was significantly concordant with the corresponding mRNA levels (p <0.01). Although both 2‐D DIGE and microarray experiments showed significant up‐regulation of vimentin expression in small intestinal GIST, Western blotting did not show a significant difference between the two groups. In conclusion, our study demonstrates the proteins specially expressed in GIST depending on their site of origin, as well as the unique advantage offered by use of proteomics to acquire such data. The identified proteins may provide clues to understanding the different characteristics of GIST depending on their site of origin.  相似文献
