A new data clustering algorithm Density oriented Kernelized version of Fuzzy c-means with new distance metric (DKFCM-new) is proposed. It creates noiseless clusters by identifying and assigning noise points into separate cluster. In an earlier work, Density Based Fuzzy C-Means (DOFCM) algorithm with Euclidean distance metric was proposed which only considered the distance between cluster centroid and data points. In this paper, we tried to improve the performance of DOFCM by incorporating a new distance measure that has also considered the distance variation within a cluster to regularize the distance between a data point and the cluster centroid. This paper presents the kernel version of the method. Experiments are done using two-dimensional synthetic data-sets, standard data-sets referred from previous papers like DUNN data-set, Bensaid data-set and real life high dimensional data-sets like Wisconsin Breast cancer data, Iris data. Proposed method is compared with other kernel methods, various noise resistant methods like PCM, PFCM, CFCM, NC and credal partition based clustering methods like ECM, RECM, CECM. In the past few years the telecommunications industry has undergone significant changes. We are rapidly evolving to a state where audio/visual and data traffic is all provided on the same networks. Telecommunication companies are investing billions of dollars in the design and maintenance of telecommunication networks to provide the users with the better quality of service that they have begun to expect. Due to their high capacity, fiber optic cables have become the medium of choice in the deployment of such new networks worldwide. Such high capacities encourage telecommunication providers to create networks that are substantially more sparse than previous copper based networks. Unfortunately, with sparsity comes vulnerability to failure. Given the dependence on the varied services offered by the modern networks, the magnitudes of the investments involved and the costs of disasters it is only logical that researchers look at problems in survivable network design as an interesting research question. There have been a number of papers that have addressed these and other related issues. Objective: Microencapsulation of the anti-inflammatory drug aceclofenac (ACE) was investigated as a means of controlling drug release and minimizing or eliminating local side effects. Method: Microspheres were prepared by a spray-drying technique using solutions of ACE and three polymers, namely, carbopol, chitosan, and polycarbophil, in different weight ratios. Results: The spray-dried mucoadhesive microspheres were characterized in terms of shape (scanning electron microscope), size (6.60–8.40 μm), production yield (34.10–55.62%), and encapsulation efficiency (58.14–90.57%). In vitro release studies were performed in phosphate buffer (pH 6.8) up to 10 hours. The spray-drying process of solutions of ACE with polymeric blends can give prolonged drug release. The in vitro release data were well fit into Higuchi and Korsmeyer–Peppas model and followed Fickian diffusion mechanism. In vivo data showed that the administration of ACE in polymeric microspheres prevented the gastric side effects. Conclusion: The formulations here described can be proposed for the oral administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with minimal side effects on gastric mucosa. 相似文献

π-Extended dithienopyrrolobenzothiadiazole-isoindigo-based conjugated polymers were synthesized and well characterized by using various analysis techniques like infrared (IR), 1H NMR, UV–Visible spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, cyclic voltammetry analysis, and gel permeation chromatography. The bandgap of synthesized polymers, P-1, P-2, and P-3, were determined to be 1.95, 1.91, and 1.93 eV, respectively. These polymers exhibited robust thermal stability up to 290°C. The highest occupied molecular orbital energy levels were below −5.0 eV for all polymers, while the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy levels ranged from −3.5 to −3.3 eV. The measured space charge limited current hole mobilities for polymers, P-1, P-2, and P-3, were 1.02 ± 0.47 × 10−1, 1.17 ± 0.47 × 10−1, and 2.51 ± 0 0.47 × 10−2 cm2 V−1 s−1, respectively. 相似文献

Aqueous solutions containing alkaline salts of natural amino acids, such as those from protein in plant seeds or high protein animal-based waste, are green CO2-separation solvents. In the present work, potassium salts of nine such amino acids were chosen for an in-depth study: alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, leucine, proline, serine, and valine. The kinetics of CO2 absorption in aqueous solutions of these salts was studied using a stirred cell. From the measurements of the absorption rate at different salt concentrations (molarity 0.1 and higher), CO2 partial pressures (5–25 kPa), and temperatures (298–308 K), values of the reaction order, rate constant, and activation energy were determined. Additionally, the liquid-side mass transfer coefficient (0.005 cm/s) was also found. Potassium salts of proline, glycine, and arginine were most reactive and, hence, were chosen for equilibrium study. The loading capacity of these salts was measured at 308 K in a vapour–liquid equilibrium setup at near-ambient pressure. This work aims at augmenting the amount of potable water using MgO and TiO2 in stepped solar still. Experiments were carried out for the climatic conditions of Chennai, India, with two different concentrations of nanofluids inside a stepped basin under three different cases. Results show that there is an improvement in yield of fresh water from stepped solar still by 33.18% and 41.05% using 0.1% and 0.2% volume concentration of TiO2 nanofluid, respectively, whereas the freshwater yield from stepped still with MgO nanofluids improved by 51.7% and 61.89%. Furthermore, the economic analysis revealed that the cost of potable water from the modified solar still reduced from 0.029 to 0.016 $/kg. Similarly, the useful annual energy, yearly cost per kilogram, and annual cost per kilowatt hour are significantly profitable with the use of MgO nanofluid in the stepped basin and found as 512.46 kWh, 0.025 $/kg, and 0.026 $/kWh, respectively. It is also found that the cost of potable water from the modified still significantly increases as the amount of fresh water produced is decreased with increased fabrication cost of the solar still. 相似文献

A novel approach for fabrication of 3D cellular structures using new thermosensitive shape‐changing polymer films with photolithographically patterned surface—4D biofabrication is reported. The surface of shape‐changing polymer films is patterned to selectively adsorb cells in specific regions. The 2D cell pattern is converted to the 3D cell structure after temperature‐induced folding of the polymer films.
