Thermal actuated sliders are being widely used in today’s hard disk drive industry for its advantages of easier control of flying height (FH) and less risk of contacts with the disk. This article uses a coupled-field analysis method, which includes an air bearing model, a heat transfer model and a thermal-structural finite element model to investigate the FH changes of thermal actuated sliders at various environmental conditions. The mechanism of water vapour’s contribution to air bearing pressure loss is explained and a new humidity model is proposed to calculate this pressure loss. The temperature effects are also considered in the simulation models. It is observed that the environmental temperature and humidity have significant effects on slider’s FH changes, but their effects on the thermal protrusion height are limited. A humidity sensitivity study is also made and the results are discussed. It is found that the slider with thermal protrusion on its trailing pad will be more sensitive to the humidity. Besides air bearing stiffness, some other factors such as peak pressure, protrusion shape and air bearing surface (ABS) design will also contribute to the slider’s humidity sensitivity. 相似文献

In most existing Wyner–Ziv video coding schemes, a feedback channel (FC) is expected at the decoder in order to allocate a
proper bit rate for each Wyner–Ziv frame. However, FC not only results in additional latency but also increases decoding complexity
due to the several feedback-decoding iterations. Moreover, FC may be unavailable in many practical video applications. In
this paper, we propose a novel feedback-free rate-allocation scheme for transform domain Wyner–Ziv video coding (TD-WZVC),
which predicts the rate for each Wyner–Ziv frame at the encoder without significantly increasing the complexity of the encoder.
First, a correlation estimation model is presented to characterize the relationship between the source frame and the reference
frame estimated at the encoder in TD-WZVC. Then, an efficient FC-free rate-allocation algorithm is proposed and a linear model
is built to avoid both overestimation and underestimation of the real rate and obtain an optimal rate-distortion performance.
Experimental results show that the proposed scheme is able to achieve a good encoder rate allocation while still maintaining

There are a number of dirty data in observation data set derived from ocean observing network. These data should be carefully and reasonably processed before they are used for forecasting or analysis in oceanic warning system (OWS). Due to high-dimensional and dynamic oceanic data, we propose an intelligent integrated data processing model for the OWS. Firstly, we design an integrated framework of the oceanic data processing and present its processing model. The function of each module of this model is analyzed in details. Then, we propose several intelligent data processing methods, such as an intelligent data cleaning method based on the fuzzy c-means algorithm, a data filtering and clustering method based on the greedy clustering algorithm, and a data processing method based on the maximum entropy for the OWS. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed model is proved by experimental results of observation data of the Red Tide. The proposed model can automatically find the new clustering center with the updated sample data, and outperforms several algorithms in data processing for the OWS. 相似文献
