A series of copolymers containing units of a novel hydantoinylacrylamide and the sodium salt of 2-(acrylamido)-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid have been synthesized. The homopolymer of the hydantoinylacrylamide compound was insoluble in water, while the copolymers with the sulfonic acid sodium salt were water-dispersible/soluble, with the solution becoming completely transparent when the feed ratio for the copolymer contained 7 parts of the hydantoin moiety to 3 parts of the sodium sulfonate moiety. The polymers were added into a commercial water-based latex paint, and upon drying, the painted surfaces treated with the water-miscible copolymers were rendered antimicrobial following chlorination with dilute household bleach. The chlorinated homopolymer failed to provide an antimicrobial property for the paint because of its tendency to isolate into aggregates in the paint, while the completely miscible copolymers were capable of 6-log inactivation of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli O157:H7 within 5 min of contact time.  相似文献

Obtained results of micro and nano studies reveal that bismuth refines the silicon in which the flake silicon changed to lamellar structure with reduction in twin spacing from 160 to 75 nm. Bismuth segregates towards the inter-dendritic regions and decreases the Al-Si contact angle resulting in suppression of the silicon growth causing refinement of the eutectic structure. Increased recalescence temperature and time confirmed that the refinement effect is attributed to the growth stage.  相似文献

 The effect of multi-step tempering on retained austenite content and mechanical properties of low alloy steel used in the forged cold back-up roll was investigated. Microstructural evolutions were characterized by optical microscope, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and Feritscope, while the mechanical properties were determined by hardness and tensile tests. The results revealed that the content of retained austenite decreased by about 2% after multi-step tempering. However, the content of retained austenite increased from 36% to 51% by increasing multi-step tempering temperature. The hardness and tensile strength increased as the austenitization temperature changed from 800 to 920 ℃, while above 920 ℃, hardness and tensile strength decreased. In addition, the maximum values of hardness, ultimate and yield strength were obtained via triple tempering at 520 ℃, while beyond 520 ℃, the hardness, ultimate and yield strength decreased sharply.  相似文献

Based on a real case study from the automotive industry, this paper deals with production planning in powertrain plants. We present an overview of the production planning process and propose a mixed integer linear programme to determine the production quantities of each product over a planning horizon of several days. Then, using real data of an engine assembly line, we simulate the performance obtained through the proposed model within a rolling horizon planning process. We perform multiple tests in order to evaluate the impact of two parameters involved in this process: planning frequency and frozen horizon length. Furthermore, in order to illustrate the value of improving coordination between engine plants and their customers, we evaluate the impact of the quality of demand information (orders and forecasts). We analyse the simulation results and provide insights and recommendations in order to achieve a good trade-off between service level, inventory, and planning stability.  相似文献

The major limitation of direct application of tannery sludge compost in agriculture is the total heavy metal contents and their bioavailability to the soil-plant system. This study focused on the heavy metal characterization and the influence of changing the physicochemical properties of the medium throughout the composting on the concentrations, bioavailability or chemical forms of Cr, Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd in tannery sludge. The study shows that throughout the 60 days of composting, physicochemical analysis and Fourier-transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic characterization show that all parameters elaborated and reached relatively stable levels reflecting the stability and maturity of the final product, and revealed the biodegradation of components that can be easily assimilated by microorganism. The C/N ratio reaches the optimal range of stable compost; inorganic nitrogen is transformed into stable organic forms. The total concentration of Cr, Zn, Cu, Pb and Cd is very low rendering final compost acceptable for agricultural use. The germination index for both Chinese cabbage and lettuce was 97% after 60 days of composting, showing that the final compost was not phytotoxic. Furthermore, in using a sequential extraction method in sludge compost at different phases of treatment, a less than 2% of metals bound to bioavailable fractions X-(KNO(3)+H(2)O). A large proportion of the heavy metals were associated to the residual fraction (75-85%) and more resistant fractions to extraction X-NaOH, X-EDTA, X-HNO(3) (15-25%). Mobile fractions of metals are poorly predictable from the total content. Bioavailability of all fractions of elements tends to decrease.  相似文献

 In this study, the effect of gating systems, mould coating and sand grain size on metallurgical and mechanical properties of TWDI casting were investigated. Two different gating systems; stepped and tapered runners, were used to cast strip samples. The thicknesses of the samples cast were 2.3, 3.3, 4.5, 5.4, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 mm. The samples were cast in CO2/silicate process moulds of two different sand grain sizes of 151 and 171 according to the AFS standard. To assess the effect of mould coat on the properties of TWDI, half of the moulds were coated with graphite-based zircon whilst the rest were left uncoated. The carbon equivalent (CE) of the molten metal prepared was 4.29% and poured at the temperatures of 1450°C. The microstructure of the cast specimens was analyzed by optical and scanning electron microscopes. Clemex Image Analyzer (CIA) was used to evaluate graphite nodule count, graphite nodules area fraction, roundness and diameter of the nodules of the TWDI cast samples. Brinell hardness and tensile tests were also conducted on all the samples. The results show that by using stepped runner gating system with uncoated and coarse sand grain size mould, roundness and graphite nodule counts decrease. However, graphite nodules diameter and area fraction increase. The results also show that finer sand grain size and coated mould produce longer distance of molten metal travel.  相似文献

Takayasu's arteritis is a chronic inflammatory arteriopathy. It mainly affects the aortic arch and its main branches. The aortic valve annulus and coronary and pulmonary arteries are rarely affected. Mitral and tricuspid annular calcification were not reported previously. We identified mitral annular calcification by using transthoracic echocardiography in 3 patients with Takayasu's arteritis, in whom none had any of the reported causes of mitral annular calcification. Two of them had concomitant tricuspid and aortic annular calcification.  相似文献

A new acylated and triterpenoidal saponin, named GS1, was isolated from the roots of Gypsophila arrostii Guss. On the basis of acid hydrolysis, comprehensive spectroscopic analyses and comparison with spectral data of known compounds, its structure was established as 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-[β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3)]-D-glucopyranosyl-{21-O-[(E)-3,4,5trimethoxycinnamoyl]}21-hydroxygypsogenin 28-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)- [β-D-arabinopyranosyl-(1→3)]-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→3]-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl ester. Previously obtained cloud point curves for mixtures of oligomeric poly(dimethyl siloxanes) (weight fraction W1) with oligomeric polyethylenes have been supplemented by the use of samples of higher molecular weight. Initial flat regions at low-medium W1 as well as a slight shoulder at extremely high W1 are now considered to be due to crystallization, since the temperatures at which they occur are the melting points of the oligoethylenes. The actual cloud point curves were of an unsymmetrical dome shape, the form of which could not be simulated by using a concentration-independent interaction parameter g in the Flory-Huggins equation. However, spinodals calculated by assuming a quadratic dependence of g on composition were of the same shape as the experimental cloud point curves. The critical compositions calculated on this basis were also close to the experimental ones.  相似文献

Several formulations based on blends of hydrogenated palm oil (MP 41·5°C) and palm stearin (IV 44) with other liquid oils, on direct blends of palm stearin with other liquid oils, and on 100% inter-esterified palm olein, were used as feedstocks in shortening production. The shortenings were stored at 20°C over a period of one month. Physicochemical characteristics, creaming properties and baking performance of the shortenings were evaluated and compared with the best shortening on the market. Slip melting point of the shortenings ranged from 41·5 to 46·4°C. Palm-cottonseed oil shortenings had higher solid fat contents at all temperatures than palm-soya bean or palm-low erucic acid rapeseed oil shortenings. The shortenings were rich in C50, C52and C54 glycerides. Creaming power after 12 min of beating ranged from 1·55 to 1·77 cm3 g?1. Palm stearin-cottonseed (3:2) oil shortening showed the best creaming performance. The specific volume of cakes ranged, for the experimental shortening, from 90% to 101% from the control, with low erucic acid-palm blends showing the best performance. In applications for both aerated cream and cakes, inter-esterified palm olein was excellent.  相似文献
