Mathematical morphology is a theory with applications in image processing and analysis. This paper presents a quantale-based approach to color morphology based on the CIELab color space in spherical coordinates. The novel morphological operations take into account the perceptual difference between color elements by using a distance-based ordering scheme. Furthermore, the novel approach allows for the use of non-flat structuring elements. An illustrative example reveals that non-flat dilations and erosions may preserve more features of a color image than their corresponding flat operations. Furthermore, the novel non-flat morphological operators yielded promising results on experiments concerning the detection of the boundaries of objects on color images. 相似文献

Two main data models are currently used for representing knowledge and information in computer systems. Database models, especially relational databases, have been the leader in last few decades, enabling information to be efficiently stored and queried. This work presents a study on the performance of several algorithms on different continuous dynamic optimization problems. Eight algorithms have been used: SORIGA (an Evolutionary Algorithm), an agents-based algorithm, the mQSO (a widely used multi-population PSO) as well as three heuristic-rule-based variations of it, and two trajectory-based cooperative strategies. The algorithms have been tested on the Moving Peaks Benchmark and the dynamic version of the Ackley, Griewank and Rastrigin functions. For each problem, a wide variety of configuration variations have been used, emphasizing the influence of dynamism, and using a full-factorial experimental design. The results give an interesting overview of the properties of the algorithms and their applicability, and provide useful hints to face new problems of this type with the best algorithmic approach. Comprehensive design schemes and specifications have progressively shaped Master-Planned Communities (MPCs). The market largely predetermines these outcomes, with background input from communities. Therefore, this paper endeavours to define the fundamental structures that generate differences between market actors and residents within the North Lakes MPC. This study employs ‘habitus theory’, which is a sociological phenomenon describing the divergence of personal outlooks and expertise. The application of this theory is thus illustrative of the evolution of distinct observations within MPCs. Contemporary studies have under-researched these inherent gaps between communities, authorities, and critics, and these frictions could be exacerbated within restrictive developmental contexts. Epistemic and objectified content analyses collated over many years and sources will uncover the underlying differences between the relevant groups. We experimentally demonstrate a hybrid configuration for quantum key distribution that combines the simplicity of distributed-phase-reference protocols with the self-referencing features and polarization insensitivity of the so-called plug-and-play system. Additionally, all the components are arranged in a server–client scheme to allow for practical key distribution. Blank, coherent pulse pair trains are generated at the reception end of the link by means of a pulse sequence and an unbalanced interferometer and sent to the other end. The emitter writes the qubits by erasing one of the pulses from the pair as in a coherent one-way protocol. The behaviour of La0.6Sr0.4CoO3 applied to ferritic stainless steel (AISI 430) by spray pyrolysis was investigated after oxidation at 800 °C in air. The film was characterized with regard to its morphology, structure and adhesion. The film was regular over the entire surface and adhered well to the metallic substrate. Oxidation modified the film structure, forming an oxide (SrCrO4) in the metal/coating region due to Sr diffusion from the coating and Cr diffusion from the metallic substrate. A thermodynamic computational simulation confirmed the formation and stability of this oxide. 相似文献
