A new realisation scheme for third order lowpass Butterworth filter function (BFF) using two CFA devices and few RC components is presented. The design equations utilise the transadmittance elements of the devices. The maximally flat response at select frequencies in the range 5 MHz ≤ f o ≤ 30 MHz had been verified with PSPICE macromodel simulation and by hardware circuit implementation using the AD-844 device. The active sensitivities are quite low. The simulation result and the measured responses are included for f o = 5.1 MHz and 22.2 MHz.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new routing protocol for IEEE 802.11s wireless mesh network to overcome the problems associated with the conventional proactive and reactive routing approaches. The proposed ‘Selective Greedy’ (SelG) routing protocol operates in two phases. In the first phase it exploits the proactive mode of Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol, the standard routing protocol for IEEE 802.11s mesh, and constructs a set of potential forwarders for every mesh point, that can act as the next-hop relay. In the second phase, during the actual data communication, a candidate is selected from the set of potential forwarders based on a local optimization. The optimization procedure considers the statistical effect of local link quality fluctuation and interference over the global routing path selection. This way the SelG protocol reduces the control packet flooding in the network (a major drawback for reactive protocols). At the same time, the optimization procedure captures the network dynamics, and thus avoids the possibility of routing based on stale information (a drawback for proactive protocols). The routing properties and the correctness of the SelG protocol is established theoretically, and the performance of the protocol is analyzed through simulation results. The proposed protocol is implemented in an indoor wireless mesh testbed, and the performance is evaluated and compared with other traditional approaches.  相似文献

We present efficient labelling of several proteins with orange‐emissive carbon dots. N‐Hydroxysuccinimide was used to activate the carboxyl groups of carbon dots, which subsequently reacted with the lysine groups present on the protein. Labelling was confirmed by UV absorption spectroscopy, PAGE and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy. Protein‐conjugated carbon dots showed an enhancement in fluorescence lifetime and intensity owing to reduced intramolecular dynamic fluctuations. Single‐molecule fluorescence measurements showed reduced fluorescence fluctuations and higher photon budget after protein tagging. Our study opens up opportunities to use carbon dots as highly precise biolabelling probes.  相似文献

Ionic polythiophenes are important conjugated polymers because of their excellent optical properties and water solubility. They are classified as cationic, anionic and zwitterionic conjugated polyelectrolytes. This review article describes concisely their biological and analytical applications. The specific detection of different negatively charged biomolecules such as DNA and adenosine triphosphate, anions like halides and toxic pseudo‐halide (CN ?) and environmental pollutants, e.g. surfactants, is discussed. The conformational changes of cationic polythiophenes (CPTs ) induced by various analytes due to formation of ionic conjugates and the cooperative responses of all segments cause dominant signal amplification even in the presence of a small perturbation. In addition, reactive oxygen scavenging, antimicrobial photosensitizing and cell imaging applications of CPTs are documented. Use of anionic polythiophenes for sensing of protamine and cations like Cu2+ and Ca2+ is also discussed. Finally, sensing of DNA , peptides and surfactants by zwitterionic polythiophenes is included. High‐performance nanocomposites of NaCMC with GO are produced by solution casting. FESEM images reveal a good homogeneous dispersion of GO in the NaCMC matrix. The composite formation is facilitated by H‐bonding interaction between GO and NaCMC. Tg of the composites increases with increasing GO concentration. The storage modulus (G′) exhibits a maximum 174% increase over NaCMC at 1 wt% GO. The mechanical properties of the composites exhibit highest increase of tensile stress and Young's modulus of 188 ± 4% and 154 ± 11%, respectively, for 1 wt% GO. Analysis of Young's modulus (Ey) data using the Halpin‐Tsai equation suggests that the Ey data are close to the unidirectional orientation at >0.5 wt% GO, indicating more efficient load transfer at these compositions.

The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of porous calcium phosphates viz., hydroxyapatite (HAp) and a bi-phasic calcium phosphate (BCP) with predominately β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) prepared by aqueous solution combustion method impregnated with cefuroxime axetil for the treatment of experimental osteomyelitis and compared with parenteral treatment. In vitro release of the drug was tested for its sustained elution characteristics for 21 days in PBS (pH 7.2) and measured by HPLC. In the in vivo study, bone infection was induced in tibia of rabbits by inoculation of 1 ml (3 × 106) CFU Staphylococcus aureus. On the 21st day, after the development of osteomyelitis, six animals were treated by filling the cavity with cefuroxime-impregnated HAp blocks (Group II), six animals with the same drug-impregnated β-TCP (Group III) and in six others, only cefuroxime (15 mg/kg twice daily) was injected parenterally 6 weeks (Group IV). Group I with six animals was kept untreated. Histologically, the signs of infection were found to subside by 3 and 6 weeks. Radiological evaluation with cefuroxime-impregnated HAp and β-TCP pointed out the disappearance of sequestrum and existence of newly formed bony specules. Concentration of cefuroxime in bone and serum as estimated by HPLC showed highest value on day 21 itself which reduced marginally by day 42 in both the groups and these values were higher than minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against S. aureus. Our findings suggest that bi-phasic calcium phosphates with predominately β-TCP content is a very efficient carrier material for antibiotic compounds even for refractory infections by S. aureus.  相似文献

A new mesoporous iron(III) borate material has been synthesized hydrothermally by using supramolecular assembly of cationic (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, CTAB) or anionic (sodiumdodecyl sulfate, SDS) surfactant as structure directing agent (SDA) during co-condensation of Fe(III) and H3BO3 under controlled pH condition. Powder X-ray diffraction, N2 sorption, HRTEM, FE-SEM-EDS, AAS, FT-IR and UV–Vis spectroscopic tools, Mössbauer and magnetization measurements are used to characterize the nanostructure, porosity, morphology, chemical composition and magnetic properties. Template molecules can be removed from the as-synthesized material by two consecutive HCl–EtOH extraction and the template-free sample showed good surface area with a peak pore width of ca. 2.6 nm. Spectroscopic results suggested the octahedral coordination of Fe(III) in the FeBO3 framework. Magnetic measurements suggested the coexistence of antiferromagnetic core and the glassy magnetic behavior. The glassy magnetic behavior is ascribed to the dominant surface magnetism for mesoporous FeBO3. Acid catalytic properties of this material in liquid phase benzylation of mesityline and anisole have been studied.  相似文献

In the present work, two types of shear thickening fluids have been synthesized by using neat and aminosilane functionalized silica nanoparticles and their viscosity curves have been obtained by the rheometer. Based on the values of peak viscosity of synthesized shear thickening fluids, the surface functionalized nanosilica based shear thickening fluid has been chosen as a best candidate due to the high viscosity for impregnation into the neat Kevlar of different layers viz. four (04) and eight (08) layers for velocity impact study. The experimental investigations reveal high energy absorption of shear thickening fluid impregnated Kevlar as compared to the neat Kevlar. The maximum energy absorption 62 J is achieved corresponding to the initial velocity 154 m∙s−1 for 08 layers shear thickening fluid impregnated Kevlar specimen. The data have also been analytically determined and validated with the experimental data. The experimental data have good agreement with the analytical data within the accuracy of around 15 to 20%. The present findings can have significant inferences towards the fabrication of shear thickening fluids using nanomaterials for numerous applications such as soft armors, dampers, nanofinishing and so forth.  相似文献

Interleukin (IL)-33 is a member of the interleukin (IL)-1 family of cytokines linked to the development of inflammatory conditions and cancer in the gastrointestinal tract. This study is designed to investigate whether IL-33 has a direct effect on human gastric epithelial cells (GES-1), the human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line (AGS), and the gastric carcinoma cell line (NCI-N87) by assessing its role in the regulation of cell proliferation, migration, cell cycle, and apoptosis. Cell cycle regulation was also determined in ex vivo gastric cancer samples obtained during endoscopy and surgical procedures. Cell lines and tissue samples underwent stimulation with rhIL-33. Proliferation was assessed by XTT and CFSE assays, migration by wound healing assay, and apoptosis by caspase 3/7 activity assay and annexin V assay. Cell cycle was analyzed by means of propidium iodine assay, and gene expression regulation was assessed by RT-PCR profiling. We found that IL-33 has an antiproliferative and proapoptotic effect on cancer cell lines, and it can stimulate proliferation and reduce apoptosis in normal epithelial cell lines. These effects were also confirmed by the analysis of cell cycle gene expression, which showed a reduced expression of pro-proliferative genes in cancer cells, particularly in genes involved in G0/G1 and G2/M checkpoints. These results were confirmed by gene expression analysis on bioptic and surgical specimens. The aforementioned results indicate that IL-33 may be involved in cell proliferation in an environment- and cell-type-dependent manner.  相似文献
