Poly [2‐(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate], PDMAEMA, was synthesized by heterophase polymerization at 70°C using sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) as stabilizer and potassium persulfate (KPS) as the initiator. Conversions were 60%, polymer content 18%, and intensity average particle diameter, Dp, 32 nm. γ‐rays irradiation of PDMAEMA nanolatexes and DMAEMA/H2O/SDS microemulsions using ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate produced nanogels responding to temperature and pH. Nanogels shrinked as temperature increased, swelled excessively in acidic solutions (maximum Dp: 498 nm) and deswelled (minimum Dp: 257 nm) in basic solutions for the case of the nanogels obtained from PDMAEMA nanolatexes. pH response to swelling is due to protonation of amine groups in the backbone of PDMAEMA in acidic conditions leading to electrostatic interactions in the nanogel. We describe similarities and differences between complementary-code-key (CCK) modulation and modulation that is derived from biorthogonal signals, and we present performance results and other information that may be useful to those who have applications for CCK modulation that do not require IEEE 802.11b compliance. The properties and performance of the highrate IEEE CCK 802.11b modulation formats are investigated and compared with the properties and performance of alternative modulation formats that are based on biorthogonal signals. Several complementary properties are derived for the full-rate (11 Mb/s) CCK signal set, the half-rate (5.5 Mb/s) CCK signal set, a full-rate signal set obtained from biorthogonal signals, and a half-rate biorthogonal signal set. Each signal set is a complementary set, but each also has stronger complementary properties. We evaluate the performance of IEEE 802.11b standard CCK modulation, CCK with certain modifications that depart from the IEEE standard, and modulation that is derived from biorthogonal signals. Performance comparisons are presented for additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels and for channels with specular multipath. In particular, for AWGN channels, we provide an accurate analytical approximation for the frame error probability for full-rate CCK modulation. 相似文献

The objective of the present study was to identify antimicrobial peptides present in several digests of commercial caseins with gastric enzymes. The most active hydrolysate against Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Listeria innocua CECT 910T corresponded to a pepsin digest of bovine kappa-casein. The protein digest was first separated by semipreparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and the most active fractions were again subjected to a second chromatographic step. Finally, identification of the active peptides was carried out by online and offline HPLC-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry. By means of this technique, 21 peptides were identified in the active HPLC fractions. Although most were derived from bovine kappa-casein, some of the identified fragments corresponded to beta-casein and alpha(s)-casein fragments, a result of the presence of small amounts of these proteins in the preparation of kappa-casein. Some of the peptides identified were chemically synthesized and showed antibacterial effects against several gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Among the synthesized peptides, kappa-casein f(18-24), f(30-32), and f(139-146) were most effective against all bacteria tested. The antibacterial effect of these peptides is discussed in relation to their amino acid sequences. 相似文献

The challenge of mimicking the extracellular matrix with artificial scaffolds that are able to reduce immunoresponse is still unmet. Recent findings have shown that mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) infiltrating into the implanted scaffold have effects on the implant integration by improving the healing process. Toward this aim, a novel polyamidoamine‐based nanocomposite hydrogel is synthesized, cross‐linked with porous nanomaterials (i.e., mesoporous silica nanoparticles), able to release chemokine proteins. A comprehensive viscoelasticity study confirms that the hydrogel provides optimal structural support for MSC infiltration and proliferation. The efficiency of this hydrogel, containing the chemoattractant stromal cell‐derived factor 1α (SDF‐1α), in promoting MSC migration in vitro is demonstrated. Finally, subcutaneous implantation of SDF‐1α‐releasing hydrogels in mice results in a modulation of the inflammatory reaction. Overall, the proposed SDF‐1α‐nanocomposite hydrogel proves to have potential for applications in tissue engineering. 相似文献

In this paper, a Cox proportional hazard model with error effect applied on the study of an accelerated life test is investigated. Statistical inference under Bayesian methods by using the Markov chain Monte Carlo techniques is performed in order to estimate the parameters involved in the model and predict reliability in an accelerated life testing. The proposed model is applied to the analysis of the knock sensor failure time data in which some observations in the data are censored. The failure times at a constant stress level are assumed to be from a Weibull distribution. The analysis of the failure time data from an accelerated life test is used for the posterior estimation of parameters and prediction of the reliability function as well as the comparisons with the classical results from the maximum likelihood estimation.
