Event‐triggered control design for nonlinear systems with actuator failures and uncertain disturbances

Traditional adaptive event‐triggered design methods compensated for the event‐triggered error are not direct, and the stability analysis of resulting close‐loop systems is rather complicated. To alleviate the above restrictions, we propose a direct and simple event‐triggered co‐design method to solve the tracking control problem for parameter strict‐feedback systems with actuator faults and uncertain disturbances. By introducing a compensating terms in a smooth function form of a conventional control law and certain positive integrable functions, the effects of actuator faults and event‐triggered error can be compensated completely. Such a direct design method has the following features: (i) a direct compensation of the event‐triggered error is achieved without introducing any extra design parameters; (ii) it is not necessary to know any bound information on the parameters of event‐triggered threshold, and global asymptotic tracking control of the overall closed‐loop system is achieved; and (iii) the resulting stability criteria of the proposed event‐triggered control design are much simpler and easier to fulfill by virtue of the introduced co‐design method. Simulations are then carried out to validate the proposed schemes.

Transient free convection in passive buildings using 2D air-filled parallelogram-shaped enclosures with discrete isothermal heat sources

This work evaluates the transient convective exchanges taking place in a building wall made up of air-filled inclined cells. Each cell is formed by two vertical active walls connected by a channel of insulating material. The active hot wall is composed by alternated isothermal and adiabatic bands and is opposite to the active cold wall. Both walls are vertical and separated by a distance equal to their height. The channel connecting these walls is inclined at an angle α with respect to the horizontal, being the values considered in the present work 0° (square cell), ±15°, ±30°, ±45° and ±60°. Two-dimensional temperature fields and streamlines are presented at some representative instants. The temporal evolution of the average Nusselt number at each band of the hot wall is determined for all the treated configurations. Numerical results are validated by comparison with other experimental and numerical studies for cavities with isothermal hot wall in steady state. The maximum deviation found is about 9% for the Nusselt number. This can be considered as very satisfactory for this type of studies characterized by high Rayleigh numbers varying between 1 × 10⁵ and 3 × 10⁸, representative of real building installations.     

Modifications in the properties of gypsum construction element via addition of expanded macroporous silica granules

The present study is focused on the production of light weight silicate based macroporous filler for hardened gypsum and its effect on the product properties. Highly porous, durable foam like silica granules were produced from the relatively low cost material of silica gel desiccant. Swelling behaviour and mineralogical structure of the granules after swelling were examined. Different sample series were produced by replacing gypsum by expanded silica gel. Physical properties of the hardened gypsum were improved by the addition of expanded silica gel granules. Thermal conductivity of the gypsum decreased significantly when the expanded silica gel granules introduced into the gypsum. Expanded silica gel addition also improved the high temperature durability of gypsum. Much better integrity was observed after the testing of samples at 700 °C when compared to control series.     

Anticonvulsant activity of furanocoumarins and the essential oil obtained from the fruits of Heracleum crenatifolium

The anticonvulsant activity of furanocoumarins, coumarin mixture and the essential oil obtained from the fruits of Heracleum crenatifolium was examined against maximal electroshock (MES)-induced seizures in mice. Bergapten showed significant anticonvulsant activity. The furanocoumarins isolated from the fruits of the plant were identified using thin-layer chromatography, melting points and spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, ¹H NMR) as isobergapten (1), pimpinellin (2), bergapten (3), isopimpinellin (4), sphondin (5) and byak-angelicol (6). The essential oil content of the fruits were found as 5.5%. Twenty-two compounds representing 99.3% of the essential oil obtained from the fruits of H. crenatifolium were determined and the major components were identified as octanol and octyl acetate (3.1% and 88.4% respectively) by GC and GC–MS.

BHP6602型小型γ相机的临床验证研究

甲状腺模型和 5 9例临床志愿者分别用BHP6 6 0 2型γ相机和Sigma 4 2 0γ相机进行甲状腺显像 (5 5例 )和甲状旁腺显像 (4例 ) ,并对显像结果进行比较。结果表明BHP6 6 0 2型γ相机与Sigma 4 2 0γ相机的显像结果与临床诊断符合率完全一致 ,前者图像质量优于后者。BHP6 6 0 2型γ相机完全适用于小脏器显像。
