Optimum conditions for scaling up the synthesis of furyl-2 oxyrane from furfural have been determined. A continuous stirred tank reactor proved the most efficient configuration for the production of the oxirane. The major problem with the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) algorithm is its lack of a theoretical framework. So, it is difficult to characterize and evaluate this approach. In this paper, we propose, in the 2-D case, the use of an alternative implementation to the algorithmic definition of the so-called "sifting process" used in the original Huang's EMD method. This approach, especially based on partial differential equations (PDEs), was presented by Niang in previous works, in 2005 and 2007, and relies on a nonlinear diffusion-based filtering process to solve the mean envelope estimation problem. In the 1-D case, the efficiency of the PDE-based method, compared to the original EMD algorithmic version, was also illustrated in a recent paper. Recently, several 2-D extensions of the EMD method have been proposed. Despite some effort, 2-D versions for EMD appear poorly performing and are very time consuming. So in this paper, an extension to the 2-D space of the PDE-based approach is extensively described. This approach has been applied in cases of both signal and image decomposition. The obtained results confirm the usefulness of the new PDE-based sifting process for the decomposition of various kinds of data. Some results have been provided in the case of image decomposition. The pedagogical product presented below is a practical work intended to the electrical engineering students, fourth year, of the National Institut of Applied Sciences of Rennes. This work is a part of filter realisation programme either in microstrip technology or lumped element. This compact and lightweight patient-mounted robot is designed so as to fulfill the requirements of most interventional radiology procedures. It is built from an original 5 DOF parallel structure with a semispherical workspace, particularly well suited to CT-scan interventional procedures. An efficient low power protection scheme for thin gate oxide of high voltage (HV) DMOS transistor is presented. To prevent gate-oxide breakdown and protect HV transistor, the voltage controlling its gate must be within 5 V from the HV supply. Thus signals from the low voltage domain must be level shifted to control the gate of this transistor. Usually this level shifting involves complex circuits that reduce the speed besides requiring of large power and area. In this paper, a simple and efficient protection technique for gate-oxide breakdown is achieved by connecting a capacitor divider structure to the floating-gate node of HV transistor to increase its effective gate oxide thickness. Several HV circuits, including: positive and negative HV doublers and level-up shifters suitable for ultrasound sensing systems are built successfully around the proposed technique. These circuits were implemented with 0.8 μm CMOS/DMOS HV DALSA process. Simulation and experimental results prove the good functionality of the designed HV circuits using the proposed protection technique for voltages up to 200 V. 相似文献

A system for the automatic measurement of the circadian activity deviations in telemedicine has been developed within the framework of a "Health Integrated Smart Home Information System" (HIS2). HIS2 is an experimental platform for the evaluation and the development of technologies in order to ensure the security and quality of life for patients who need home based medical monitoring. Location sensors are placed in each room of the HIS2, allowing the monitoring of patient's successive activity phases within the patient's home environment. We proceeded with a sampling in an hourly schedule to detect weak rhythmic variations. Based on numerous measurements, we established a mean value with confidence limits. These also allowed us to define a zone within which the patient's activity is qualified to be "predictable." Alerts are set off if the patient's activity deviates from this zone. 相似文献

New fault behaviors can emerge with the introduction of a drowsy mode to SRAMs. In this work, we show that, in addition to
the data-retention faults that can occur during the drowsy mode, open defects in SRAM cells can also result in new fault behaviors
when a memory is accessed immediately after wake-up. We first describe these new read-after-drowsy (RAD) fault behaviors and
derive their corresponding fault primitives (FPs). Then, we propose a new March test, called March RAD, by inserting drowsy
operations to a traditional test algorithm. Finally, the impact of the standby supply voltage on triggering the drowsy faults
in SRAM cells is investigated. It is shown that, as the supply voltage is reduced in the drowsy mode to further cut down leakage,

A new biologically-inspired vision sensor made of one hundred “eyes” is presented, which is suitable for real-time acquisition and processing of 3-D image sequences. This device, named the Panoptic camera, consists of a layered arrangement of approximately 100 classical CMOS imagers, distributed over a hemisphere of 13 cm in diameter. The Panoptic camera is a polydioptric system where all imagers have their own vision of the world, each with a distinct focal point, which is a specific feature of the Panoptic system. This enables 3-D information recording such as omnidirectional stereoscopy or depth estimation, applying specific signal processing. The algorithms dictating the image reconstruction of an omnidirectional observer located at any point inside the hemisphere are presented. A hardware architecture which has the capability of handling these algorithms, and the flexibility to support additional image processing in real time, has been developed as a two-layer system based on FPGAs. The detail of the hardware architecture, its internal blocks, the mapping of the algorithms onto the latter elements, and the device calibration procedure are presented, along with imaging results. 相似文献

Recently Victor Shoup noted that there is a gap in the widely believed security
result of OAEP against adaptive chosen-ciphertext attacks. Moreover, he showed
that, presumably, OAEP cannot be proven secure from the one-wayness of the underlying
trapdoor permutation. This paper establishes another result on the security of OAEP.
It proves that OAEP offers semantic security against adaptive chosen-ciphertext attacks,
in the random oracle model, under the partial-domain one-wayness of the underlying
permutation. Therefore, this uses a formally stronger assumption. Nevertheless, since
partial-domain one-wayness of the RSA function is equivalent to its (full-domain) onewayness,
it follows that the security of RSA-OAEP can actually be proven under the
