A class of artificial neural networks with a two‐layer feedback topology to solve nonlinear discrete dynamic optimization problems is developed. Generalized recurrent neuron models are introduced. A direct method to assign the weights of neural networks is presented. The method is based on Bellmann's Optimality Principle and on the interchange of information which occurs during the synaptic chemical processing among neurons. A comparative analysis of the computational requirements is made. The analysis shows advantages of this approach as compared to the standard dynamic programming algorithm. A short survey of cellular automata based models for corrosion and passivation phenomena is given. Results of simulations based on the model of spatially separated anodic and cathodic reactions are presented for a cavity development from a point-like damage of a protective layer and from an initially flat unprotected surface. We show some new peculiar examples of the symmetry breaking in the cavity development. The results for the initially flat surface show roughening of the surface at the beginning of the corrosion process. After that, pit merging causes a resmoothing of the surface. An oscillatory behavior of the surface roughness is observed caused by a peninsula formation with subsequent island detachment. These results are obtained in 2D because of computational limitations. We plan simulations in 3D and point out the problems we encounter in their realization. 相似文献

Susceptibility of the steel for further cold processing strongly depends on the whole prior history of deformation in the hot working regime.In the industrial hot working processes,e.g.at the roughing stage of hot rolling,or forging,material undergoes complex deformation modes that leads to gradients of both microstructure and properties across the deformed cross-section.Torsion and multiaxial compression tests with different amounts of strain reversals were conducted at elevated temperatures to study the effect of applied strain path on the phenomena occurring during microstructure evolution of Nb-microalloyed steels.Gathered results will provide data for the modification of existing constitutive equations that mostly do not account for the strain path changes.Better through-process modelling will then enable to achieve better properties and quality of the products for further cold processing. 相似文献

The article presents a new idea of the application of polymer track membranes (PTM) for immobilization of a reagent in fiber optic chemical sensors. PTM was made of a poly(ethylene terephthalate) foil (10 μm in thickness, pores of 0.2 μm in diameter). The usefulness of membranes additionally covered by poly(vinyl chloride) was tested in a fiber optic redox titrator. The titrator utilized N,N′-diphenylbenzidine as a reagent which changes its absorbance in dependence on the redox potential. The measuring system is based on a lightemitting diode and a silicon photodiode connected to a bifurcated fiber optic bundle. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second most common cause of cancer in women and the third in men. The postoperative pathomorphological evaluation of patients with CRC is extremely important for future therapeutic decisions. Although our previous studies demonstrated high galanin (GAL) presence within tumor tissue and an elevated concentration of GAL in the serum of CRC patients, to date, there is a lack of data regarding GAL receptor (GalR) protein expression in CRC cells. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of all three types of GalRs (GalR1, GalR2 and GalR3) within epithelial cells of the human colon and CRC tissue with the use of the immunohistochemical method and to correlate the results with the clinical-pathological data. We found stronger immunoreactivity of GalR1 and GalR3 in CRC cells compared to epithelial cells of the unchanged mucosa of the large intestine. No differences in the GalR2 protein immunoreactivity between the studied tissues were noted. We also found that the increased immunoexpression of the GalR3 in CRC tissue correlated with the better prognosis and longer survival (p < 0.0079) of CRC patients (n = 55). The obtained results suggest that GalR3 may play the role of a prognostic factor for CRC patients. Based on data from the TCGA-COAD project deposited in the GDC Data Portal, we also found that GalR mRNA in cancer samples and the adjacent normal tissue did not correlate with immunoexpression of the GalR proteins in CRC cells and epithelial cells of the unchanged mucosa. 相似文献

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common malignancy among children. Despite the enormous progress in ALL therapy, resulting in achieving a 5-year survival rate of up to 90%, the ambitious goal of reaching a 100% survival rate is still being pursued. A typical ALL treatment includes three phases: remission induction and consolidation and maintenance, preceded by a prednisone prephase. Poor prednisone response (PPR) is defined as the presence of ≥1.0 × 109 blasts/L in the peripheral blood on day eight of therapy and results in significantly frequent relapses and worse outcomes. Hence, identifying risk factors of steroid resistance and finding methods of overcoming that resistance may significantly improve patients’ outcomes. A mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (MAPK-ERK) pathway seems to be a particularly attractive target, as its activation leads to steroid resistance via a phosphorylating Bcl-2-interacting mediator of cell death (BIM), which is crucial in the steroid-induced cell death. Several mutations causing activation of MAPK-ERK were discovered, notably the interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7R) pathway mutations in T-cell ALL and rat sarcoma virus (Ras) pathway mutations in precursor B-cell ALL. MAPK-ERK pathway inhibitors were demonstrated to enhance the results of dexamethasone therapy in preclinical ALL studies.
