Msayer is a dry salted lemon used as an aromatising condiment in many North-African food recipes. This preparation is obtained by adding coarse salt (10 g/100 g fresh lemons) to fresh cut lemons in containers kept under dark conditions away from air for around a month and a half. A survey of 52 days showed low initial uptake of citric acid and sugars from the formed liquid phase. Nevertheless, there were still sugars detected even at the end of the survey attesting for the low microbial activity as also shown by carbon dioxide production and microbial viable counts. Indeed, the microbial counts showed a steady decrease reaching 2 log units at the 52nd day of curing. Moulds were detected only at the beginning but at low numbers. No viable counts of lactic acid bacteria were observed on MRS medium despite detection of lactic acid (8 g/l). In contrast, yeasts seem to dominate in the msayer preparation. They count for almost all the microbial population especially after the first week. Six of these acid and halotolerant yeast isolates were identified, by sequence analysis of the amplified 5.8S rRNA and the two internal transcribed spacer regions, as Candida parapsislosis (2 isolates) and unclassified Saccharomycetales (4 isolates).  相似文献

We describe a new methodology for the “in situ” identification of wire-bond degradation at early stages during high-temperature aging tests on devices with standard plastic packages. This methodology is based on the measurement of the changes in wire bond resistance, which is deduced from the I(V) characteristics of the ESD protection diodes on each contact pad of the circuit. In a first stage, the measurement procedure is described, with emphasis on the initial temperature calibration. This procedure allows for an “in situ” measurement sequence, where the packages stay in the aging chamber, at elevated temperature, during the electrical tests on the pad connections performed at different aging durations. By following accurately the package temperature, using a thermocouple, it is possible to correct for slight changes and thus get a reliable IV measurement for each interconnection. In the second stage, the aging test results are described, showing the evolution of each individual interconnection. We were able to identify the onset of wire-bond degradation through the progressive increase of their resistance. To allow for better determination of the degradation process, once an increase in wire bond resistance was detected, complete I(V) curves were recorded at the pin(s) of interest. For each pin of a TQFP64 package, the tests were performed at least twice a day, with increased density when initial failure is detected (one complete measurement every 3 h). This strategy allowed for the detection of different behaviors on the wire bonds: good ball bonds (i.e. ball bonds with no change in their resistance), ball bond with intermittent opens (these ball bonds are in the process of degradation, and thermo-mechanical stresses induced in the resin by very small temperature changes are sufficient to open or close the circuits) and completely destroyed ball bonds, for which the resistance stays in an “high” level. This approach to wire-bond degradation in plastic packages is very powerful in terms of the number of interconnections which can be followed “in real time” and especially has the advantage, over other classical approaches, that the devices under test stay operational, contrary to what occurs with other types of destructive testing. These electrical test results are compared with metallographic investigations performed after a series of mechanical tests on the ball bonds (wire pull/ball shear tests) on a set of identical devices which undergone exactly the same High Temperature Storage (HTS) aging for 2000 h at 165 °C.  相似文献

As MuGFETs are promising contenders for the end of the silicon Roadmap, their high-temperature behaviour needs to be addressed. In this work we investigate the variations of the subthreshold slope (SS) of double-gate devices and MuGFETs with intrinsic doping as a function of the temperature and fin width. Focus is placed on the superlinear behaviour of SS occurring above a certain temperature threshold. Numerical simulations are performed using Comsol Multiphysics and a 1D analytical model is developed. The model, which includes the effect of film and gate oxide thickness, is shown to accurately fit the numerical data. A new definition for the subthreshold slope under high-temperature operation is proposed. The high-temperature subthreshold slope degradation is shown to increase with fin width.  相似文献

In this paper we show that thiolated self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) can be used to anchor source–drain gold electrodes on the substrate, leading to excellent electrical performances of the organic field-effect transistor (OFET) on a par with those using a standard electrode process. Using an amorphous semiconductor and a gate dielectric functionalized with SAMs bearing different dipole moments, we demonstrate that we can tune the threshold voltage alone, while keeping nearly unchanged the other electrical properties (hole carrier mobility, Ion/Ioff ratio, subthreshold swing). This differs from previous studies for which SAMs functionalization induced significant changes in all the OFET electrical performances. This result opens doors to design organic circuits using reproducible amorphous semiconductor based OFETs for which only the threshold voltage can be tuned on demand.  相似文献

Single-crystal sapphire exhibits a highly anisotropic fracture behavior. The surfaces of specimens fractured along prismatic planes are wavy, with fractographic features appearing as small areas of contrast under an optical microscope. Optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray topography, and confocal microscopy are used to demonstrate a correlation between the areas of contrast and dislocations penetrating the sample surface. The surface features are argued to be a consequence of the stress field surrounding the dislocations, which deflect the crack approximately 10 nm normal to the surface as the crack cuts the dislocations. The lateral extent of measurable surface deflection is of the order of 5 μm. These images can be compared directly to show the equivalence of the position of the dislocations observed by X-ray topography and the surface contrast observed optically.  相似文献

Engineering of glycosidases with efficient transglycosidasesactivity is an alternative to glycosyltransferases or glycosynthasesfor the synthesis of oligosaccharides and glycoconjugates. However,the engineering of transglycosidases by directed evolution methodologiesis hampered by the lack of efficient screening systems for sugar-transferactivity. We report here the development of digital imaging-basedhigh-throughput screening methodology for the directed evolutionof glycosidases into transgalactosidases. Using this methodology,we detected transglycosidase mutants in intact Escherichia colicells by digital imaging monitoring of the activation of non-or low-hydrolytic mutants by an acceptor substrate. We screenedseveral libraries of mutants of β-glycosidase from Thermusthermophilus using this methodology and found variants withup to a 70-fold overall increase in the transglycosidase/hydrolysisactivity ratio. Using natural disaccharide acceptors, thesetransglycosidase mutants were able to synthesise trisaccharides,as a mixture of two regioisomers, with up to 76% yield.  相似文献

Statistics show that fatigue crack development comes first and foremost as a damage source in aerospace metallic structures. Currently, widespread methods are available to inspect these structures, but they are quite time-consuming, costly and require the structural system to be idle. Next, attempts to develop damage detection integrated systems are paramount for the safety and cost of such structures. This paper describes an investigation into the feasibility of using an integrated system based on Lamb waves in order to assess the integrity of riveted aluminium joints during cyclical loading. In this experimental analysis, Lamb waves are excited and received outside the joint area using piezoelectric transducers coupled onto the plates. The detected damage is cracks in joint resulting from fatigue loading. The collected signals on the piezoelectric transducers are analysed using Hilbert transform and time–frequency analysis. It is shown that the final interpretation of Lamb wave analysis may provide a means of sizing the defects and following the crack development. In addition to that, an acoustic emission system is used jointly with the Lamb wave analysis in order to discuss results and damage development. Finally, it is demonstrated that both methods can work together and the results obtained are in good agreement.  相似文献

The synthesis and anti-HIV evaluation of hitherto unknown 3′-fluoro-5′-norcarbocyclic nucleoside phosphonates bearing adenine with modifications at the 4′ position (ethynyl, vinyl, ethyl, hydroxymethyl) is described. One of the synthesized compounds was found to be an inhibitor of HIV-1 replication, but with moderate efficiency relative to (R)-9-(2-phosphonylmethoxypropyl)adenine ((R)-PMPA, tenofovir), with no concomitant cytotoxicity.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine i) if Camembert cheese micro-organisms could be detected in fecal samples after regular consumption by human subjects and ii) the consequence of this consumption on global metabolic activities of the host colonic microbiota. An open human protocol was designed where 12 healthy volunteers were included: a 2-week period of fermented products exclusion followed by a 4-weeks Camembert ingestion period where 2x40 g/day of Camembert cheese was consumed. Stools were collected from the volunteers before consumption, twice during the ingestion period (2nd and 4th week) and once after a wash out period of 2 weeks. During the consumption of Camembert cheese, high levels of Lactococcus lactis and Leuconostoc mesenteroides were measured in fecal samples using real-time quantitative PCR, reaching median values of 8.2 and 7.5 Log(10) genome equivalents/g of stool. For Ln. mesenteroides, persistence was observed 15 days after the end of Camembert consumption. The survival of Geotrichum candidum was also assessed and the fecal concentration reached a median level of 7.1 Log(10) CFU/g in stools. Except a decreasing trend of the nitrate reductase activity, no significant modification was shown in the metabolic activities during this study.  相似文献
