Principal motion components for one-shot gesture recognition

This paper introduces principal motion components (PMC), a new method for one-shot gesture recognition. In the considered scenario a single training video is available for each gesture to be recognized, which limits the application of traditional techniques (e.g., HMMs). In PMC, a 2D map of motion energy is obtained per each pair of consecutive frames in a video. Motion maps associated to a video are processed to obtain a PCA model, which is used for recognition under a reconstruction-error approach. The main benefits of the proposed approach are its simplicity, easiness of implementation, competitive performance and efficiency. We report experimental results in one-shot gesture recognition using the ChaLearn Gesture Dataset; a benchmark comprising more than 50,000 gestures, recorded as both RGB and depth video with a Kinect?camera. Results obtained with PMC are competitive with alternative methods proposed for the same data set.

Efficiently Testing Sparse <Emphasis Type="Italic">GF</Emphasis>(2) Polynomials

We give the first algorithm that is both query-efficient and time-efficient for testing whether an unknown function f:{0,1} ⁿ →{−1,1} is an s-sparse GF(2) polynomial versus ε-far from every such polynomial. Our algorithm makes poly(s,1/ε) black-box queries to f and runs in time n⋅poly(s,1/ε). The only previous algorithm for this testing problem (Diakonikolas et al. in Proceedings of the 48th Annual Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science, FOCS, pp. 549–558, 2007) used poly(s,1/ε) queries, but had running time exponential in s and super-polynomial in 1/ε.

Research and Implementation of Task Management Model in Product Development Process Management

The implementation of product development process management (PDPM) is an effective means of developing products with higher quality in shorter lead time. It is argued in this paper that product, data, person and activity are basic factors in PDPM With detailed analysis of these basic factors and their relations in product developmed process, all product development activities are considered as tasks and the management of product development process is regarded as the management of task execution A task decomposition based product development model is proposed with methods of constructing task relation matrix from layer model and constraint model resulted from task decomposition. An algorithm for constructing directed task graph is given and is used in the management of tasks. Finally, the usage and limitation of the proposed PDPM model is given with further work proposed.

长期以来,我国煤矿安全事故频繁发生;为了预防事故的发生,分析了事故发生的原因,提出了煤矿瓦斯突出的预测手段和开采时在线监测监控的专家系统理论,同时构建了一种基于工业以太网和现场总线的混合网络矿井安全监测监控系统;该系统对煤矿开采前工作面、煤巷瓦斯浓度及可能的瓦斯突出都设计了有效的预测预防措施;在信息处理方面,采用现场总线结合工业以太网的模式,避免了上位机负担过重、监控速度慢、节点扩展难的困难,同时能快速可靠地进行远程监控。     

基于Web的协同设计环境下产品数据管理系统模型研究

首先分析了基于Ｗeb的产品数据管理系统功能需求,结合网络应用特点及面向对象技术,提出一个以模块为核心来组织、管理,发布信息的分布式产品数据管理系统模型－－ＤＰＤＭ（Ｄistributed Product Data Management）,并分析了其体系结构,其目的是为设计者提供一个支持协同设计的开放式开发环境,以提高产品质量,缩短开发时间。
