Zusammenfassung  Die Aufgabe des Data-Mining-Cups 2007 war die Entwicklung einer vollautomatischen Methode zur effektiven Steuerung des Einsatzes von Rabattcoupons. Vorverarbeitung und Parameter wurden durch eine Kreuzvalidierung optimiert. Experimente zeigen, dass ein einzelner Klassifikator in der Regel nicht genügt, die Aufgabenstellung mit ausreichender Güte zu l?sen. Vielmehr müssen mehrere, m?glichst verschiedene, Klassifikatoren dazu herangezogen werden. Die eingereichten L?sungen entstanden durch Kombination von bis zu 2.000 Klassifikatoren und haben im Wettbewerb sehr gut abgeschnitten: Sechs von neun Abgaben lagen unter den ersten zehn Pl?tzen, die übrigen drei L?sungen sind immer noch unter den ersten 20 von insgesamt 230 Pl?tzen.  相似文献

In this article, we present the interactive literary installation Ink, an experimental installation displayed at the Roskilde library, and the Roskilde Festival, which is designed to prompt public reflection on the nature and role of digital literature. By manipulating three books embedded with sensors, and watching text visualized on a 55” screen, members of the public select from a range of predefined sentences, previously created by a Danish author, and stored in a database. Squeezing the books alters each poetic line by degrees. The final poems print onto a library receipt for their producers and upload to a blog for public viewing. We present (1) design challenges to an installation meant to persuade people to engage affectively with the ergodic nature of digital literature and (2) an in-depth analysis of the empirical findings from the installation studies at the Roskilde Festival. In particular, we highlight the broad, rich range of performative interactions facilitated by the interactive setup. This analysis examines the performative writing and reading achieved by the public through interaction with Ink and also with the resultant poems. From this exploration, we discuss general tendencies when designing affectively engaging literary interactions at the edge of art and design.  相似文献

Three different treatment strategies for patients with stage I non-seminomatous testicular cancer are available that will all result in long-term survival in more than 98% of the patients: a "wait and see" strategy with follow-up and chemotherapy in cases of tumour progression, retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy, with or without application of systemic chemotherapy, in cases of retroperitoneal metastases (pathological stage II disease) or primary adjuvant chemotherapy following inguinal orchiectomy. Each treatment strategy is associated with specific side-effects. In several studies histological characteristics of the primary tumour, particularly the presence of vascular invasion and of embryonal carcinoma cells, have been demonstrated to be significant prognostic factors for the risk of occult retroperitoneal metastases in patients with stage I disease. In addition, new biological prognostic factors determined by flow cytometry, cytogenetic analysis or molecular-biological DNA or RNA analysis have been investigated, among which alterations of the p53 tumour-suppressor gene may represent a promising new prognostic factor. Although alterations of p53 gene expression seem to be associated with advanced tumour stage and may predict retroperitoneal metastatic disease, the independent role of these molecular genetic alterations needs to be prospectively studied. Currently a risk-adapted treatment strategy based on the histological criteria of vascular invasion and the presence of embryonal carcinoma can be used to stratify patients into a "high-" and "low-risk" group with respect to tumour progression. While primary-nerve-sparing retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy or adjuvant chemotherapy with two cycles of platinum, etoposide and bleomycin may be appropriate for patients with a high risk (above 40%) for tumour progression, a "wait-and-see" strategy can be used for "low-risk" (less than 15% risk of progression) patients. Molecular investigations of prognostic factors may be able to improve further the stratification of patients into these different risk categories.  相似文献

Knowledge of the size and distribution of the indentation residual stress field is important when interpreting slow crack growth data for indented ceramic materials. A technique based on compressively loading indentation cracks has been used to measure the wedging residual stresses at radial indentation cracks. The method also gives information on the fatigue limit and can be applied on any ceramic material susceptible to slow crack growth. Soda–lime glass specimens were indented and the resulting residual stresses, wedging the radial cracks, were measured as a function of indentation load. Calculations of K 0, the fatigue limit, were made for both virgin indentation cracks and cracks aged until saturation. The magnitude of closing stress needed to prevent slow crack growth was found to depend linearly on the indentation load. For example, for indentation loads of 20 and 60 N, the corresponding closing stresses were 14 and 26 MPa, respectively.  相似文献

The fundamental differences in hydrodynamics of the froth and spray regime account for the ongoing interest in search for the point of phase inversion. This short communication presents a new approach for identification of phase inversion on sieve trays in terms of an image-based measurement technique. Image analysis of entrained droplets reveals a distinct increase in Sauter mean diameter and droplet frequency during phase inversion. Further measurement methods like pressure drop, gravimetric analysis of entrained liquid, froth height assessment and photographic observation of the flow regime serve as a reference value and complement the discussion. A flow map based on the experimental data comprises each regime and shows a good agreement with phase inversion correlations from literature.  相似文献

Blends of polypropylene (PP), polyamide 6 (PA6), and biodegradable polymers (BPs) such as poly(D,L-lactic acid) (PDLLA), poly(lactic acid-co-ε-caprolactone) (poly[LA-co-ε-CL]) and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) were prepared using a twin-screw mini-extruder. The composition of the blend PP/PA6 was fixed at a mass proportion of 70/30, and the compatibilized blends contain 5 wt% of each BP. The morphology observed through scanning electronic microscopy, the dynamic mechanical thermal properties (DMTA), and the biodegradation test after composting and performing optical microscopy (OM) of the blends were investigated. The blend PP/PA6 compatibilized with polypropylene grafted with maleic anhydride (PPMA) was also obtained and used as a reference. The results showed that the PP/PA6/PPMA revealed a more homogeneous morphology and resulted in higher modulus; nevertheless, the sample obtained with the lower molar mass PDLLA as an alternative for PPMA showed a storage modulus behavior close to the reference material. Poly(LA-co-ε-CL) and PCL also showed changes in the morphology of the PA6 dispersed phase. Positive results were observed in the biodegradation test examined by OM for all samples containing BPs. The novelty of this work was to employ BPs as compatibilizing agents of the blends comprising PP/PA6, producing ternary blends with superior mechanical properties due to the better dispersion of the phases.  相似文献

In this work, a comparative study evaluating the influence of different functionalization of carbon nanotubes on the properties of nanocomposites with polymeric matrix was performed. A 50/50 wt% polycarbonate (PC)/poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) (ABS) blend was used as polymeric matrix of the nanocomposites. The comparison was made between nanocomposites reinforced with covalently functionalized multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTf) and MWCNTf/nanoclay hybrid functionalization. The effect on the mechanical and morphological properties of the nanocomposites was evaluated through tensile and Izod impact tests and scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses. The thermal characterization of PC/ABS blends and nanocomposites was performed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Results showed that both methods of functionalization of MWCNTs increased the stiffness and impact resistance of the nanocomposites. TEM micrographs indicated the preferred location of the reinforcements in the SAN phase of ABS. Results from DSC indicated an increase in the thermal resistance of the nanocomposites.  相似文献

Cyclic peptides binding to targets of interest can be generated efficiently with powerful in vitro display techniques, such as phage display or mRNA display. The cyclic peptide libraries screened with these methods are generated by altering in a combinatorial fashion the amino acid sequence of the peptides, the number of amino acids in the macrocycle rings, and the cyclization chemistry. A structural element that cannot easily be varied in the cyclic peptides is the backbone, which is built from amino acids, each of which contributes three atoms to the macrocyclic ring structure. Here, we proposed to improve the affinity of a phage‐selected bicyclic peptide inhibitor of coagulation factor XII (FXII) by screening variants with one or two carbon atoms inserted into different positions of the backbone, and thus tapping into a structural space that was not sampled by phage display. Two mutants showed 4.7‐ and 2.5‐fold improved Ki values. The better one blocked FXII with a Ki of 1.5±0.1 nm and inhibited activation of the intrinsic coagulation pathway (EC2x 1.7 μm) . The strategy of ring size variation by one or several atoms should be generally applicable for the affinity maturation of in‐vitro‐evolved cyclic peptides.  相似文献
