The on-chip test circuit for examining the charge injection in analog MOS switches has been described in detail, and has been fabricated and characterized. Mixed-mode circuit and device simulations have been performed, creating excellent agreements not only with the experimental waveforms but also with the measured switch-induced error voltage. Further investigation of the experimental and simulated results has separated the charge injection into three distinct components: i) the channel charges in strong inversion; ii) the channel charges in weak inversion; and iii) the charges coupled through the gate-to-diffusion overlap capacitance. Important observations concerning the weak inversion charge injection have been drawn from the waveform of the current through the switched capacitor. Traditional visual saliency based video compression methods try to encode the image with higher quality in the region of saliency. However, the saliency feature changes according to persons, viewpoints, and distances. In this paper, we propose to apply a technique of human centered perceptual computation to improve video coding in the region of human centered perception. To detect the region of interest (ROI) of human body, upper body, frontal face, and profile face, we construct Harr and histogram of oriented gradients features based combo of detectors to analyze a video in the first frame (intra-frame). From the second frame (inter-frame) onward, the optical flow image is computed in the ROI area of the first frame. The optical flow in human centered ROI is then used for macroblock (MB) quantization adjustment in H.264/AVC. For each MB, the quantization parameter (QP) is optimized with density value of optical flow image. The QP optimization process is based on a MB mapping model, which can be calculated by an inverse of the inverse tangent function. The Lagrange multiplier in the rate distortion optimization is also adapted so that the MB distortion at human centered region is minimized. We apply our technique to the H.264 video encoder to improve coding visual quality. By evaluating our scheme with the H.264 reference software, our results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the visual quality of ROI by about 1.01 dB while preserving coding efficiency. 相似文献

These years, data centers are developing quickly and cloud Optical and Data Center Network (ODCN) has been shown to be the most viable solution for inter-data-center network implementation with less energy consumption and higher transmit rate. At the same time, elastic optical networks and waveband switching can address the problems caused by dramatic increase in network scale. In cloud hierarchical ODCN with flexible spectrum and waveband switching, survivability is an important and complex issue which is needed to be researched. So, we study the survivable routing, spectrum and waveband assignment strategy in cloud hierarchical ODCN, and in this paper, a novel hierarchical shared-protection (HSP) strategy is proposed. We consider spectrum fragmentation, waveband and shared-protection simultaneously. By quantifying the influence of spectrum assignment and the emergence of fragmentation, slots are assigned to the optimal paths. In order to share protection resource or wavebands, a heuristics algorithm named HSPGA is proposed for optimally picking out the two protection paths. Simulation results show that the proposed HSP strategy decreased the amount of employed ports significantly. In addition, the spectrum efficiency is improved. 相似文献

This paper presents near-field (NF) and far-field (FF) analysis of alternating impedance electromagnetic bandgap (AI-EBG) structure in packages and boards. Three test vehicles have been designed and fabricated for NF and FF measurements. Simulation results using a full-wave solver (SONNET) have been compared with measurement results. This paper investigates the radiation due to return current on different reference planes. We present a methodology for extracting the 2D power spectral density of a statistically isotropic random rough surface from height measurements by utilizing fast Fourier-Bessel transform. We compute the additional propagation loss due to surface roughness by integrating the extracted spectral density via the formula of absorption enhancement factor. Results for a microstrip demonstrate good correlation between measured and estimated loss up to 20 GHz. It is also possible to choose a random rough surface model for the measured surface and use it to predict the roughness effect on power loss. 相似文献

A compact Wilkinson power divider using a short circuit anti-coupled line for harmonic suppression is presented in this letter. The structure consists of a pair of anti-coupled line short circuited by a capacitive load realized by a low impedance line. It can offer three finite attenuation poles in the stopband, while arbitrary phase shift can be obtained in the passband. Design procedures have been clearly presented. A 1.8-GHz power divider is designed, fabricated and measured for demonstration. It agreed well with the simulated results. The circuit area of the proposed divider is only 40% of that of the conventional one. Furthermore, the proposed divider has spurious pass-band suppression as high as 20dB. 相似文献
