The analysis of eight cholesterol oxidation products: 7α–hydroxycholesterol, 7β–hydroxycholesterol, α–epoxycholesterol, β–epoxycholesterol, 20α–hydroxycholesterol, cholestanetriol, 25–hydroxycholesterol, and 7–ketocholesterol in dry–cured shoulder was carried out. The extraction of lipids was performed by using the Bligh and Dyer method (1959). Interferences were removed by solid-phase extraction (SPE) in two steps with silica and aminipropylsilica SPE columns. The separation of the eight cholesterol oxidation products was done by gas chromatography, and the detection was performed by flame ionization detection (FID) and mass spectrometry (MS). The results obtained from the use of both systems of detection were compared. The results showed that gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC–MS) was the most suitable technique to obtain reliable quantitative data, and significant differences (p < 0.05) between FID and MS determining 7α–hydroxycholesterol, 20α–hydroxycholesterol, and 25–hydroxycholesterol were observed. For the determination of cholesterol oxidation products, it was necessary to apply gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry to increase the sensitivity and to avoid interference from other compounds.  相似文献

The scheduling of families of semiconductor wafers within the inspection department of a company producing electronic devices is considered in this paper. Changing the family of wafers to be inspected by an inspection machine requires a sequence-dependent set-up time; furthermore, due to the limited space availability of the inspection area, the available interoperational buffer capacity between the inspection machines is finite. The objective of the scheduling is the maximization of inspection department productivity, measured through the sequence makespan. A permutational flowshop group-scheduling problem (GSP) with sequence-dependent set-up times and limited interoperational buffer capacity has been taken into account. A benchmark of process scenarios considering different numbers of inspection machines wafers codes and families to be inspected has been generated. A Genetic Algorithm is here proposed as an efficient tool to solve the investigated problem. A comparison with a tabu search and a Nawaz, Enscore, and Ham procedure improving the currently available scheduler tool within the inspection department has been performed on the benchmark of problems. Finally, the influence on line productivity due to the finite interoperational buffer capacity is investigated.  相似文献

This paper presents the experimental results of dispersing multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) into epoxy (space grade structural adhesive) nanocomposites using co-rotating twin screw extrusion process. Two sets of specimens were prepared; set 1 with ultrasonication for predispersing MWNT before extrusion and set 2 direct dispersion of MWNT in the extruder. MWNT was loaded up to 8 vol.% in both the sets. The specimens were characterized for room temperature volume and surface resistivities as per ASTM D257 using Keithley Model 6517 and for thermal conductivity in the temperature range ?50 to 150 °C as per ASTM E 1530 using Thermal Conductivity Instrument (TCI) 2022 SX211. The volume resistivity of sets 1 and 2 decreased to an extent of 1011 and 109 respectively. The surface resistivity drop was of the order of 109 for both the sets. These drops corresponded to the maximum MWNT loading of 8 vol.%. Electrical conductivity values of the specimens were fitted into the Power Law Model to evaluate the critical exponent. Both sets 1 and 2 showed increase in thermal conductivity with increase in temperature in the testing range. Thermal conductivity increased with increase in filler loading and the maximum increase was 60% at 150 °C in case of 8 vol.% MWNT nanocomposites for set 1. The corresponding value for the set 2 was 25%. Thermal conductivity values were predicted using Lewis Nielson model. DSC of the specimens showed increase in glass transition temperature with increase in filler loading. The dispersion of the nanofillers was studied using SEM and the surface morphology using AFM.  相似文献

Formalin as a fixative has no practical substitutes, but is toxic and potentially carcinogenic, so caution of its use in hospitals and elsewhere is mandatory. In our hospital, preservation of surgical specimens into formalin to be transferred to pathology labs was replaced by under-vacuum sealing (UVS) tissues into plastic bags and preservation at 4 °C until transfer. Data analysis showed UVS processing to be superior in terms of staff satisfaction and of gross anatomic preservation; no problems in terms of technical feasibility or histopathologic preservation were encountered. Formalin was confined to pathology labs while its use on hospital premises was vastly reduced.  相似文献

A low-cost patterning of electrodes was investigated looking forward to replacing conventional photolithography for the processing of low-operating voltage polymeric thin-film transistors. Hard silicon, etched by sulfur hexafluoride and oxygen gas mixture, and flexible polydimethylsiloxane imprinting molds were studied through atomic force microscopy (AFM) and field emission gun scanning electron microscopy. The higher the concentration of oxygen in reactive ion etching, the lower the etch rate, sidewall angle, and surface roughness. A concentration around 30 % at 100 mTorr, 65 W and 70 sccm was demonstrated as adequate for submicrometric channels, presenting a reduced etch rate of 176 nm/min. Imprinting with positive photoresist AZ1518 was compared to negative SU-8 2002 by optical microscopy and AFM. Conformal results were obtained only with the last resist by hot embossing at 120 °C and 1 kgf/cm2 for 2 min, followed by a 10 min post-baking at 100 °C. The patterning procedure was applied to define gold source and drain electrodes on oxide-covered substrates to produce bottom-gate bottom-contact transistors. Poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) devices were processed on high-κ titanium oxynitride (TiO x N y ) deposited by radiofrequency magnetron sputtering over indium tin oxide-covered glass to achieve low-voltage operation. Hole mobility on micrometric imprinted channels may approach amorphous silicon (~0.01 cm2/V s) and, since these devices operated at less than 5 V, they are not only suitable for electronic applications but also as sensors in aqueous media.  相似文献

InAs-GaSb strain layer superlattice p+-n--n avalanche photodiodes (APDs) are fabricated using a newly introduced electron-beam aided zinc sulfide deposition. Temperature-dependent measurements were performed on 300 times 300 mum2 mesa etched APDs. The effect of passivation was also studied on the diode characteristics and APD performances. Temperature-dependent gain strongly correlates with avalanche mechanism.  相似文献

The design and simulation of a 2nd harmonic based upconverter is introduced. With the proposed upconverter, it is possible to reach a good noise figure with power and area reduction. The design of the circuit was made with the UMC \(0.18\,\upmu \hbox {m}\) Mixed Mode/RF CMOS technology. However, the design methodology can be extended to a different CMOS process. According to the performance exhibited by the purposed mixer, it may be useful in wideband short-range communication technologies, such as certified wireless USB.  相似文献
