Zusammenfassung Mittels verschiedener Untersuchungen wurden Aussagen über das Migrationsverhalten von Acetaldehyd aus Polyethylenterephthalat (PET) getroffen. Die Analyse des Acetaldehyds erfolgte durch Kopfraum-Gaschromatographie mit Flammenionisationsdetektion. Die Bestimmung des Restgehaltes an Acetaldehyd in neuen PET-Flaschen ergab Werte um 6,3 mg/kg, woraus sich eine maximal mögliche Migratmenge von etwa 200 (g/L errechnen läßt. Migrationsstudien bei verschiedenen Temperaturen zeigten die für das Verpakkungssystem typischen Zeitverläufe. Die Diffusion des Acetaldehyds aus dem Kunststoff erreichte bei einer Inkubationstemperatur von 40 °C nach ca. 4 Tagen ein konstantes Niveau, welches ca. 10% des ermittelten Restgehaltes an Acetaldehyd beträgt. Bei einer Temperaturerhöhung um 20 °C kam es zu einer Erhöhung dieses Niveaus auf das 5fache. Die Versuchsergebnisse der Bestimmung des Acetaldehyds in Getränken zeigte, daß in der Praxis nur mit einer geringen Migration zu rechnen ist, die bei den kohlensäurehaltigen Erfrischungsgetränken wegen des intensiven Eigengeschmacks ohne Belang ist. Eine Geschmacksbeeinträchtigung könnte sich höchstens bei Mineral- und Sodawässern ergeben, wenn diese längerfristig, wie sich aus den Migrationsstudien ableiten läßt, Temperaturen um 40 °C ausgesetzt werden.
Study of the migration of acetaldehyde from PET bottles into soft drinks containing carbonic acid
Summary The migration of acetaldehyde from polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) under various conditions was analysed by headspace gas chromatography and flame ionisation detection. The residual amounts of new PET bottles were about 6.3 mg/kg with a migration value of 200 g/1. On studying the migration at different temperatures and times, behaviour curves characteristic of packing materials made from plastics are obtaind. The amount of acetaldehyde diffusing from PET at a temperature of 40° C reached a constant level after 4 days which was about 10% of the residual value of acetaldehyde. On increasing the temperature by 20° C, this level was raised up to 50%. The results of the analysis of acetaldehyde in soft drinks containing carbonic acid show that the migration in fact is not sufficiently high to influence the taste of these soft drinks. A negative effect on the taste may be recognized with mineral waters and soda when they are exposed to higher temperatures (e.g. 40° C or more) over a longer period of time.相似文献

Different routes for immobilization of TiO2 on conducting substrates were compared to find active and stable photocatalysts, which could either be operated in open circuit (photocatalysis) or with applied electric potential (photoelectrocatalysis). The advantage of applying an electric potential was investigated. Polarization curves and photoelectrochemical degradation reactions served to characterize catalysts and to find a way of predicting the optimum synthesis conditions. The difference between front side (EE) and back side (SE) illumination is discussed as a function of layer thickness, as well as the influence of oxidizable substance concentration on photocurrents. Different polyurethanes were synthesized by varying the diol as well as the diisocyanate components and chain extenders. Polyurethanes with OH-groups were obtained by photo- and thermoinitiation of the radical polymerization of hydroxy alkyl acrylates in the presence of the polyurethanes. The polymers were evaluated with respect to their biocompatibility by measuring the cell spreading, the rates of DNA- and protein synthesis and the swelling behaviour. The differences in the surfaces and the bulks between the selected basic polyurethane and the functionalized modification were determined and characterized by XPS, FTIR-ATR and 13C-FT-NMR-spectroscopy. The effect of specific β‐nucleation on morphology and mechanical behavior of isotactic polypropylene
The commercial grade of isotactic polypropylene was modified by a specific β‐nucleating agent in a broad concentration range. The supermolecular structure of the specimens prepared by injection molding was characterized by X‐ray scattering and correlated with mechanical behavior. It was found that at a critical nucleant concentration of 0.03 wt % the content of the β‐modification virtually reaches a saturation level. With further addition of the nucleant, the β‐phase content increases only slightly. The long period passes through a distinct maximum at the same nucleant concentration. This singularity in structure remarkably correlates with a minimum of the yield stress and maxima of strain at break and fracture toughness. Such general behavior is also reflected in the correlation between the β‐phase concentration and fracture toughness profiles along the injection‐molded bars. It is suggested that in the critically nucleated material an optimum thickness of the amorphous interlayer with connecting chains between the β‐crystallites is established, rendering the material the highest possible ductility and toughness. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We address the problem of deblurring images degraded by camera shake blur and saturated (over-exposed) pixels. Saturated pixels violate the common assumption that the image-formation process is linear, and often cause ringing in deblurred outputs. We provide an analysis of ringing in general, and show that in order to prevent ringing, it is insufficient to simply discard saturated pixels. We show that even when saturated pixels are removed, ringing is caused by attempting to estimate the values of latent pixels that are brighter than the sensor’s maximum output. Estimating these latent pixels is likely to cause large errors, and these errors propagate across the rest of the image in the form of ringing. We propose a new deblurring algorithm that locates these error-prone bright pixels in the latent sharp image, and by decoupling them from the remainder of the latent image, greatly reduces ringing. In addition, we propose an approximate forward model for saturated images, which allows us to estimate these error-prone pixels separately without causing artefacts. Results are shown for non-blind deblurring of real photographs containing saturated regions, demonstrating improved deblurred image quality compared to previous work. 相似文献

After a short review of the literature about hibernation, the analysis of the lipids of the seven sleepers (Glis glis L.) is given. The problem, whether the yellow lipochrome results from the autoxidation of polyenoic fatty acids because of the decrease in biological antioxidants, especially vitamin E, could not be completely explained. Fully automatic annotation of tennis game using broadcast video is a task with a great potential but with enormous challenges. In this paper we describe our approach to this task, which integrates computer vision, machine listening, and machine learning. At the low level processing, we improve upon our previously proposed state-of-the-art tennis ball tracking algorithm and employ audio signal processing techniques to detect key events and construct features for classifying the events. At high level analysis, we model event classification as a sequence labelling problem, and investigate four machine learning techniques using simulated event sequences. Finally, we evaluate our proposed approach on three real world tennis games, and discuss the interplay between audio, vision and learning. To the best of our knowledge, our system is the only one that can annotate tennis game at such a detailed level. 相似文献

Recycling of metals from low concentrated solutions. A review is given of processes used for the separation of metals from aqueous solutions, especially low concentration waste waters. Purification processes for waste water used only to reach values set by law are compared with processes that allow recovery of metals. Precipitation with and without additives, adsorption, processes with ion exchange resins, solvent extraction and membrane processes, especially liquid membrane permeation, are described. As a result of these considerations, a qualitative comparison of all the described processes becomes possible. For the separation of zinc from a waste water stream, a special economic comparison is also shown between precipitation processes and the liquid membrane permeation process. Finally, the latest developments in the fields of solvent extraction and liquid membrane permeation are discussed. 相似文献
