A general and versatile method for the production of cellular materials from radiation curable solvent-free colloidal ceramic dispersions containing pore formers has been developed. By this technique cellular ceramic articles with a precisely controlled porosity, cell size and shape are obtained for compositions containing solid pore formers. Monolithic bulk samples are obtained by thermal curing, whereas thin films and multi-layered articles are advantageously produced by UV curing. In this work the influence of three different spherical pore former types, PE, PS and PMMA, on the processing and final properties of the porous materials using alumina as model material is studied. The effect of pore former type and concentration on rheology, curing behaviour, debinding and sintering steps as well as thermal conductivity and mechanical strength of the sintered cellular materials is presented. It is also shown that the choice of pore former type modifies the sintering behaviour and resulting properties.  相似文献

Psoriasis is a multifactorial, chronic inflammatory skin disease, the development of which is affected by both genetic and environmental factors. Cytosolic nucleic acid fragments, recognized as pathogen- and danger-associated molecular patterns, are highly abundant in psoriatic skin. It is known that psoriatic skin exhibits increased levels of IL-23 compared to healthy skin. However, the relationship between free nucleic acid levels and IL-23 expression has not been clarified yet. To examine a molecular mechanism by which nucleic acids potentially modulate IL-23 levels, an in vitro system was developed to investigate the IL-23 mRNA expression of normal human epidermal keratinocytes under psoriasis-like circumstances. This system was established using synthetic nucleic acid analogues (poly(dA:dT) and poly(I:C)). Signaling pathways, receptor involvement and the effect of PRINS, a long non-coding RNA previously identified and characterized by our research group, were analyzed to better understand the regulation of IL-23 in keratinocytes. Our results indicate that free nucleic acids regulate epithelial IL-23 mRNA expression through the TLR3 receptor and specific signaling pathways, thereby, contributing to the development of an inflammatory milieu favorable for the appearance of psoriatic symptoms. A moderate negative correlation was confirmed between the nucleic-acid-induced IL-23 mRNA level and the rate of its decrease upon PRINS overexpression.  相似文献

In this case study a first attempt was made to explore data on the Web for a certain period of time by using bibliometric methods for analysis. The period under investigation was between January 3, 1998 and June 7, 1998. An additional search was carried out on June 20, 1999. The terms used were “informetrics or, informetric”. The results show that substantial changes occurred to the “literature on the Web” on informetrics during this period. Three specific trends were observed: some documents disppeared, new ones were added and some underwent changes.  相似文献

This paper focuses on preliminary in vitro and in vivo testing of new bivalent folate-targeted PEGylated doxorubicin (DOX) made by modular chemo-enzymatic processes (FA2-dPEG-DOX2). A unique feature is the use of monodisperse PEG (dPEG). The modular approach with enzyme catalysis ensures exclusive γ-conjugation of folic acid, full conversion and selectivity, and no metal catalyst residues. Flow cytometry analysis showed that at 10 µM concentration, both free DOX and FA2-dPEG-DOX2 would be taken up by 99.9% of triple-negative breast cancer cells in 2 h. Intratumoral injection to mice seemed to delay tumor growth more than intravenous delivery. The mouse health status, food, water consumption, and behavior remained unchanged during the observation.  相似文献

The implementation of complex, high-performance digital functionality in nanometer CMOS technologies faces significant design and test challenges related to the increased susceptibility to process variations and environmental or operation-dependent disturbances. This paper proposes the application of unified semi-empirical propagation delay variation models to estimate the effect of Process, power supply Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) variations on the timing response of nanometer digital circuits. Experimental results based on electrical simulations of circuits designed in 65, 45, and 32?nm CMOS technologies are presented demonstrating that the models can be used for the analytical derivation of delay variability windows and delay variability statistical distributions associated to process variations. This information can be used during the design and test processes. On one hand, it allows the robustness of a given circuit in the presence of PVT variations to be assessed in the design environment. On the other hand, it allows boundaries between expected functional windows and those associated to abnormal behaviors due to delay faults to be defined. The main advantage of the proposed approach is that the effect of process variations on circuits’ performance can simultaneously be analyzed with those of power supply voltage and temperature variations. Experimental results have also been obtained on several FPGA boards including nanometer-scale Xilinx? and Altera? devices. These results provide a proof-of-concept, on real circuits, of the practical usefulness of the models.  相似文献

Ancient documentation referring to the use of cinnabar in the production of luster decorations has recently been corroborated by archaeological findings. However, luster decorations do not show any trace of the use of cinnabar in their composition because the temperatures involved in luster firing (500°–600°C) result in the complete decomposition and volatilization of cinnabar. An in situ x-ray diffraction experiment was designed to clarify the role of cinnabar in the production of luster decorations. The high-energy, high-flux radiation ID15B beamline at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility was necessary to ensure good time/temperature resolution, penetration, and high-quality data. Results show that cinnabar acts as a reducing agent for copper because it provides the formation of copper (Cu+) and silver (Ag+) sulfur-containing phases, and it inhibits the crystallization of metallic silver in the temperature range of interest in luster production. The addition of elemental sulfur also produces these phases, but at temperatures <500°C, which are not adequate for the production of copper-containing lusters.  相似文献

This work presents the first part of our study on the modification of poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) with styrenic thermoplastic rubbers. Polystyrene-b-polyisobutylene-b-polystyrene (SIBS), polystyrene-b-polybutadiene-b-polystyrene (SBS) and polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene/butylene)-b-polystyrene (SEBS) triblock copolymers were melt blended with PPO and the blends were characterized. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) studies revealed that PPO/SEBS blends displayed the most pronounced phase-separated morphology with largest rubbery domains. SBS showed the most miscibility, and the least detrimental effect on dynamic mechanical properties and tensile strength. The results of this comparative study guided us to develop optimum conditions for the impact modification of PPO by SIBS thermoplastic rubbers.  相似文献

Motivated by the industrial process of blade coating, the two-dimensional flow of a thin film of Newtonian fluid on a horizontal substrate moving parallel to itself with constant speed under a fixed blade of finite length in which the flows upstream and downstream of the blade are coupled via the flow under the blade is analysed. A combination of asymptotic and numerical methods is used to investigate the number and nature of the steady solutions that exist. Specifically, it is found that in the presence of gravity there is always at least one, and (depending on the parameter values) possibly as many as three, steady solutions, and that when multiple solutions occur they are identical under and downstream of the blade, but differ upstream of it. The stability of these solutions is investigated, and their asymptotic behaviour in the limits of large and small flux and weak and strong gravity effects, respectively, determined.  相似文献

In order to study the effect of several compounds on packaging stability, different cosmetic ingredients at two concentration levels were added to a NeoPCL® (Acofarma, Terrassa, Spain) water emulsion, and the preparations packed in sachets and stored at 40°C during 3 months. After that, the packaging was subjected to a T‐peel test and headspace solid‐phase microextraction gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HS‐SPME‐GC‐MS) analysis. The HS‐SPME‐GC‐MS analyses were performed using a 75 μm carboxen polydimethylsiloxane fibre to check for the presence of the studied analytes in the inner layers. The study revealed that the presence of a phenyl and a hydroxyl group in the compound structure lead to an important loss of adhesion between packaging layers joined by an adhesive. The interaction between the cosmetic ingredient and the adhesive was proposed as the main cause of the loss of adhesion. However, extrusion‐coating packaging was more susceptible to delamination, particularly with the volatile compounds. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
