A rare case of hepatoblastoma in a 61-year-old Japanese housewife is described. This liver tumor mainly consisted of two tissue components: embryonal hepatocytes and primitive mesenchymal tissue. Fetal hepatocytes with alpha-fetoprotein production, gland formation, cartilage and osteoid were also found in a small portion. Molecular analysis by slot blot method revealed increased copy numbers of c-met and K-sam proto-oncogenes and cyclin D1 genes. These findings suggest that alterations of these oncogenes might play a role in the development of adult hepatoblastoma.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to determine whether left ventricular dysfunction following coronary artery spasm by 123I-BMIPP myocardial imaging. To reveal the clinical efficacy of 123I-BMIPP SPECT, 20 patients with vasospastic angina were studied using resting, 3-hour delayed image with 123I-BMIPP and exercise, 3-hour delayed image with 201Tl SPECT. 123I-BMIPP uptake was decreased compared to 201Tl (discordant) in 12 patients (60%) and in 49/100 myocardial segments (49%). The extent and severity score in resting image with 123I-BMIPP were significantly larger than that in delayed image with 201Tl (p < 0.01). In 123I-BMIPP SPECT, the severity score in the latest ischemia were significantly larger than that in others. The incidence of a complete agreement of decreased 123I-BMIPP uptake and coronary artery spasm was significantly higher (75%) than that in 201Tl (28%, p < 0.01). Furthermore, compared to 201Tl uptake, decreased 123I-BMIPP uptake much more corresponded to reduced wall motion in 9 of patients with mismatching. The severity of regional wall motion abnormality was significantly correlated with severity score of 123I-BMIPP. Late redistribution in delayed image with 123I-BMIPP was seen in 6 patients. The regional washout rate and the severity of regional wall motion abnormality in 6 patients was significantly lower than that in others (p < 0.05). Thus, metabolic abnormality assessed by 123I-BMIPP is well associated with left ventricular asynergy and spastic region in patients with vasospastic angina. In conclusion, 123I-BMIPP SPECT may sensitively delineate the impaired myocardium following coronary artery spasm, and it is very useful in diagnosing and estimating the severity of vasospastic angina.  相似文献

In the bulk, the nonlinear viscoelastic response of glassy polymers is due to the irreversible work done on the body by the surroundings. The source of the irreversibility is plastic flow of material near distributed shear bands or microcracks in the polymer. Shear bands and microcracks also form new traction free boundaries in the body. The presence of these new boundaries diminish the load bearing capacity of the polymer. These changes in polymer lattice structure are a mechanism that promotes the release of stored strain energy. If the release of stored strain energy is stress controlled, then at sufficiently high levels of stress to cause a permanent structural arrangement of the polymer chains, polycarbonate and LaRC-TPI behave as nonlinear viscoelastic materials. If the current stress is less than the maximum stress the polymer has experienced, then the current energy release rate for the propagation of shear bands, crazes, etc., is less than the critical energy release rate. In this instance, damage production is a constant and the material can be modeled using linear viscoelasticity. It will be shown that the stress-induced nonlinear shift factors are a measure of the rate of damage production in glassy polycarbonate.  相似文献

The self-bias potential (Vdc) induced on an RF-powdered electrode (153 mm Ø) in a plasma is measured using electrical probes which are buried in, de-insulated from, and RF-connected to the electrode. The configuration of the probes allows to study the distribution of Vdc discretely on the electrode. The potential is homogeneous in the absence of external magnetic field. In the presence of a homogeneous magnetic field parallel to the electrode, it is reduced and a monotonous gradient takes place in its distribution due to the plasma shift induced by E × B drift. When the magnetic field is rotated along the axis of the RF-electrode at a frequency less than 50 Hz, the distribution, which is almost identical to the one in a static field, rotates with the magnetic field. On the coordinate system rotating with the magnetic field, the probes are regarded to be rotating. The potential distribution is obtained as a continuous function of the azimuthal angle. Thus the rotation of the field provides information for the experimental interpolation.  相似文献

A chip set for 2D subband filtering of HDTV signals has been designed, fabricated and successfully tested. The two chips perform 10*14 quadrature mirror filtering for analysis filtering at the coder and synthesis filtering at the decoder. In order to achieve a very compact realization, the architectures utilize all a priori known properties of the filter algorithm. A 2D polyphase filter structure reduces the processing clock rate from the 72-MHz sampling rate to a moderate 18 MHz. The memory for vertical filtering is realized by on-chip parallel shift registers with multiphase clocking. A small silicon area for the filter arithmetic is achieved by application of carry save adder trees with fixed filter coefficients represented by canonical signed digits. A complete filterbank for luminance and chrominance signals consists of four identical chips, each with 450 000 transistors on 92 mm2  相似文献

A computer-aided method for investigating disturbances due to the forced paralleling of out of phase high speed salient pole AC generator systems feeding isolated loads is presented. The method is used to predict the system performance including the reverse voltage across the rotating bridge rectifier of the field exciter. This paper presents the fundamentals and the modeling approach used in the development of this method. In addition, the results of using this approach to compute the machine parameters under different load conditions including saturation effects due to magnetic material nonlinearities and space harmonics effects due to machine geometry and winding layouts are presented. The computed parameters are validated by comparison to test data. These parameters form the main data for simulating the forced paralleling of out of phase high speed salient pole AC generator systems feeding isolated loads. Further, the results of using this modeling approach in a case study to predict the system performance due to forced power transfer are summarized and are shown to be in good agreement with test data  相似文献

A new construction for the rotor windings of balanced wound-rotor induction motors employed in the slip energy recovery drives is proposed, in this paper, to reduce the time harmonics which are commonly generated in the machine. The proposed machine has a double-circuit in the rotor. One circuit is star connected while the other is delta connected. Each of these two circuits is connected to a diode-bridge rectifier to achieve a twelve-pulse operation characteristics. The main objective of this paper is to develop a new model which is capable of simulating the proposed machine, neglecting nonlinearities due to magnetic saturation, and its associated converters. Ferrite is a potential sorbent for flue gases such as CO2, H2S and SO2. This paper discusses the adsorption and decomposition of CO2 into carbon by hydrogen-activated waste ferrites prepared from Berkeley Pit acid mine water (Butte, MT). The decomposition effectiveness of these waste ferrites was studied at 300 °C and compared with the synthetic magnetite obtained from ferrous sulfate solution in our laboratory. The decomposition was measured by two methods: indirectly by measuring the adsorption rate of CO2 and directly by analysing the carbon deposited on the samples. The results indicated that the mixed waste ferrite had good affinity for the adsorption and decomposition. The CO2 decomposition data of both sorbents fitted the first-order reaction kinetics. Even though the surface area of the magnetite was higher than that of waste ferrite, the CO2 decomposition rate of the waste ferrite was estimated to be 2.5 times higher than that of magnetite under identical conditions. The carbon analysis deposited on the sample indicated that the CO2 was 100% decomposed into carbon and other carbon/hydrogen compounds by the waste ferrite, whereas the conversion was 43% by the magnetite. In terms of specific adsorption of carbon, ferrite was three to five times more efficient than magnetite.  相似文献
