在KBS-3核废料储存库的早期及非恒温演变期,热梯度变化能改变膨润土缓冲层的矿物特性,且由于矿物质沉淀作用,黏土颗粒将相互胶结起来.据此,使用已发表的有关结晶岩石中缓冲黏土的水-热转换的试验结果,研究并评估一种缓冲胶结的反应-传递模型.模型的预测值能够定性地与高温下缓冲区的观测试验值相吻合,表明次生矿物的沉淀(无水石膏(无定形二氧化硅(opal-CT)(方解石)和由Na基蒙脱石变为Ca 基蒙脱石(皂石的相交替过程.与现场观测中的一种情况不同的是,模型没有预测出这一区域中石英、高岭土和长石的大量溶解,这种不一致现象可能是由于缺乏热动力基本数据造成的,使得在高岭土-蒙脱石混合地层中高电荷蒙脱石变为低电荷蒙脱石过程中的水-热转换在模型中不能加以表示.然而,在整体上模型预测与试验观测还是较为符合的.这表明,用已知的时间-温度及再饱和过程的试验数据,该模型能够用于对KBS-3近场潜在的缓冲胶结进行长至几百年的敏感性分析. 相似文献

In temperate regions, seasonal variability of environmental factors affects the bacterial community in source water and finished drinking water. Therefore, the bacterial core community and its seasonal variability in cold and the respective hot drinking water was investigated. The bacterial core community was studied by 16S rRNA-based SSCP fingerprint analyses and band sequencing of DNA and RNA extracts of cold and hot water (60 °C). The bacterial communities of cold and hot drinking water showed a highly different structure and phylogenetic composition both for RNA and DNA extracts. For cold drinking water substantial seasonal dynamics of the bacterial community was observed related to environmental factors such as temperature and precipitation affecting source and drinking water. Phylogenetic analyses of the cold water community indicated that the majority of phylotypes were very closely affiliated with those detected in former studies of the same drinking water supply system (DWSS) in the preceding 6 years, indicating a high stability over time. The hot water community was very stable over time and seasons and highly distinct from the cold water with respect to structure and composition. The hot water community displayed a lower diversity and its phylotypes were mostly affiliated with bacteria of high temperature habitats with high growth rates indicated by their high RNA content. The conversion of the cold to the hot water bacterial community is considered as occurring within a few hours by the following two processes, i) by decay of most of the cold water bacteria due to heating, and ii) rapid growth of the high temperature adapted bacteria present in the hot water (co-heated with the cold water in the same device) using the nutrients released from the decaying cold water bacteria. The high temperature adapted bacteria originated partially from low abundant but beforehand detected members of the cold water; additionally, the rare members (“seed bank “) of the cold water are considered as a source. 相似文献

Benzene, alkylated benzenes, chlorinated hydrocarbons and monoterpenes were measured in snow/ice collected directly in-cloud at Jungfraujoch (3580 m asl) in February and March 2005 and 2006 during the CLoud and Aerosol Characterization Experiments CLACE 4 and CLACE 5. Melted snow/ice samples were analyzed by headspace-solid-phase-dynamic-extraction (HS-SPDE) followed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Generally, there was a tendency in the results that higher concentrations were found after longer precipitation-free periods, suggesting that higher concentrations in snow/ice may be caused by the washout effect of precipitation. High concentration variations in snow/ice samples taken at the same time at the same place highlight the heterogeneous nature of snow/ice. Air concentrations calculated by scavenging ratios and measured snow/ice values markedly exceed the typically reported concentrations of benzene and alkylbenzenes in air (Li Y, Campana M, Reimann S, Schaub KS, Staehlin J, Peter T. Elevated nitrate levels in the groundwater of the Gaza Strip: distribution and sources 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Seven years of monitoring groundwater in the Gaza Strip has shown that nitrate was and still is a major groundwater pollutant. The objectives of this research were to study the distribution of NO(3)(-) in the groundwater of the Gaza Strip and to identify the sources of NO(3)(-) in the Gaza aquifer system by assessing nitrogen and oxygen isotopes. The most recent samples collected in 2007 showed 90% of the wells having NO(3)(-) concentrations that are several times higher than the WHO standards of 50 mg/L. Potential NO(3)(-) source materials in Gaza are animal manure N, synthetic NH(4) based fertilizers, and wastewater/sludge. The average concentrations of N in the sludge, manure and soil of Gaza were 2.9%, 1% and 0.08%, respectively. The range in delta(15)N of solid manure samples was +7.5 to +11.9 per thousand. The range in delta(15)N of sludge samples was +4.6 to +7.4 per thousand, while four brands of synthetic fertilizers commonly used in Gaza had delta(15)N ranging from +0.2 to +1.0 per thousand. Sludge amended soil had delta(15)N ranging from +2.0 to +7.3 per thousand. For both delta(18)O and delta(15)N, the ranges of groundwater NO(3)(-) were -0.1 to +9.3 per thousand and +3.2 to 12.8 per thousand, respectively. No significant bacterial denitrification is taking place in the Gaza Strip aquifer. Nitrate was predominantly derived from manure and, provided delta(15)N of sludge represents the maximum delta(15)N of human waste, to a lesser extent from septic effluents/sludge. Suspension polymerization is one of the most important processes for the production of high polymers. Great demands are made on the technical applicability of the polymers. In order to meet these requirements the distribution of the particle sizes and the morphology of the particles are of great importance. The size and the structure of the particles depend in a complicated interaction on factors such as the chemical structure of the suspending agent, the concentration of the suspending agent and on the agitation conditions. The interdependence of these factors have been and still are explained differently. With a potential to facilitate the integration of renewable energy into the electricity system, electric drive vehicles may offer a considerable flexibility by allowing for charging and discharging when desired. This paper takes the perspective of an aggregator that manages the electricity market participation of a vehicle fleet and presents a framework for optimizing charging and discharging of the electric drive vehicles, given the driving patterns of the fleet and the variations in market prices of electricity. When the aggregator is a price-taker the optimization can be stated in terms of linear programming whereas a quadratic programming formulation is required when he/she has market power. A Danish case study illustrates the construction of representative driving patterns through clustering of survey data from Western Denmark and the prediction of electricity price variations through regression on prices from the Nordic market. The results show that electric vehicles provide flexibility almost exclusively through charging. Moreover, the vehicles provide flexibility within the day but only limited flexibility from day to day when driving patterns are fixed. 相似文献

Small grid-connected photovoltaic systems up to 5 kWp are often not monitored because advanced surveillance systems are not economical. Hence, some system failures which lead to partial energy losses stay unnoticed for a long time. Even a failure that results in a larger energy deficit can be difficult to detect by PV laymen due to the fluctuating energy yields.Within the EU project PVSAT-2, a fully automated performance check has been developed to assure maximum energy yields and to optimize system maintenance for small grid-connected PV systems. The aim is the early detection of system malfunctions and changing operating conditions to prevent energy and subsequent financial losses for the operator. The developed procedure is based on satellite-derived solar irradiance information that replaces on-site measurements. In conjunction with a simulation model the expected energy yield of a PV system is calculated. In case of the occurrence of a defined difference between the simulated and actual energy yield, an automated failure detection routine searches for the most probable failure sources and notifies the operator.This paper describes the individual components of the developed procedure—the satellite-derived irradiance, the used PV simulation model, and the principles of the automated failure detection routine. Average market prices for intermittent generation technologies are lower than for conventional generation. This has a technical reason but can be exaggerated in the presence of market power. When there is much wind smaller amounts of conventional generation technologies are required, and prices are lower, while at times of little wind prices are higher. This effect reflects the value of different generation technologies to the system. But under conditions of market power, conventional generators with market power can further depress the prices if they have to buy back energy at times of large wind output and can increase prices if they have to sell additional power at times of little wind output. This greatly exaggerates the effect. Forward contracting does not reduce the effect. An important consequence is that allowing market power profit margins as a support mechanism for generation capacity investment is not a technologically neutral policy. 相似文献

Prescribed burning is a significant source of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in the southeastern United States. However, limited data exist on the emission characteristics from this source. Various organic and inorganic compounds both in the gas and particle phase were measured in the emissions of prescribed burnings conducted at two pine-dominated forest areas in Georgia. The measurements of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and PM2.5 allowed the determination of emission factors for the flaming and smoldering stages of prescribed burnings. The VOC emission factors from smoldering were distinctly higher than those from flaming except for ethene, ethyne, and organic nitrate compounds. VOC emission factors show that emissions of certain aromatic compounds and terpenes such as alpha and beta-pinenes, which are important precursors for secondary organic aerosol (SOA), are much higher from active prescribed burnings than from fireplace wood and laboratory open burning studies. Levoglucosan is the major particulate organic compound (POC) emitted for all these studies, though its emission relative to total organic carbon (mg/g OC) differs significantly. Furthermore, cholesterol, an important fingerprint for meat cooking, was observed only in our in situ study indicating a significant release from the soil and soil organisms during open burning. Source apportionment of ambient primary fine particulate OC measured at two urban receptor locations 20-25 km downwind yields 74 +/- 11% during and immediately after the burns using our new in situ profile. In comparison with the previous source profile from laboratory simulations, however, this OC contribution is on average 27 +/- 5% lower. 相似文献
