The “crack tip COD” at the fracture initiation mainly consists of the stretched zone, the new surface which appeared due to the slip deformation at the notch tip. Therefore, the COD or the stretched zone width at the fracture initiation is a very important parameter which reflects the notch tip behavior until fracture initiation.In the case of fibrous crack initiation, the stretched zone width (Si) and COD (δi), where δi ≈ √2 Si, take almost constant values regardless of temperature, specimen geometry, preloading (if the total δi is taken), slit angle (in the case of mixed mode condition) and so on, while, in the case of cleavage fracture initiation, COD and the stretched zone width take various values between the value at the fibrous crack initiation (δi or Si) and almost zero, depending on temperature and plastic constraint.  相似文献

Iron was oxidized in the Fe-Ba(OH)2-NaOH-H2O-O2 system at elevated temperatures. Fe3O4 and -FeOOH were formed in the absence of oxygen. On the other hand, hexagonal plate-like particles of BaFe12O19, 1.0–4.3 m diameter, were formed as single phase by the oxidation of iron in Ba(OH)2 and NaOH mixed solutions at 250–300°C and above 1.0 MPa oxygen. The diameter of the particle significantly depended on the NaOH concentration. Additives such as CO 3 2– , SO 4 2– and CH3COO promoted the grain growth of BaFe12O19.  相似文献

Internal oxidation measurements of Fe-0.070, 0.219, 0.483, and 0.920 wt % Si alloys were made in the γ-phase region in order to discuss kinetics of internal oxidation, to evaluate the diffusion coefficient of oxygen in the internal oxidation layer, and to determine the diffusion coefficient of oxygen in γ-iron. Internal oxidation of these alloys was conducted at temperatures between 1223 and 1323 K using a powder mixture of iron and Fe2O3. The internal oxidation front in Fe-Si alloys with between 0.070 and 0.483 wt % Si advances in parallel to the specimen surface. The internal oxidation in these alloys obeys a parabolic rate law, which indicates that the internal oxidation is controlled by an oxygen diffusion process in the alloy. The diffusion coefficient of oxygen, D O IO , in the internal oxidation layer where SiO2 particles disperse was determined by using the thermodynamic data for the solution of oxygen in γ-iron. D O IO increases with the increase of the volume fraction of the oxide, f IO, in the oxidation layer at a given temperature. The diffusion coefficient of oxygen, D O, in γ-iron was evaluated by extrapolating D O IO to f IO=0. Three mutants of Escherichia coli ribonuclease HI, in whichan invariant acidic residue Asp134 was replaced, were crystallized,and their three-dimensional structures were determined by X-raycrystallography. The D134A mutant is completely inactive, whereasthe other two mutants, D134H and D134N, retain 59 and 90% activitiesrelative to the wild-type, respectively. The overall structuresof these three mutant proteins are identical with that of thewild-type enzyme, except for local conformational changes ofthe flexible loops. The ribonuclease H family has a common activesite, which is composed of four invariant acidic residues (Asp10,G1u48, Asp70 and Asp134 in E.coli ribonuclease HI), and theirrelative positions in the mutants, even including the side-chainatoms, are almost the same as those in the wild-type. The positionsof the -polar atoms at residue 134 in the wild-type, as wellas D134H and D134N, coincide well with each other. They arelocated near the imidazole side chain of His124, which is assumedto participate in the catalytic reaction, in addition to thefour invariant acidic residues. Combined with the pH profilesof the enzymatic activities of the two other mutants, H124Aand H124A/D134N, the crystallographic results allow us to proposea new catalytic mechanism of ribonuclease H, which includesthe roles for Asp134 and His124.  相似文献

New experimental data on the thermal conductivity and the density of liquid toluene are presented in the temperature range 0–100°C at pressures up to 250 MPa. The measurements of thermal conductivity were performed with a transient hot-wire apparatus on an absolute basis with an inaccuracy less than 1.0%. The density was measured with a high-pressure burette method with an uncertainty within 0.1%. The experimental results for both properties are represented satisfactorily by the Tait-type equations, as well as empirical polynomials, covering the entire ranges of temperature and pressure. Furthermore, it is found that simple relations exist between the temperature dependence of thermal conductivity and the thermal expansion coefficient, and also between the pressure dependence of thermal conductivity and the isothermal compressibility, as are suggested theoretically.  相似文献

Abstract— An integral imaging time‐division‐multiplexing 18‐view 3‐D display based on the one‐dimensional integral‐imaging (1‐D‐II) technique using a 9‐in. OCB‐LCD, lenticular sheet, and active shutter has been developed. By simulating a lens shape and a shutter structure and analyzing the light‐beam profile of the increasing‐parallax‐number region to find the best conditions, depth range, and viewing angle were an enhanced and a brighter and flicker‐less 3‐D image with smooth motion parallax was obtained.  相似文献

The first neutral beam (NB) injection system of the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) tokamak was partially completed in 2010 with only 1∕3 of its full design capability, and NB heating experiments were carried out during the 2010 KSTAR operation campaign. The ion source is composed of a JAEA bucket plasma generator and a KAERI large multi-aperture accelerator assembly, which is designed to deliver a 1.5 MW, NB power of deuterium at 95 keV. Before the beam injection experiments, discharge, and beam extraction characteristics of the ion source were investigated. The ion source has good beam optics in a broad range of beam perveance. The optimum perveance is 1.1-1.3 μP, and the minimum beam divergence angle measured by the Doppler shift spectroscopy is 0.8°. The ion species ratio is D(+):D(2)(+):D(3)(+) = 75:20:5 at beam current density of 85 mA/cm(2). The arc efficiency is more than 1.0 A∕kW. In the 2010 KSTAR campaign, a deuterium NB power of 0.7-1.5 MW was successfully injected into the KSTAR plasma with a beam energy of 70-90 keV. L-H transitions were observed within a wide range of beam powers relative to a threshold value. The edge pedestal formation in the T(i) and T(e) profiles was verified through CES and electron cyclotron emission diagnostics. In every deuterium NB injection, a burst of D-D neutrons was recorded, and increases in the ion temperature and plasma stored energy were found.  相似文献

In a multi-aperture multi-grid accelerator of the ITER neutral beam injector, the beamlets are deflected due to space charge repulsion between beamlets and beam groups, and also due to magnetic field. Moreover, the beamlet deflection is influenced by electric field distortion generated by grid support structure. Such complicated beamlet deflections and the compensations have been examined utilizing a three-dimensional beam analysis. The space charge repulsion and the influence by the grid support structure were studied in a 1∕4 model of the accelerator including 320 beamlets. Beamlet deflection due to the magnetic field was studied by a single beamlet model. As the results, compensation methods of the beamlet deflection were designed, so as to utilize a metal bar (so-called field shaping plate) of 1 mm thick beneath the electron suppression grid (ESG), and an aperture offset of 1 mm in the ESG.  相似文献

Describes a method for vehicle recognition, in particular for recognizing make and model. Our system takes into account the fact that vehicles of the same make and model number come in different colors; it employs infrared (IR) images, thereby eliminating color differences. The use of IR images also enables us to use the same algorithm both day and night. This ability is particularly important because the algorithm must be able to locate many feature points, especially at night. Our algorithm is based on a configuration of local features. For the algorithm, our system first makes a compressed database of local features of a target vehicle from training images given in advance; the system then matches a set of local features in the input image with those in the training images for recognition. This method has the following three advantages: (1) it can detect even if part of the target vehicle is occluded; (2) it can detect even if the target vehicle is translated due to running out of the lanes; and (3) it does not require us to segment a vehicle part from input images. We have two implementations of the algorithm. One is referred to as the eigenwindow method, while the other is called the vector-quantization method. The former method is good at recognition, but is not very fast. The latter method is not very good at recognition but it is suitable for an IMAP parallel image-processing board; hence, it can be fast.
