A new immunochromatography assay (Dainascreen Ausab Dainabot) has been recently introduced for the detection of the presence of antibody to HBsAg. To evaluate the feasibility of using the Dainascreen Ausab, we carried out comparison tests with this method and PHA. In the test of 439 sera from HB vaccinees, inhabitants in Iki Island, Nagasaki Pref., patients with autoimmune diseases and with acute hepatitis B, 154 (31.2%) were positive by Dainascreen Ausab, 145 (29.4%) were positive by PHA and 145 (29.4%) were positive by both Dainascreen Ausab and PHA. Nine (1.8%) were positive by only Dainascreen and there were none positive by only PHA. A good correlation was observed between the titer of the antibody by this method and IMx. The anti-HBs assay by this method was able to be completed within 15 minutes and the procedure was very simple. The results indicate that the sensitivity of Dainascreen is superior to PHA and that it is easy to use.  相似文献

The atrial natriuretic factor (ANF) induces diuresis, natriuresis, and vasodilation. Although it was originally found to be secreted from the atria, ANF synthesis has been demonstrated in other organs. The adult lung is not only the first target organ for ANF, but it also expresses the ANF gene and synthesizes, releases, and clears ANF from the circulation. We have shown the presence of ANF in human fetal lungs and also demonstrated that these lungs can release bioactive ANF. However, the role of the ANF system in the newborn lung is unknown. Therefore we studied the ANF system in pulmonary vessels (arteries and veins dissected from the hilum down to a 100-microm diameter), in isolated perfused lungs, and in the plasma from pulmonary artery and vein of 1- and 7-day-old piglets. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) revealed the presence of both the mature peptide and the ANF prohormone in pulmonary vein microsomes, but in pulmonary arteries, only the mature form was identified. Furthermore, in the veins, the ANF content tended to be higher in 7- than in 1-day-olds. ANF caused a dose-dependent decrease in perfusion pressure (p < 0.05). In veins and arteries, most of the ANF receptors were of the type A guanylate cyclase as opposed to clearance receptors. Interestingly, the ANF receptors were fewer in veins, where synthesis takes place, than in arteries (p < 0.05). Significant circulating ANF plasma levels were measured by radioimmunoassay in both pulmonary artery and vein. However, there was no site difference in ANF plasma levels, suggesting that ANF is cleared and synthesized in the pulmonary vessels. In conclusion, the entire ANF system is present in the newborn piglet pulmonary vessels. The paucity of clearance receptors compared with functional receptors potentiates the role of ANF in the regulation of postnatal pulmonary vascular resistance.  相似文献

Spatially non-uniform electron energy distribution function (EEDF) in an arc driven negative ion source (JAEA 10A negative ion source: 10 A NIS) is calculated numerically by a three-dimensional Monte Carlo kinetic model for electrons to understand spatial distribution of plasma production (such as atomic and ionic hydrogen (H(0)∕H(+)) production) in source chamber. The local EEDFs were directly calculated from electron orbits including electromagnetic effects and elastic∕inelastic collision forces. From the EEDF, spatial distributions of H(0)∕H(+) production rate were obtained. The results suggest that spatial non-uniformity of H(0)∕H(+) productions is enhanced by high energy component of EEDF.  相似文献

The oxidation behaviours of iron powders, ca. 100 m in diameter, in 5–50 m NaOH, 5–40 m KOH and 5–40 m LiOH solutions at 373–573 K were investigated in the absence and presence of oxygen, where m is molality. The oxidation of iron proceeded noticeably above 423 K to form Fe3O4, -Fe2O3, -NaFeO2, -Fe2O3, Li x Fe3–xO4 and -LiFeO2 depending on the reaction conditions. The rate of oxidation in LiOH solutions was much slowerthan those in NaOH and KOH solutions.  相似文献

Particle spatial dispersion is a crucial characteristic of polymer composite materials and this property is recognized as especially important in nanocomposite materials due to the general tendency of nanoparticles to aggregate under processing conditions. We introduce dispersion metrics along with a specified dispersion scale over which material homogeneity is measured and consider how the dispersion metrics correlate quantitatively with the variation of basic nanocomposite properties. We then address the general problem of quantifying nanoparticle spatial dispersion in model nanocomposites of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) dispersed in poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) at a fixed SWNT concentration of 0.5% using a ‘coagulation’ fabrication method. Two methods are utilized to measure dispersion, UV-vis spectroscopy and optical confocal microscopy. Quantitative spatial dispersion levels were obtained through image analysis to obtain a ‘relative dispersion index’ (RDI) representing the uniformity of the dispersion of SWNTs in the samples and through absorbance. We find that the storage modulus, electrical conductivity, and flammability property of the nanocomposites correlate well with the RDI. For the nanocomposites containing the same amount of SWNTs, the relationships between the quantified dispersion levels and physical properties show about four orders of magnitude variation in storage modulus, almost eight orders of magnitude variation in electric conductivity, and about 70% reduction in peak mass loss rate at the highest dispersion level used in this study. The observation of such a profound effect of SWNT dispersion indicates the need for objective dispersion metrics for correlating and understanding how the properties of nanocomposites are determined by the concentration, shape and size of the nanotubes.  相似文献

This paper presents a path-shadowing model for indoor populated environments that has been developed based on computer simulations. The propagation paths between the transmitting and receiving points in an empty rectangular space are determined using the ray-tracing method, in which moving quasi-human bodies that are modeled as cylinders with a finite height are generated in the space, and intersections of the paths with the bodies are counted. From the results, the shadowing probabilities, durations, and intervals are evaluated for each propagation path, and this shadowing process is characterized as a Markov process. This paper proposes a method that individually generates the shadowing effects on each propagation path. The measurement results of the path-shadowing characteristics using a 5.2-GHz high-resolution channel sounder are presented, and the validity of this model is confirmed. Similar measurement results using a photoelectric sensor are also presented to reinforce the channel-sounding measurement results.   相似文献

Electrocatalytic addition reaction of bromide compounds and activated olefins was studied using a nickel(II) tetraazamacrocyclic complex-modified graphite felt (GF) electrode. The modified GF electrode was observed a catalytic current in the presence of bromide compound by cyclic voltammetry. A preparative electrocatalytic addition reaction of bromide compounds and activated olefins was successfully achieved on the modified GF electrode with an adequate yield (24-82%) and turnover number of the nickel catalyst (983-1533).  相似文献

In the transport section, it is necessary to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions and oil dependence. Bio fuels and fuel cell vehicle (FCV), electric vehicle (EV) and plug‐in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) are expected to reduce CO2 emissions and oil dependence. We focus on PHEV. PHEV can reduce total energy consumption because of its high efficiency and can run with both oil and electricity. Introduction of PHEV reduces oil consumption, but it also increases electricity demands. Therefore, we must evaluate PHEV's CO2 reduction potential, not only in the transport section but also in the power grid section. To take into account the distribution of the daily travel distance is also very important. All energy charged in the PHEV's battery cannot always be used. That influences the evaluation. We formulate the total model that combines passenger car model and power utility grid model, and we also consider the distribution of the daily travel distance. With this model, we show the battery cost per kWh at which PHEV begins to be introduced and oil dependence in the passenger car section is to be reduced to 80%. This study presents theoretical investigation on the performance of air cycle refrigerator driving air conditioning system integrated desiccant system. Total system performance is evaluated and the system feasibility is examined. The system has such characteristics that (1) safe material of air and water are used as a refrigerant, (2) waste heat from air cycle refrigerator performs the regeneration of desiccant material for energy saving. It has been clarifying that (1) controlling the evaporative cooling process in air washer, the system can operate for a wide range of cooling loads, (2) the total coefficient of performance on air conditioning system is better than the conventional vapor compression system with reheating coil, and (3) the system performance highly depends on the ratio of the amount of outdoor intake air to the supply air.  相似文献

Can synthetic speech be utilized in foreign language learning as natural speech? In this paper, we evaluated synthetic speech from the viewpoint of learners in order to find out an answer. The results pointed out that learners do not recognize remarkable differences between synthetic voices and natural voices for the words with short vowels and long vowels when they try to understand the meanings of the sounds. The data explicates that synthetic voice utterances of sentences are easier to understand and more acceptable by learners compared to synthetic voice utterances of words. In addition, the ratings on both synthetic voices and natural voices strongly depend upon the learners’ listening comprehension abilities. We conclude that some synthetic speech with specific pronunciations of vowels may be suitable for listening materials and suggest that evaluating TTS systems by comparing synthetic speech with natural speech and building a lexical database of synthetic speech that closely approximates natural speech will be helpful for teachers to readily use many existing CALL tools.  相似文献
