Structural elements combining Ultra-High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concretes (UHPFRC) and concrete offer a high potential in view of rehabilitation and modification of existing structures. The investigation of the time-dependent behavior of composite “UHPFRC-concrete” elements is a fundamental step in the determination of durability and serviceability. For this, an experimental program was conducted on large composite “UHPFRC-concrete” beams and a numerical model was validated with the test results. The experimental results and a parametric study performed with the numerical model showed that UHPFRC and normal strength reinforced concrete are compatible in the long-term and that the critical period of composite “UHPFRC-concrete” elements are the first 90 days after the casting of the UHPFRC layer. Thus, the high potential of such composite elements can be exploited also in the long term.  相似文献

The development of a new high-resolution time-of-flight aerosol mass spectrometer (HR-ToF-AMS) is reported. The high-resolution capabilities of this instrument allow the direct separation of most ions from inorganic and organic species at the same nominal m/z, the quantification of several types of organic fragments (CxHy, CxHyOz, CxHyNp, CxHyOzNp), and the direct identification of organic nitrogen and organosulfur content. This real-time instrument is field-deployable, and its high time resolution (0.5 Hz has been demonstrated) makes it well-suited for studies in which time resolution is critical, such as aircraft studies. The instrument has two ion optical modes: a single-reflection configuration offers higher sensitivity and lower resolving power (up to approximately 2100 at m/z 200), and a two-reflectron configuration yields higher resolving power (up to approximately 4300 at m/z 200) with lower sensitivity. The instrument also allows the determination of the size distributions of all ions. One-minute detection limits for submicrometer aerosol are <0.04 microg m(-3) for all species in the high-sensitivity mode and <0.4 microg m(-3) in the high-resolution mode. Examples of ambient aerosol data are presented from the SOAR-1 study in Riverside, CA, in which the spectra of ambient organic species are dominated by CxHy and CxHyOz fragments, and different organic and inorganic fragments at the same nominal m/z show different size distributions. Data are also presented from the MIRAGE C-130 aircraft study near Mexico City, showing high correlation with independent measurements of surrogate aerosol mass concentration.  相似文献

The feasibility of performing SI-traceable carbon isotope amount ratio measurements following conversion of carbon into CF4 was studied. A procedure for the direct fluorination of carbon with elemental fluorine was developed, and the conversion step was checked for losses, blank contributions, and the absence of systematic isotope effects. Gas chromatography was used to identify and quantify the gaseous fluorination products and to isolate CF4 from byproducts. After fluorination of graphite carbon, CF4 and perfluoroalkanes with up to six carbon atoms were observed as reaction products. Within an uncertainty of 10%, the graphite carbon was fully recovered in the gaseous carbon fluorides, with the main product being CF4 (80-90%) and C2F6 as the major byproduct. The fluorination and GC procedures were found to introduce an alteration not bigger than 0.03 +/- 0.04/1000 on the isotopic composition of CF4. Carbon blank contributions introduced during the fluorination procedure were below 0.5% relative to a typical sample of 4 mg of carbon. For two of the materials investigated, the carbon isotope ratios measured on a differential mass spectrometer were reproducible within a standard deviation of approximately 0.1/1000 for several individual fluorinations. For these materials, the developed fluorination procedure is a straightforward process, which can be used as a foundation to establish SI-traceable measurements of carbon isotope amount ratios. However, for the third graphite material the formation of byproducts (C2F6-C6F14) was found to induce significant isotopic fractionation.  相似文献

An improved method of piroxicam benzoate synthesis was described, and an isocratic reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method for its determination was developed and fully validated. The method was found to be specific, precise (relative standard deviation 0.3%), accurate (mean recovery 99.9%), and robust. Limit of detection was estimated at 0.055 µg mL-1 and limit of quantification at 0.185 µg mL-1. The kinetics of piroxicam benzoate hydrolysis in aqueous buffer solutions (pH 1.1 and 10), simulated gastric and intestinal fluids was studied. The hydrolysis followed first-order kinetics. The following rate constants were obtained at pH 10: k = 1.8 × 10-3 hr-1 at 37°C and k = 3.4 × 10-2 hr-1 at 60°C. In acidic media, no significant hydrolysis was observed after 24 hr. During the 24-hr period in simulated intestinal fluid, only 10.9% of the starting ester was hydrolyzed.  相似文献

The primary purpose of this paper is to show an efficient way of handling models and model data in a decision support system, in which it is usual to consider several variants of a model. The model data primarily consist of model-defining data, but the same approach may be used for the generated results as well. By efficient handling is meant the handling by the computer as well as by the user. For the user it is particularly important that new models can be conveniently defined as variants of existing models. The approach is introduced within the context of a decision support system for manpower planning based on Markov models. In the mean time the same approach has been used for the implementation of other decision support systems and has been found to be more generally applicable.  相似文献

We provide an overview of the approach developed by the Software Improvement Group for code analysis and quality consulting focused on software maintainability. The approach uses a standardized measurement model based on the ISO/IEC 9126 definition of maintainability and source code metrics. Procedural standardization in evaluation projects further enhances the comparability of results. Individual assessments are stored in a repository that allows any system at hand to be compared to the industry-wide state of the art in code quality and maintainability. When a minimum level of software maintainability is reached, the certification body of TüV Informationstechnik GmbH issues a Trusted Product Maintainability certificate for the software product.  相似文献

Most industrial enzymes are hydrolases, such as glycosidases and esterases. However, oxidoreductases have an unexploited potential for substituting harsh (and scarcely selective) chemical processes. A group of basidiomycetes are the only organisms degrading the aromatic lignin polymer, enabling the subsequent use of plant polysaccharides. Therefore, these fungi and their ligninolytic peroxidases are the biocatalysts of choice for industrial delignification and oxidative biotransformations of aromatic and other organic compounds. The latter also include oxygenation reactions, which are catalyzed with high regio/stereo selectivity by fungal peroxygenases. In search for novel and more robust peroxidases/peroxygenases, basidiomycetes from unexplored habitats were screened, and hundreds of genes identified in basidiomycete genomes (in collaboration with the DOE JGI). The most interesting genes were heterologously expressed, and the corresponding enzymes structurally‐functionally characterized. The information obtained enabled us to improve the enzyme operational and catalytic properties by directed mutagenesis. However, the structural‐functional relationships explaining some desirable properties are not established yet and, therefore, their introduction was addressed by ‘non‐rational’ directed evolution. Then, over 100 oxidative biotransformations were analyzed. Among them, it is noteworthy to mention the regio/stereo selective hydroxylation of long/short‐chain alkanes (a chemically challenging reaction), epoxidation of alkenes, and production of hydroxy‐fatty acids. Concerning aromatic oxygenations, the regioselective hydroxylation of flavonoids, and stereoselective hydroxylation/epoxidation of alkyl/alkenyl‐benzenes were among the most remarkable reactions, together with enzymatic hydroxylation of benzene (as an alternative for harsh chemical process). Finally, peroxidases and peroxygenases also showed a potential as delignification biocatalysts and in the decolorization of contaminant dyes from textile industries. © 2014 The Authors.
