In this paper, the modified S-curve membership function methodology is used in a real life industrial problem of mix product selection. This problem occurs in the production planning management where by a decision maker plays important role in making decision in an uncertain environment. As analysts, we try to find a good enough solution for the decision maker to make a final decision. An industrial application of fuzzy linear programming (FLP) through the S-curve membership function has been investigated using a set of real life data collected from a Chocolate Manufacturing Company. The problem of fuzzy product mix selection has been defined. The objective of this paper is to find an optimal units of products with higher level of satisfaction with vagueness as a key factor. Since there are several decisions that were to be taken, a table for optimal units of products respect to vagueness and degree of satisfaction has been defined to identify the solution with higher level of units of products and with a higher degree of satisfaction. The fuzzy outcome shows that higher units of products need not lead to higher degree of satisfaction. The findings of this work indicates that the optimal decision is depend on vagueness factor in the fuzzy system of mix product selection problem. Further more the high level of units of products obtained when the vagueness is low. 相似文献
The finite element model with cubic polynomial shape functions to analyse thin arches has been modified to relieve membrane locking effects and thus to achieve better performance. Two different ways of improving the element stiffness have been studied, one by adopting the reduced integration technique and the other by adopting a least square fit to achieve field consistency for membrane strains. The curved cantilever beam of Kikuchi and two fixed circular arches of Dawe having different ratios of radius to thickness (one deep, the other shallow) were studied by using the improved models. The results obtained by the improved models are compared with those of others. The model with three point integration for membrane energy gives, as expected, identical results in comparison with field consistency. The model with two point reduced integration in membrane and four point integration for bending has been found to be superior in convergence. 相似文献
Leaf extract of medicinally important plant Ocimum sanctum(O. sanctum) has been used for the synthesis of nickel nanoparticles(Ni Gs) and extraction of quercetin(Qu). Qu has been conjugated with Ni Gs for enhanced anticancer effect on human breast cancer MCF–7 cells. Extracted Qu was conjugated with polyethylene glycol(PEG) coated Ni Gs(Qu–PEG–Ni Gs) which was used as carriers for breast cancer treatment. Anticancer activity of Qu–PEG–Ni Gs was evaluated by assessing cell viability, reactive oxygen species(ROS) production, caspase activity, mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP) and changes in nuclear morphology(staining methods). 0.85 mg of quercetin was extracted from 1 g of leaves with retention time(R_t) of 2.914 min. Loading and encapsulation efficiency of quercetin onto PEG–Ni Gs was 15.04% and 82% respectively and Qu–PEG–Ni Gs has shown a sustained release of Qu of about 84% after 48 h. Qu and Qu–PEG–Ni Gs showed dose dependent(1.56–50 μg/m L) anticancer effect against MCF–7 cells with IC50 values of 50 and 6.25 μg/m L respectively which was mediated by oxidative stress due to ROS over-production that induced loss of mitochondrial membrane potential, capsase-9,-7 activities leading to apoptosis. The present study validates that Qu–PEG–Ni Gs can be used as a potential anticancer agent for cancer therapy. 相似文献
There are two types of problems in tensegrity design: (i) form-finding when the tensegrity shape is not specified and (ii) synthesis when the tensegrity shape is specified. We address synthesis problems in this paper. We first formulated and solved an optimization problem to synthesize tensegrity structures of specified shape when the connectivity of the elements (bars and cables) is known a priori. We minimize the error in force-balance at the vertices in the desired equilibrium configuration by using force densities as the design variables. This constrained minimization problem enabled us to synthesize a known asymmetric tensegrity arch and a hitherto unknown tensegrity of biconcave shape similar to that of a healthy human red blood cell. We also extend the above method to a reduced order optimization problem for synthesizing complex symmetric tensegrity structures. Using this approach, we synthesized a truncated dodecahedron inside another truncated dodecahedron to emulate a nucleus inside a cell. We use a restricted global structure on an already available two-step mixed integer linear programming (MILP) topology optimization formulation to synthesize a non-convex tensegrity structure when only the coordinates are provided. We further improve this two-step MILP to a single-step MILP. We also present static analysis of a tensegrity structure by minimizing the potential energy with unilateral constraints on the lengths of the cables that cannot take compressive loads. Furthermore, we use this method to synthesize a tensegrity table of desired height and area under a predefined load. The prototypes of three synthesized tensegrities were made and validated. 相似文献

Lead-free piezoelectric compounds (0.94)(Na0.5Bi0.5)TiO3–(0.06) BaTiO3 [NBBT (94/06)]?+?x wt.% Nb5+ (x?=?0%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5%) were synthesized by the solid-state reaction route and these powders were pelletized and sintered for dielectric and piezoelectric characterization. The phase coexistence Monoclinic (Cc)?+?Rhombohedral (R3c) was affirmed using X-ray Powder diffraction analysis. The structural properties like cell parameters and space group of the synthesized ceramics were investigated by the Rietveld refinement analysis. The surface morphology and grain size of the fractured ceramics were explored using SEM imaging technique. The dielectric properties for all the ratios of NBBT (94/06) ceramics were examined using LCR meter. The piezoelectric coefficients such as d33 and g33 of Nb-doped NBBT (94/06) ceramics were investigated. The saturation polarization (Ps) and remanent polarization (Pr) were exhibited from the P–E hysteresis loop analysis at room temperature. The appropriate addition of Nb5+ (x?=?1.5%) in NBBT (94/06) material demonstrates eminent dielectric constant and piezoelectric coefficient d33 than other wt.% of Nb. The replacement of Ti4+ with higher radius cations Nb5+ in B-site of ABO3 composes tilting of polar BO6 octahedra resulting in rhombohedra distortion (RD) (90° ? α), in addition, the polarizability of ions and various valance states of B-site cations could be responsible for RD (90° ? α) ensuing relatively high dielectric constant and piezoelectricity.
A fuel cell stack for use in transportation or in applications which involves the positioning of such systems in a location of high vibration and shock, is subjected to accelerated stress screening to ascertain the reliability of the stack, mechanical integrity and also to assess the mounting requirements. Such studies have not been well documented in open literature. In this paper, we have done the vibration test analysis on a 500 W Proton Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) fuel cell stack developed at our centre by simulating some of the vibration, shock and resonance in the stack and the likelihood of the stack to undergo in any application and evaluated the robustness of the stack. An experimental setup was designed for this purpose consisting of subjecting the PEM fuel cell stack to random and swept-sine excitations on a vibrating platform in three axes and measuring the mechanical response using accelerometers fixed at various locations in the stack. The fuel cell performance (pre-vibration test and post-vibration test) as obtained from polarization studies and the power–amperage curves does not show any significant damage effects, and a post-testing stack inspection showed a minor torque release. Further tests are recommended to study the dynamic life test. This study opens up further investigation which the authors propose to carry out in due course. 相似文献
