The effects of difructose anhydride III (di-D-fructofuranose-1,2':2,3'-dianhydride; DFA III) administration (3% DFA III for 4 weeks) on rat intestinal microbiota were examined using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). According to DGGE profiles, the number of bacteria related to Bacteroides acidofaciens and uncultured bacteria within the Clostridium lituseburense group decreased, while that of bacteria related to Bacteroides vulgatus, Bacteroides uniformis and Ruminococcus productus increased in DFA III-fed rat cecum. In the cecal contents of DFA III-fed rats, a lowering of pH and an increase in short chain fatty acids (SCFAs), especially acetic acid, were observed. The DFA III-assimilating bacterium, Ruminococcus sp. M-1, was isolated from the cecal contents of DFA III-fed rats. The strain had 98% similarity with R. productus ATCC 27340T (L76595), and mainly produced acetic acid. These results confirmed that the bacteria harmful to host health were not increased by DFA III administration. Moreover, DFA III stimulated the growth of Ruminococcus sp. M-1 producing acetic acid, which may alter the intestinal microbiota towards a healthier composition. It is expected that DFA III would be a new candidate as a prebiotic.  相似文献

This study investigated the effect of heat treatment on the color and DRIFT spectra of light-irradiated heartwood of Japanese cedar. The heat number of carbonyl groups caused by light-irradiation decreased with increasing relative humidity during treatment. Although two sub-bands of carbonyl groups changed with exposure to light, with heat treatment after light-irradiation the carbonyl band at 1,756 cm?1 decreased more than that at 1,716 cm?1. The change in the color of wood with light-irradiation is related to the degradation of lignin. However, it is assumed that the changes caused by heat treatment in unirradiated and irradiated wood are related not to lignin degradation but to low molecular compounds that are produced from lignin by light-irradiation and hemicellulose.  相似文献

Energy storage using liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) is a long-term method to store renewable energy with high hydrogen energy density. This study investigated a simple and low-cost system to produce methylcyclohexane (MCH) from toluene and hydrogen using fluctuating electric power, and developed its control method. In the current system, hydrogen generated by an alkaline water electrolyzer was directly supplied to hydrogenation reactors, where hydrogen purification equipment such as PSA and TSA is not installed to decrease costs. Hydrogen buffer tanks and compressors are not equipped. In order to enable MCH production using fluctuating electricity, a feed-forward toluene supply control method was developed and introduced to the system. The electrolyzer was operated under triangular waves and power generation patterns of photovoltaic cells and produced hydrogen with fluctuating flow rates up to 7.5 Nm3/h. Consequently, relatively high purity of MCH (more than 90% of MCH mole fraction) was successfully produced. Therefore, the simplified system has enough potential to produce MCH using fluctuating renewable electricity.  相似文献

The hydrolysis of soybean oil by different lipases was compared, and the results demonstrated that lipases D, N and G hydrolyzed the oil to 44, 42 and 7.2%, respectively, after 10 hr reaction, which represents incomplete hydrolysis. But the combined enzyme systems (lipases (G+N and lipases G+D) hydrolyzed the oil to an extent of 95–98% after 10 hr reaction. Plotting the percentage hydrolysis of soybean oil by combined enzyme systems against the logarithm of the reaction time resulted in essentially straight lines.  相似文献

Micro-tensile tests were performed on high-pressure-torsion-processed specimens of type 304 steel with grain sizes in the range of 0.1–0.5 μm to clarify the effect of ultrafine grain refinement on the hydrogen embrittlement (HE) of metastable austenitic steel. The ultrafine-grained (UFG) specimens with average grain sizes < ~0.4 μm exhibited a limited uniform elongation followed by a steady-stress regime in the stress–strain curves, which was attributed to a martensitic transformation. A high yield stress and a moderate elongation to failure were attained for the UFG specimens with an average grain size of ~0.5 μm in the uncharged state. Hall–Petch relationships well hold between the yield stress and the average grain size for each uncharged and hydrogen-charged specimen. Hydrogen charging increased the friction stress by 40% but did not change the Hall–Petch coefficient. Hydrogen-induced ductility loss was mitigated by ultrafine grain refinement. Ductility loss due to hydrogen charging manifested in the local deformation after a martensitic transformation. This indicates that hydrogen does not significantly affect the martensitic transformation, but shortens the subsequent local deformation process.  相似文献

Some of the heat mirrors, which have high transmittance in the visible region and high reflectance in the infrared, consist of three thin titanium compound stacked films, TiO2/TiN/TiO2 on glass substrate. TiO2 is known to have excellent photo-catalytic properties and the top layer may be expected to work as a photo-catalyst as well as the anti-reflection coating. However, strong thickness dependence of the photo-catalytic properties has been reported and the optimum thickness of the top layer for the heat mirror was too thin for the photo-catalytic properties for decomposition of acetaldehyde gas. In this report, we show a possibility to realize a multi-functional heat mirror which shows the photo-catalytic and heat mirror effects simultaneously by optical calculation and preliminary experiments. We found top TiO2 thickness of 350–400 nm or about 1170 nm showed high heat mirror performance. This thickness was enough to show the photo-catalytic properties.  相似文献

Polymer dielectrics find applications in modern electronic and electrical technologies due to their low density, durability, high dielectric breakdown strength, and design flexibility. However, they are not reliable at high temperatures due to their low mechanical integrity and thermal stability. Herein, a self‐assembled dielectric nanocomposite is reported, which integrates 1D polyaramid nanofibers and 2D boron nitride nanosheets through a vacuum‐assisted layer‐by‐layer infiltration process. The resulting nanocomposite exhibits hierarchical stacking between the 2D nanosheets and 1D nanofibers. Specifically, the 2D nanosheets provide a thermally conductive network while the 1D nanofibers provide mechanical flexibility and robustness through entangled nanofiber–nanosheet morphologies. Experiments and density functional theory show that the nanocomposites through thickness heat transfer processes are nearly identical to that of boron nitride due to synergistic stacking of polyaramid units onto boron nitride nanosheets through van der Waals interactions. The nanocomposite sheets outperform conventional dielectric polymers in terms of mechanical properties (about 4–20‐fold increase of stiffness), light weight (density ≈1.01 g cm?3), dielectric stability over a broad range of temperature (25–200 °C) and frequencies (103–106 Hz), good dielectric breakdown strength (≈292 MV m?1), and excellent thermal management capability (about 5–24 times higher thermal conductivity) such as fast heat dissipation.  相似文献
