In this study, homogenized elastic-viscoplastic behavior of an ultra-fine plate-fin structure fabricated for compact heat exchangers is investigated. First, the homogenized behavior is numerically analyzed using a fully implicit mathematical homogenization scheme of periodic elastic-inelastic solids. A power-law creep relation is assumed to represent the viscoplasticity of base metals at high temperatures. The plate-fin structure is thus shown to exhibit significant anisotropy as well as noticeable compressibility in both the elastic and viscoplastic ranges of the homogenized behavior. Second, a non-linear rate-dependent macroscopic constitutive model is developed using the quadratic yield function proposed for anisotropic compressible plasticity. The resulting constitutive model is shown to be successful for simulating the anisotropy, compressibility, and rate dependency in the homogenized behavior in multi-axial stress states.  相似文献

The quantitative measurement of a crystal bending effect is performed using low-order zone-axis convergent beam electron diffraction (CBED) patterns. Although the accuracy of the present method is inferior to that of the method of using split higher order Laue zone lines, this method enables us to estimate the crystal bending effect at a region very close to the interface and to easily judge whether the crystal bending effect results in a tensile bend or a compressive bend. As an application of the present method, the crystal bending effect at a region close to the SiGe/Si interface was measured. It was found that the crystal bending effect is due to a thin-foil relaxation of almost 0.3 degrees at a region that is approximately 10 nm away from the interface.  相似文献

A boost converter with a 940-V/4.4 A GaN-HEMT as the main switching device was demonstrated to show the possibility of using high-voltage GaN-HEMTs in power electronic applications. The demonstrated circuit achieved an output power of 122 W and a power efficiency of 94.2% under a drain peak voltage as high as 350 V and a switching frequency of 1 MHz. The dual field-plate structure realized high-voltage switching operation with high power efficiency as dynamic on-resistance was suppressed by an increase of the current collapse phenomena.  相似文献

A simplified simulation method was described for charactering mismatching photovoltaic performance integrated with bypass and string diodes, which are configured additionally compared with the tradition design for avoiding deterioration to modules in series or in parallel connection. The Newton-Raphson method was adopted for numerical simulations, with some computation problem discussed for fast convergence. It was proven to be suitable and effective when model validation coinciding with manufacturer specification. Furthermore, maximal power point (MPP) peak positions were reviewed roundly via simulations of the total characteristic curves. Multi-power peaks with multi-diodes installed were also investigated. The proposed method can be benefit for better comprehension on the physical circuit and provides greater program expansibility, and such simulation researches should be applicable for manufacturer to evaluate the configuration of photovoltaic module. © 2009 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Imperata cylindrica is known to produce a pair of triterpenes, isoarborinol and fernenol, that exhibit identical planar structures but possess opposite stereochemistry at six of the nine chiral centers. These differences arise from a boat or a chair cyclization of the B-ring of the substrate. Herein, we report the characterization of three OSC genes from I. cylindrica. IcOSC1 and IcOSC5 were identified as isoarborinol and fernenol synthases, respectively, while IcOSC3 was characterized as a multifunctional enzyme that produces glutinol and friedelin as its major products. Mutational studies of isoarborinol and fernenol synthases revealed that the residues surrounding the DCTAE motif partially affected the conformation of the B-ring during cyclization. Additionally, the IcOSC1-W255H mutant produced the rare triterpene boehmerol. The introduced histidine residue presumably abstracted a proton from the intermediary carbocation at C18 during the 1,2-rearrangement. Expression analysis indicated that all OSC genes were highly expressed in stems.  相似文献

Measuring accurate deformation distribution of large-scale structures inexpensively and efficiently is a crucial challenge of structural health monitoring. Phase-based imaging technique has great potential for accurate and robust multipoint displacement measurement in the field. In this study, the sampling Moiré method—one of the promising optical techniques—was applied to the displacement measurement of a concrete bridge for the high-speed railway in Japan. Using retroreflective Moiré markers, the two-dimensional in-plane displacements at multiple locations could be easily measured from recorded digital images at a distance of 20 m regardless of day and night. Results of the dynamic deflection obtained from the sampling Moiré method were in good agreement with those from a conventional laser Doppler vibrometer. The time series of two-dimensional displacement analyses when the outbound or inbound trains passed at the speed of 150 or 320 km/h through the bridge revealed that the points at the centre and the quarter of the bridge span demonstrated complex deformation behaviour showing elliptical rotation. The effects of random noise of the recorded image were quantitatively investigated, and the air fluctuation was discussed from the field experiments. We proved that measurements using the sampling Moiré method could be more stable at night than daytime.  相似文献

Imprint lithography has emerged as a reliable, reproducible, and rapid method for patterning colloidal nanostructures. As a promising alternative to top-down lithographic approaches, the fabrication of nanodevices has thus become effective and straightforward. In this study, a fusion of interference lithography (IL) and nanosphere imprint lithography on various target substrates ranging from carbon film on transmission electron microscope grid to inorganic and dopable polymer semiconductor is reported. 1D plasmonic photonic crystals are printed with 75% yield on the centimeter scale using colloidal ink and an IL-produced polydimethylsiloxane stamp. Atomically smooth facet, single-crystalline, and monodisperse colloidal building blocks of gold (Au) nanoparticles are used to print 1D plasmonic grating on top of a titanium dioxide (TiO2) slab waveguide, producing waveguide-plasmon polariton modes with superior 10 nm spectral line-width. Plasmon-induced hot electrons are confirmed via two-terminal current measurements with increased photoresponsivity under guiding conditions. The fabricated hybrid structure with Au/TiO2 heterojunction enhances photocatalytic processes like degradation of methyl orange (MO) dye molecules using the generated hot electrons. This simple colloidal printing technique demonstrated on silicon, glass, Au film, and naphthalenediimide polymer thus marks an important milestone for large-scale implementation in optoelectronic devices.  相似文献
