YAG-alumina composites with Al2O3-rich and YAG-rich compositions were prepared by annealing the hot-pressed composites at the eutectic temperature (1820°C) for 1 h followed by cooling down at 10 or 100°C/min in argon atmosphere. Microstructural observations of the solidified composites identified that metastable phase -Al2O3 precipitated in the Al2O3-rich specimens cooled down at both the cooling rates. For the solidified YAG-rich specimens, however, equilibrium phase -Al2O3 could not be reprecipitated, moreover, metastable YAlO3 phase was formed at cooling rate of 100°C/min. Formation of the metastable phases in the solidified composites was attributed to the decreased melting temperature caused by the divorced eutectic precipitation and the metastable decomposition of YAG component in YAG-alumina eutectic melt during rapid solidification.  相似文献

We have measured the AC magnetic susceptibility and static magnetization of high-density bcc solid 3 He through the nuclear-ordering transition. The susceptibility in the paramagnetic state strongly depends on the frequency of the measuring field. Near the transition temperature a sharp peak in the real part of the AC susceptibility and an abrupt depression in the imaginary part are observed. The transition temperature indicated by the AC susceptibility is higher than that derived from static magnetization. We analyzed the new behavior in the susceptibility in terms of the spin relaxation between the Zeeman system and the exchange system. The relaxation time in the energy flow in the two systems is in the range of milliseconds in the paramagnetic state, and decreases drastically by two orders of magnitude in the ordered state. The relaxation time in the paramagnetic state is interpreted as due to exchange narrowing, while in the ordered state is explained to be the drift time of the spin wave limited by the size of the sample grown in the pores of the sintered silver. The ordering temperature is given as a function of molar volume in the entire range of the bcc phase.  相似文献

Tetragonal to monoclinic phase transformation of yttria-stabilized zirconia, namely plasma-sprayed coatings and sintered bodies containing 4–8 mass % Y2O3 during hydrothermal aging was investigated with respect to Y2O3 distribution using 1 m area from electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and 20 nm area from transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis. Phase transformation at 473 K was prevented only in plasma-sprayed coatings having more than 6.7 mass % Y2O3 in 20 nm microscopic area. Furthermore, it was confirmed influence of Y2O3 distribution on the rate constants of this phase transformation was observed at 368 K.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine whether chemo-endocrine therapy after the resection of liver metastasis from colorectal cancer would prevent recurrence in the remnant liver and prolong survival. Eleven colorectal cancer patients underwent hepatic resection for liver metastasis. Subsequently, they were administered Proglumide gastrin antagonist 1,200 mg/day + 5'-DFUR 800 mg/day for 2 years. In seven of them, MMC 6-10 mg and ADM 20 mg were infused intra-arterially every two weeks alternately for one year. In four of them, 5-FU 250 mg/day was infused for seven days continuously intra-arterially every two weeks for one year. Recurrence in the remnant liver occurred in four of 11 patients. All of these patients underwent repeated hepatectomy. The mean disease-free survival in the remnant liver was 37 months and the five-year survival rate was 91%. These results indicate that intra-arterial chemotherapy with gastrin receptor antagonist might be effective for adjuvant therapy in patients with resectable liver metastasis from colorectal cancer.  相似文献

We conducted a questionnaire survey on life styles and health status for 293 patients with Hansen's disease. They were admitted to the wards for disabled and physically able patients of Ohshima Seishoen, in Kagawa prefecture, in 1991. This institution is one of Japan's national leprosy sanitarians. We measured patients' life satisfaction with the Delighted-Terrible Scale. In this report, the distribution of life satisfaction and its associated factors were examined for 210(71.7%) respondents. Factors examined were length of treatment, physical health, and social aspects of life at the sanatorium. The major findings were as follows; 1. The patients aged under 60 had lower proportions of being satisfied with life than those aged 60 or older. The proportions of life satisfaction of the 40-59 age group were 17% for men and 22% for women, while for the 60 or older age groups were 33-44% for men and 41-45% for women. The proportions of life satisfaction in the 60 or older age groups were lower than those of community dwelling elderly persons. 2. We examined factors associated with life satisfaction for the respondents aged 60 or older. Dependence on activities of daily living (ADL) was associated with life satisfaction in some ADL items. Care and aid provided by the staff of the sanatorium may modify the relationship between ADL impairment and life satisfaction. For social aspects of life at the sanatorium, both having networks with family members and having resources other than family were associated with life satisfaction. Going out and positively spending their daily lives were associated with life satisfaction, too. These associations were significant for men. Similar patterns of association were observed for women, but were insignificant. This finding suggests that it is important for the health and medical care staff to pay attention to the social aspects of the life of elderly patients with Hansen's disease.  相似文献

The pressure of a steady-state flow of monomer, p0, changes to a new steady-state flow pressure, pg, in glow discharge. The value of pg is dependent on the flow rate of monomer, the pumping-out rate of the vacuum system for the product gas (which is hydrogen in many cases of plasma polymerization of hydrocarbons), and the characteristic hydrogen yield of a monomer associated with plasma polymerization. The relationships between these factors were established and examined for plasma polymerizations of acetylene, ethylene, and acrylonitrile.  相似文献

Soil microorganisms play an important role in maintaining soil pH at levels suitable for other soil organisms. To clarify the biological neutralization mechanism in soil, we isolated soil microorganisms showing a high ability to neutralize acids and studied their characteristics. From our taxonomic study, three isolated strains were identified as filamentous fungi, namely Mucor sp., Aspergillus fumigatus, and Aureobasidium pullulans. These strains could secrete basic materials, such as ammonia, for neutralization, grow in the medium at pH 4.0 and increase the pH of the medium to approximately 8.0. These microbial cells could neutralize not only nitric acid but also sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. The strains could also grow by utilizing nitric acid as a sole nitrogen source. In the soil containing these organisms, the pH was maintained in the neutral range by the buffering action of basic materials that they secrete. These results suggest that these fungal cells are useful for protecting the soil from acidification by acid rain.  相似文献

A new type of individual-cell-based on-chip multielectrode array (MEA) cell-cultivation system with an agarose microchamber (AMC) array for topographical control of the network patterns of a living neuronal network has been developed. The advantages of this system are that it allows control of the cell positions and numbers for cultivation using AMCs, as well as easy and flexible control of the pattern of connections between the AMCs through photothermal etching where a portion of the agarose layer is melted with a 1480 nm infrared laser beam. With adequate laser power, narrow micrometer-order grooves (microchannels) can easily be fabricated that can be used to combine neighbouring AMCs to enable topographical control of the neural network pattern. Using this system, an individual-cell-based neural network pattern was formed of rat hippocampal cells within the AMC array without cells escaping from the electrode positions in the microchamber during an eight-day cultivation, and could record cell firing in response to 1.5 V, 500 kHz stimulation through an electrode. This demonstrated the potential of the on-chip AMCMEA cell cultivation system for long-term single-cell-based electrophysiological measurement of a neural network system.  相似文献

Hydrogenated soybean oil, even after it has been thoroughly deodorized, will develop a characteristic, objectionable flavor known as hydrogenation flavor during storage. The volatile compounds in such an oil were isolated, fractionated by gas chromatography, and the gas chromatographic fractions identified by IR and mass spectrometry. A total of 48 compounds was identified. Among them, 2-trans-6-trans-octadienal, and higher alcohols and lactones, appeared to play an important role in contributing to the hydrogenation flavor.  相似文献
