PTCR characteristics in porous semiconducting barium titanate ceramics with Curie points from 60° to 360°C were investigated. The magnitude of the PTCR effect in these cerumics decreases self-onsistently with increasing Curie point within this temperature range. The pervaporation behaviors of methanol–water by poly(γ-methyl L -glutamate) (PMLG) membrane at non-steady- and steady-state permeation were investigated. The values of t1/2 (time required to reach a half value of steady-state permeation flux) for methanol and water changed and did not change with the component in feed, respectively. Both of the average diffusion coefficients for methanol–and water–PMLG from the mixture changed exponentially with the sorption amount of methanol by the synergetic effect on diffusion. The difference in behavior of non-steady and steady state diffusion was explained by whether Do (diffusion coefficient at zero penetrant concentration) was influenced by the concentration distribution of penetrant in PMLG membrane. 相似文献

A PCR method for the effective detection of Coxiella burnetii in commercially available mayonnaise was developed. Sample preparations were isolated from 50 g portions of each mayonnaise product by four successive extraction steps in phosphate buffer with 2.0 M NaCl. These extracts were then centrifuged at 20,000 x g for 60 min. DNA was isolated from the solution containing the precipitate with a commercial kit, and amplified quantitatively using real-time PCR that targeted the com1 region of C. burnetii. The recoveries of C. burnetii from 2 kinds of commercial mayonnaise specimens, with a baseline control of 1 x 10(7) particles of the Nine Mile phase II strain, were 85.0 +/- 6.0% and 72.0 +/- 0.4%, respectively. The determination limit of this method was 500 C. burnetii particles per 50 g of mayonnaise. The DNA specimens isolated from 50 different commercial mayonnaise samples sold in Tokyo using this method were amplified using both nested PCR and real-time PCR. No contamination by C. burnetii was detected in any of the mayonnaise samples. 相似文献

A survey of pesticide residues in 595 imported frozen products on the Tokyo market from April 1989 to March 2008 was carried out. Forty three kinds of pesticides, including organophosphorus, organochlorine, carbamate, pyrethroid and others, were detected between levels of trace (below 0.01 ppm) and 4.6 ppm from 162 samples. Chlorpyrifos, cypermethrin and omethoate were frequently detected in green vegetables (komatsuna leaf and spinach), cypermethrin and methamidophos were detected in pods and seeds (green soybean and string pea), chlorpropham (CIPC) was detected in potato, and captan and carbaryl were detected in berries (blueberry, raspberry and strawberry). The hydrophilic pesticide methamidophos was detected in flesh of lychee. Residue levels of these pesticides were calculated as between less than 0.5% and 30% of their ADI values according to the daily intake of frozen products. A simple and rapid liquid chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneous determination of twelve benzimidazole anthelmintics in livestock foods using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection (PDA). A sample was homogenized with acetonitrile and n-hexane, and centrifuged. The acetonitrile phase was isolated and evaporated. The residue was dissolved in 0.1 mol/L carbonate buffer solution (pH = 9.1), sonicated, and then subjected to clean-up on a Bond Elut LRC-C18 cartridge. The benzimidazole compounds were separated isocratically on a Capcell Pak C18 UG 120 (5 microns, 150 x 4.6 mm i.d.) column and detected by PDA at 295 and 313 nm. Mixtures of acetonitrile and 0.05 mol/L ammonium acetate in mixing ratios of (20:80) and (40:60) were used as the mobile phase, and the flow-rate was 1.0 mL/min at 40 degrees C. The mean recoveries (n = 3) from 0.1-0.5 microgram/g added samples were 72.6-97.2% with coefficients of variation of 0.3-8.5%. The detection limits were 0.01-0.05 microgram/g. 相似文献

Fruiting-body lectin genes obtained from Pleurotus cornucopiae were expressed in Pichia pastoris Because of glycosylation of the products, their molecular mass was larger than that of the corresponding native lectins. We found that two distinct flavonoid glycosides isolated from the peel of Japanese persimmon (Diospyros kaki Fuyu), isoquercitrin (Isq) and hyperin (Hyp), are capable of inhibiting antigen-stimulated degranulation in rat basophilic leukaemia RBL-2H3 cells. In order to elucidate the underlying mechanisms, we examined effects of Isq and Hyp on cellular responses induced by antigen stimulation. Treatment with both Isq and Hyp markedly inhibited antigen-stimulated elevation of intracellular free Ca2+ concentration and reactive oxygen species (ROS). Isq and Hyp did not affect NADPH oxidase (NOX) activity, but they possessed DPPH radical-scavenging activity similar to that of epigallocatechin gallate, a potent anti-oxidant, Finally, Isq and Hyp showed little or no effects on Ag-stimulated Syk activation or phosphorylation of signalling molecules. These results indicate that inhibition of antigen-stimulated degranulation by Isq and Hyp is mainly due to suppression of intracellular Ca2+ elevation, which is caused by direct scavenging of ROS that are generated by NOX. Our findings suggest that Isq and Hyp, isolated from the peel of persimmon, would be beneficial for alleviating symptoms of type I allergy. 相似文献

Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) are shown to be globally distributed, environmentally persistent, and bioaccumulative. Although the toxicities of these compounds were reported, the cleanup procedure from the environment is not developed because of their inertness. In this report the sonochemical degradations of PFOS and PFOA to the products through the fission of the perfluorocarbon chains were observed and the half-life times of the PFOS and PFOA degradations under an argon atmosphere determined to be 43 and 22 min, respectively. The shortening of perfluorocarbon chain of PFOS and PFOA leads to the lowering of the toxicity in view of the decrease of the persistence, and the technique would contribute to the remediation of the environmental pollution by these compounds. 相似文献

To increase the popularity of rice shochu, a process was developed to produce ethyl caproate‐ and ethyl lactate‐rich rice shochu. On a laboratory‐scale, there was a shochu production trial with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y‐E. Caproic acid added in the second‐stage fermentation was esterified to ethyl caproate. Both ethyl caproate and ethyl lactate were produced by adding a caproic acid‐producing bacterial (CAPB) consortium and lactic acid bacterium (LAB) to the shochu production process. Yellow koji was more appropriate for producing a flavour‐rich shochu with the addition of a CAPB consortium and LAB than white koji. Optimal addition time for the CAPB consortium and LAB was on the first day of the second‐stage fermentation, judging from concentrations of ethyl caproate and ethyl lactate produced. Additional dosages of CAPB consortium and LAB positively affected the formation of ethyl caproate and ethyl lactate, respectively. Shochu production with the addition of 2% and 4% CAPB consortium led to ethyl caproate concentrations of 27.3 mg/L and 47.9 mg/L in genshu, respectively, and the shochu achieved the best sensory test score from the Japanese shochu brewery panellists. This study evaluated phospholipids (PLs) containing n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFAs) for their specific inherent effects and effects due to a combination of the presence of glycerophosphate structure and n-3 PUFAs on cholesterol metabolism in rats. Rats were fed a diet of AIN-93G containing soybean oil (SO, 7%), SO (5.8%)+fish oil (1.2%), SO (5.2%)+soybean PLs (1.8%), SO (5.2%)+PLs containing n-3 PUFAs (1.8%), and SO (4.0%)+fish oil (1.2%)+soybean PLs (1.8%). Diets with PLs containing n-3 PUFAs, and soybean PLs in combination with fish oil, resulted in decreased serum and liver cholesterol levels through enhancement of fecal cholesterol excretion and suppression of liver sterol regulatory element binding protein-2 mRNA expression compared with the diet containing soybean oil alone. This study shows that soybean PLs with added triacylglycerol that included n-3 PUFAs have the same effects on cholesterol metabolism as PLs containing n-3 PUFAs, and that these could be of benefit to people. 相似文献
