In order to utilize visible light in photocatalytic reactions, nitrogen atoms were doped in commercially available photocatalytic TiO2 powders by using an organic compound such as urea and guanidine. Analysis by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) indicated that N atoms were incorporated into two different sites of the bulk phase of TiO2. A significant shift of the absorption edge to a lower energy and a higher absorption in the visible light region were observed. These N-doped TiO2 powders exhibited photocatalytic activity for the decomposition of 2-propanol in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic activity increased with the decrease of doped N atoms in O site, while decreased with decrease of the other sites. Degradation of photocatalytic activity based on the release of nitrogen atoms was observed for the reaction in the aqueous suspension system. 相似文献

This paper reports experimental results for the viscosity of gaseous mixtures of HFC-134a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane)+HFC-32 (difluoromethane). The measurements were carried out with an oscillating-disk viscometer of the Maxwell type at temperatures from 298.15 to 423.15 K. The viscosity was measured for three mixtures containing 25.00, 52.40, and 74.98 mole% HFC-134a in HFC-32. Experimental results for the viscosity at normal pressures show a minimum as plotted against mole fraction in the higher temperature region, which may be the first experimental observation of the minima for dilute binary gaseous mixtures of HFCs. The viscosity at normal pressures was analyzed with the extended law of corresponding states developed by Kestin et al., and the scaling parameters were obtained for unlike-pair interactions between HFC-32 and HFC-134a. The modified Enskog theory developed by Vesovic and Wakeham was applied to predict the viscosity for the binary gaseous mixtures under pressure. As for the calculation of pseudo-radial distribution functions in mixtures, a method based on the equation of state for hard-sphere fluid mixtures proposed by Carnahan–Starling was applied. 相似文献

A unidirectional continuous-carbon-fibre-reinforced composite was subjected to stress in the direction perpendicular to the fibre direction. By X-ray diffraction, the stress on the incorporated fibre in the composite under transverse load was monitored, and the effects of the environment (water, heat) on stress transfer in the composite were investigated. The adhesion between the matrix and the fibre was irreversibly destroyed by the water absorption and/or cyclic heating, which is found to bring worse stress transfer to the incorporated fibre. X-ray diffraction is a powerful tool for monitoring the stress transfer and its environmental deterioration behaviour in the composite in situ and non-destructively. 相似文献

In this study, the effect of dietary calcium and vitamin D on serum parathyroid hormone and vitamin D metabolites was measured in 376 free-living women aged 65-77 y. Mean calcium intake in both groups was close to the recommended dietary allowance of 800 mg/d. Mean vitamin D intake in the 245 women not taking vitamin D supplements was 3.53 microg/d (141 IU/d), which is below the recommended dietary allowance of 5 microg/d (200 IU/d). To test the hypothesis that vitamin D is more important than calcium in reducing serum parathyroid hormone, the source of dietary calcium intake was subdivided into milk, which is fortified with vitamin D, and nonmilk sources. The serum parathyroid hormone concentration was inversely correlated with calcium intake derived from milk (r = -0.20, P < 0.01) but not from nonmilk sources (r = -0.06). Furthermore, serum calcidiol correlated with milk calcium intake (r = 0.35, P < 0.001) but not with nonmilk calcium intake (r = 0.10). Multivariate analysis showed a significant effect of season on serum calcidiol but not on serum parathyroid hormone. Serum parathyroid hormone was inversely correlated with serum calcidiol (r = -0.33, P < 0.001) and the regression predicted that mean serum parathyroid hormone would be reduced in the elderly to concentrations considered normal in the young when serum calcidiol is 122 nmol/L (49 ng/mL); this would require a much higher recommended dietary allowance for vitamin D than 5 microg/d (200 IU/d). 相似文献

We evaluated the clinical efficacy of LCR MTB, a reagent developed by Abbott in the USA, in the full automatic ligase chain reaction (LCR) for detection of DNA of M. tuberculosis complex using a thermostable ligase. Using 458 samples isolated from patients with tuberculosis, LCR was compared with a smear method and with a culture method, and was also compared with two other methods of gene amplification, MTD and Amplicor, using 340 and 200 of the 458 samples, respectively. The LCR method detected M. tuberculosis in 49.8% (228/458) of the samples, and was superior to the smear method (31.9%, 146/458) and the culture method (39.1%, 179/458) in sensitivity. The LCR method was also superior to the MTD and Amplicor methods; sensitivity were 37.9% (129/340) for MTD vs. 47.6% (162/340) for LCR, and 56.5% (113/200) for Amplicor vs. 59.5% (119/200) for LCR. These favorable results and the convenience of the LCR method, which enables rapid detection of target genes with a high degree of sensitivity, strongly suggest that LCR MTB is useful as a reagent for detection of M. tuberculosis using nucleic acid amplification. 相似文献

A liquid chromatographic/tandem mass spectrometric (LC/MS/MS) assay was developed for the quantitative determination of olanzapine (LY170053, OLZ) in human plasma and serum. Bond Elut C2 solid-phase extraction cartridges (single cartridge or 96-well format), in conjunction with a positive pressure manifold, were used to extract OLZ and its internal standard, LY170222, from the biological matrix. Chromatographic resolution of OLZ from endogenous plasma interferences and its metabolites was accomplished with a MetaChem monochrom HPLC (4.6 x 150 mm, dp 5 microns). Detection was effected with a Perkin-Elmer SCIEX API III Plus mass spectrometer using positive ion atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and a multiple reaction monitoring protocol. The linear dynamic range was from 250 pg ml-1 to 50 ng ml-1 of human plasma/serum using a 0.5 ml aliquot. The inter-day precision (relative standard deviation) and accuracy (relative error) in plasma ranged from 6.26 to 7.66% and from -3.54 to 7.52%, respectively. The intra-day precision and accuracy in serum ranged from 3.46 to 8.76% and from -8.06 to 12.46%, respectively. This assay is sensitive and selective, and will be used to support both human clinical and toxicological analyses. Furthermore, using the 96-well solid-phase extraction format, sample preparation can be easily automated. 相似文献
