Thermite and related processes have attracted considerable attentions as highly useful technologies for material and energy supplies in extreme environments such as geothermal and disaster-stricken areas as well as in space exploration. As part of the development of casing pipes used in geothermal power plants started from the 1970s, long ceramic-lined pipes have been obtained via thermite reaction under effective centrifugal force without any additional heat treatment [Centrifugal-Thermite (C-T) process]. The potentials of the ceramic-lined pipes in deeper geothermal utilizations are revalidated in details by reviewing the results obtained through the erosion-corrosion tests carried out under the conditions of high velocities (up to 100 m/s) and various acidities (from pH 2.0 to pH 4.0) of two-phase flows provided by the geothermal field test apparatus at the Onikobe geothermal power plant in Japan. By reducing the FeO content of the ceramic layer processed under proper additives and reactant amounts, the tested ceramic-lined pipes were significantly improved compared to highly corrosion-resistant stainless steels. The technological advantages obtained through the development of the C-T process can show a useful model to promote thermite-related technologies onward. 相似文献

We report the asymmetric allylic alkylation of allylic chlorides with silyl enolates as a carbon nucleophile using a planar‐chiral cyclopentadienyl‐ruthenium (Cp′Ru) catalyst. The reaction proceeds under unusually mild conditions to give the desired branched products with complete regioselectivity and high enantioselectivity, and reactive functional groups, such as aldehyde, can be tolerated. In this reaction system, Cp′Ru plays an important role in activating both silyl enolate and allylic chloride.

Time Averaging Algorithms with Stopping Rules for Multi‐Agent Consensus with Noisy Measurements 下载免费PDF全文
A time averaging technique is introduced to consensus algorithms in networked multi‐agent systems under a noisy environment. Each agent communicates with its neighboring agents via a constant gain, while the time averaging states of the agents are considered as the values for agreement. The variation of the time averaging states then is evaluated at a specific number of iterations, where the number is given explicitly in terms of parameters related to the consensus accuracy and its probabilistic guarantee. This result establishes a rigorous stopping rule for the multi‐agent consensus with noisy measurements. Several results on this type of stopping rules are provided for undirected, directed, and time‐varying communication graphs. These theoretical results are illustrated through numerical examples. 相似文献

Model-based learning systems such as neural networks usually “forget” learned skills due to incremental learning of new instances. This is because the modification of a parameter interferes with old memories. Therefore, to avoid forgetting, incremental learning processes in these learning systems must include relearning of old instances. The relearning process, however, is time-consuming. We present two types of incremental learning method designed to achieve quick adaptation with low resources. One approach is to use a sleep phase to provide time for learning. The other one involves a “meta-learning module” that acquires learning skills through experience. In the theory of shape from shading, behaviours of the local solution around a critical point of the image play an important role. This paper shows that the second derivatives of the object surface can be locally determined at these image critical points. Closed form expressions of the surface second derivatives in terms of the second derivatives of the image brightness and of the reflectance map are shown. They are derived as follows: By differentiating the image irradiance equation twice at an image critical point, a set of polynomial equations is obtained that contains the second derivatives of the surface, of the image brightness and of the reflectance map. Regarding these equations as simultaneous equations for unknown surface second derivatives, they are algebraically solved and their explicit expressions are derived. Such a derivation is possible only at image critical points and is impossible at any other image point. The applicability of the derived expressions to noisy images is tested using synthetic images. 相似文献

NO2 sensing properties of SnO2-based varistor-type sensors have been investigated in the temperature range of 400-650°C and in the NO2 concentration range of 15–30 ppm. Pure SnO2 exhibited a weak nonlinear I–V characteristic in air, but clear nonlinearity in NO2 at 450°C. The breakdown voltage of SnO2 shifted to a high electric field upon exposure to NO2 and the magnitude of the shift was well correlated with NO2 concentration. Thus, SnO2 exhibited some sensitivity to NO2 as a varistor-type sensor. When SnO2 particles coated with a SiO2 thin film were used as a raw material for fabricating a varistor, the breakdown voltage in air was approximately the double that of pure SnO2 and the sensitivity to 15 ppm NO2 was enhanced slightly. However, the sensitivity to 30 ppm NO2 decreased. The Cr2O3-loading on SnO2 also led to an increase in the breakdown voltage in air, but the Cr2O3 addition was not effective for promoting the NO2 sensitivity under the present experimental conditions. 相似文献

We address the problem of recovering the 3D shape of an unfolded book surface from the shading information in a scanner image. This shape-from-shading problem in a real world environment is made difficult by a proximal, moving light source, interreflections, specular reflections, and a nonuniform albedo distribution. Taking all these factors into account, we formulate the problem as an iterative, non-linear optimization problem. Piecewise polynomial models of the 3D shape and albedo distribution are introduced to efficiently and stably compute the shape in practice. Finally, we propose a method to restore the distorted scanner image based on the reconstructed 3D shape. The image restoration experiments for real book surfaces demonstrate that much of the geometric and photometric distortions are removed by our method. 相似文献

solve the self-stabilizing leader election in population protocols from the aspects of local memory complexity and fairness
assumptions. This paper shows that under the assumption of global fairness, no protocol using only n−1 states can solve the self-stabilizing leader election in complete interaction graphs, where n is the number of agents in the system. To prove this impossibility, we introduce a novel proof technique, called closed-set
argument. In addition, we propose a self-stabilizing leader election protocol using n states that works even under the unfairness assumption. This protocol requires the exact knowledge about the number of agents
