It is well known that the amount of waste tyre increases every year, and a numerous amount of waste tyre is landfilled or dumped all over the world, which causes environmental problems, such as destruction of natural places and the risk of fires. Coprocessing waste tyre and coal is considered as one of the effective processing methods of both materials. Upon coprocessing lower rank coal (Wyoming, C; 68%) with waste tyre, the synergistic effects to upgrading, such as the increase of oil yield and the decrease of residue yield, were appeared. However, the synergistic effects were not observed on coprocessing two kinds of higher rank coals with waste tyre. The reactions of coal with benzophenone were carried out to discuss the hydrogen donatability of coal. Conversion of benzophenone to diphenylmethane on the reaction with Wyoming coal was higher than those of higher rank coals. Accordingly, it was considered that the synergistic effects to upgrading upon coprocessing Wyoming coal with waste tyre were obtained owing to the enhancement of stabilization of radicals from tyre and Wyoming coal through the hydrogen donation from both tyre and Wyoming coal. The effects of reaction temperature and the amount of solvent upon coprocessing Wyoming coal with waste tyre were also discussed in this study.  相似文献

A freckle criterion developed from M.C. Fleming’s macrosegregation theory was extended to consider the effect of the slope of the solidification front. Such slopes are always associated with the remelting of alloy ingots and are frequently encountered in the directional solidification of single crystal and directionally solidified blades. When experimental verification of the criterion was carried out using the horizontal directional solidification method, dendrite growth rate was found to be a key factor in the formation of freckles. The criterion derived considering the slope of the solidification front describes the occurrence of freckles relatively well. Critical values for freckle formation were obtained for a few nickel-base superalloys. Involvement of the glutamate receptor channel delta 2 subunit in cerebellar long-term depression (LTD) was studied in cultures prepared from wild-type and mutant mice deficient in the delta 2 subunit. LTD of the glutamate response was induced by pairing glutamate applications and depolarization of a Purkinje cell in wild-type culture. However, in cultured Purkinje cells prepared from mutant mice, the same conditioning failed to induce LTD. Immunocytological staining showed that mutant Purkinje cells develop and express calbindin (a marker protein for Purkinje cells) as do wild-type cells, but they express no delta 2 subunit protein. The results indicate that the glutamate receptor channel delta 2 subunit is involved in the postsynaptic down-regulation of glutamate sensitivity, presumably during cerebellar LTD.  相似文献

This paper describes recent technical challenges and the progress toward the realization of the optical transport network (OTN) based on 43 Gb/s channel. We describe the new digital frame format "OTU3: Optical Channel Transport Unit 3," which is standardized in ITU-T for OTN, for the enhancement of the network management capability in the OTN based on 43-Gb/s channels. We first proposed 43-Gb/s/ch dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) dispersion-managed transmission system using carrier-suppressed return-to-zero (CS-RZ) format that has several attractive features; it advances the evolution of OTN into 100 GHz-spaced long-haul DWDM transport networks. The first wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) field trials confirmed the superiority of CS-RZ format in the DWDM transmission performance for the first time. The first 1 Tb/s (25 /spl times/ 43 Gb/s) WDM field trial confirmed the excellent network management capability of OTU3 in future data-centric OTN using the newly developed 43-Gb/s OTN line-terminal prototype.  相似文献

Single microtips, 2×2 and 10×10 arrays of microtips surrounded by an integrated focusing ring, were fabricated and their focusing characteristics experimentally investigated. Observation of the beam on a phosphor screen shows that the focusing is very effective for single microtips and 2×2 arrays; moreover, the reduction in emitted current is much smaller than for double-gate focusing. 10×10 arrays of microtips, however, do not generate very focused beams. These results agree well with simulations. The possibility of simultaneous focusing and deflecting is also discussed, and a new structure combining the advantages of double-gate and surrounding ring focusing is suggested  相似文献

Helicobacter pylori and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are two of the most common causes of peptic ulceration. The aim of this review is to assess the possible inter-relationships between Helicobacter pylori and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the pathogenesis of gastric and duodenal erosions and ulcers, with the aim of assessing if the presence of Helicobacter pylori is likely to increase the likelihood of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug-related gastroduodenal symptoms and lesions, and if eradication of Helicobacter pylori may reduce or prevent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug lesions. There appears to be more likelihood of dyspeptic symptoms in patients on long-term non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs when Helicobacter pylori is present. The balance of evidence also suggests that peptic ulcers and erosions in patients on long-term non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may be more likely to occur in patients who are Helicobacter pylori positive compared to those who are Helicobacter pylori negative. Although Helicobacter pylori and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs both increase the risk of peptic ulcer bleeding, the risk does not appear to be additive. There is increasing evidence from prospective studies that eradication of Helicobacter pylori may reduce the incidence of ulcers in patients on non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. More prospective long-term studies are required. If Helicobacter pylori is confirmed to be a factor in this respect, it will aid in the targeting of patients at greatest risk of developing ulcers in patients on long-term non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Those at greatest risk are elderly patients, especially females, smokers, patients with a previous ulcer history, severe or debilitating arthritis or who have other chronic diseases. The addition of Helicobacter pylori to this list and its subsequent eradication may improve the outlook for these patients and help in the effective targeting of patients at greatest risk who are on long-term non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.  相似文献

Additive effects of glass powder upon the product yields and chlorine distribution after liquefaction of hydrothermally pretreated mixed waste (HMW) are compared with liquefaction of HMW with any one of water, quartz sand, or glass powder plus water. As a result, addition of either water or quartz sand did not affect liquefaction and dechlorination of HMW. Further, water (5 g) addition did not enhance liquefaction and dechlorination of HMW with glass powder. On the other hand, after liquefaction of HMW with glass powder, the yields of chlorine in the gas and water insoluble constituents decreased and the chlorine yield in the water-soluble constituent increased significantly. Because sodium in glass powder dissolved in a small amount (0.5 g) of water resulted from dehydration of HMW during liquefaction. Further, hydrogen chloride derived from polyvinylchloride in HMW was neutralized by ion exchange between H(+) and Na(+) dissolved in a small amount of water forming NaCl in the Residue (water-soluble) constituent. Therefore, most of chlorine in HMW was removed easily by water extraction of the Residue constituent after liquefaction of HMW with glass powder. Further, upgrading of HMW into the oil constituent was enhanced due to inhibition of production of chlorine containing organic compounds. Accordingly, it was clarified that glass powder was the most effective additive for liquefaction and dechlorination of HMW.  相似文献

Amorphous polymer/crystalline polymer blends can be prepared via the simultaneous polymerization of polymethacrylate/polyurethane combinations. The relationship between higher order structures and fracture mechanisms in these blends must be uncovered to elucidate the source of the increased fracture toughness of such materials. The present work involves the production of blended polymethacrylate/polyurethane and assess the internal structures of these specimens using optical and electron microscopy. These observations reveal the presence of both spherulites and elastomeric phases. The spherulites consisting of the polyurethane and are several micrometers in diameter whereas the phase-separated polyurethane elastomeric domains are approximately 100 nm in size. Multiple cracks, crack bridging and plastic deformation around the precrack tips of loaded specimens are evidently responsible for the increased toughness of these blends. The former two phenomena are attributed to the presence of spherulites while the plastic deformation of the methacrylate matrix is ascribed to cavitation of the polyurethane elastomeric phases in response to loading.  相似文献
