We have characterized the electronic structure of FeSe1−xTex for various x values using soft x-ray photoemission spectroscopy (SXPES), high-resolution photoemission spectroscopy (HRPES) and inverse photoemission spectroscopy (IPES). The SXPES valence band spectral shape shows that the 2 eV feature in FeSe, which was ascribed to the lower Hubbard band in previous theoretical studies, becomes less prominent with increasing x. HRPES exhibits systematic x dependence of the structure near the Fermi level (EF): its splitting near EF and filling of the pseudogap in FeSe. IPES shows two features, near EF and approximately 6 eV above EF; the former may be related to the Fe 3d states hybridized with chalcogenide p states, while the latter may consist of plane-wave-like and Se d components. In the incident electron energy dependence of IPES, the density of states near EF for FeSe and FeTe has the Fano lineshape characteristic of resonant behavior. These compounds exhibit different resonance profiles, which may reflect the differences in their electronic structures. By combining the PES and IPES data the on-site Coulomb energy was estimated at 3.5 eV for FeSe. 相似文献

A total-reflection active-mirror (TRAM) amplifier is functionally designed by using a composite ceramic for high pulse energy and high average power. A chirped-pulse regenerative amplifier with a cryogenic TRAM has been successfully demonstrated as a feasibility study. A 3.5 mJ pulse energy is obtained at a repetition rate of 100 Hz. The corresponding energy fluence on the TRAM is as high as 1.5 J/cm2 for 0.46 ns short pulses. The M2-factor is below 1.1 and no significant beam distortion is observed. 相似文献

With increasing penetration of distributed generators such as photovoltaic (PV) systems in distribution systems, it is very important to quickly detect islanding caused by power system faults in order to assure electrical safety. We have developed a nonlinear magnetizing characteristics model of pole transformers for use in analyzing islanding prevention in PV systems. Abstract Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) prepared by a DC-Arc-Discharge and purified by a hydrothermal treatment followed by several steps of procedures including heating, burning, extracting and acid-washing are investigated by a conventional STM technique morphologically and spectroscopically. The electical resistivities of compacted pellets (mats) of SWCNT are measured as a function of temperature in the range from the room-temperature to 1.5K. The Twomey non-linear iteration (NLI) method is known by the simple algorithm. However, the performance of the inversion is strongly depended on parameters of the NLI algorithm. Major parameters in the algorithm are the initial size distribution, weight parameter, and the number of iteration. In the study, we show how values of initial parameters affect to the result of size distribution in the algorithm by the laser diffraction scattering method. Computer simulations and experimental method are carried out to observe the influence of the parameters in the algorithm. Scattering pattern is calculated by Mie scattering model in the range of 5.0 × 10?4 ? 2.5 rad. Experimental results were measured mono-distribution polystyrene latex (50 μm) and poly-distribution glass beads (3–30 μm, and 10–100 μm). The number of iteration is a most influence parameter in the NLI algorithm. If the number of iteration is too high for calculation, calculated result will lose the smoothness. We also introduced a new parameter C (combination of the sum of residual squares of scattering signals and sum of secondary differentiation of size distribution) to monitor the suitable stop criterion for the NLI method. The parameter C is a useful index for the poly dispersion sample to find the suitable stop criterion. 相似文献

A mass balance and kinetic investigation of anaerobic dechlorination of pentachlorophenol (PCP) was undertaken using an enriched microbial consortium in a laboratory scale continuous flow column, as a model microbial permeable reactive barrier. The chlorine balance showed that 50 µM PCP was largely dechlorinated to phenol with the formation of a small quantity of 3-chlorophenol as an intermediate metabolite (hydraulic retention time 7.6 days), and the chlorine removal efficiency reached 36 µM d-1. When the initial PCP concentration was increased to 100 µM the chlorine removal efficiency increased 1.5 times. However, the dechlorination activity disappeared after 7.4 pore volumes (58 days), demonstrating the susceptibility of the dechlorination culture to high concentrations of PCP. Lactate released hydrogen as an electron donor during PCP dechlorination, with acetate, propionate, CO2 and CH4 as byproducts. The carbon balance showed that some of the organic carbon source (PCP, lactate) in the influent was converted to gas and utilized for biomass growth in addition to organic metabolites. The kinetic study was conducted in a batch culture and yielded 1.99 mg l-1 biomass growth per unit of chlorine consumption (µM). The Monod equation was well fitted to the specific growth rate of 1.38 d-1 and a half saturation constant of 0.29 µM. The organic chlorine removal rate in the batch culture was consistent with the results in the flow column, indicating the feasibility of and potential for in situ estimation and prediction through batch culture studies. 相似文献

The SnO2 particles with different morphologies of nanorod, nanosheet, nanoparticle and nanodot were synthesized by liquid-phase methods. In addition, Pt was loaded on each prepared SnO2 by dispersing SnO2 particles into PtCl4 2? aqueous solutions containing 0.67 vol% methanol, followed by UV light irradiation for 6 h. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller measurement. The gas sensing properties of the synthesized SnO2 were tested by detecting the change in electric resistivity in flowing aceton and methanol gases with nitrogen base. The gas sensing properties greatly changed depending on not only the specific surface area, but also the exposed crystal plane, i.e., the SnO2 nanorods exposing (111) planes showed the excellent sensitivity and quick response ability, indicating the excellent gas sensing ability of the (111) plane.
