Visual saliency is an important research topic in the field of computer vision due to its numerous possible applications. It helps to focus on regions of interest instead of processing the whole image or video data. Detecting visual saliency in still images has been widely addressed in literature with several formulations. However, visual saliency detection in videos has attracted little attention, and is a more challenging task due to additional temporal information. A common approach for obtaining a spatio-temporal saliency map is to combine a static saliency map and a dynamic saliency map. In our work, we model the dynamic textures in a dynamic scene with local binary patterns to compute the dynamic saliency map, and we use color features to compute the static saliency map. Both saliency maps are computed using a bio-inspired mechanism of human visual system with a discriminant formulation known as center surround saliency, and are fused in a proper way. The proposed model has been extensively evaluated with diverse publicly available datasets which contain several videos of dynamic scenes, and comparison with state-of-the art methods shows that it achieves competitive results.  相似文献

We propose a technique for investigating stability properties like positivity and forward invariance of an interval for method-of-lines discretizations, and apply the technique to study positivity preservation for a class of TVD semi-discretizations of 1D scalar hyperbolic conservation laws. This technique is a generalization of the approach suggested in Khalsaraei (J Comput Appl Math 235(1): 137–143, 2010). We give more relaxed conditions on the time-step for positivity preservation for slope-limited semi-discretizations integrated in time with explicit Runge–Kutta methods. We show that the step-size restrictions derived are sharp in a certain sense, and that many higher-order explicit Runge–Kutta methods, including the classical 4th-order method and all non-confluent methods with a negative Butcher coefficient, cannot generally maintain positivity for these semi-discretizations under any positive step size. We also apply the proposed technique to centered finite difference discretizations of scalar hyperbolic and parabolic problems.  相似文献

Composites based on interpenetrating networks (IPNs) of cellulose nanofibril (CNF) aerogels and polyacrylamide are prepared and exhibit robust mechanical, water retaining, and re‐swelling capacities. Furthermore, their swelling behavior is not affected by an increased ionic strength of the aqueous phase. These unprecedented IPNs combine the water retaining capacity of the polyacrylamide with the mechanical strength provided by the CNF aerogel template. The CNF aerogel/polyacrylamide composites exhibit a compressive stress at break greater than 250% compared with a neat polyacrylamide hydrogel. Furthermore, the composites retain their wet compression properties after drying and re‐swelling, whereas the neat polyacrylamide hydrogels fail at a significantly lower stress and strain after drying and re‐swelling. These composite materials highlight the potential of CNF aerogels to strengthen the mechanical properties and reduce the number of fracture defects during the drying and re‐swelling of a hydrogel. These composites show the potential of being optimized for a plethora of applications, especially in the hygiene field and for biomedical devices.  相似文献

In the field of flexible electronics, emerging applications require biocompatible and unobtrusive devices, which can withstand different modes of mechanical deformation and achieve low complexity in the fabrication process. Here, the fabrication of a mesa‐shaped elastomeric substrate, supporting thin‐film transistors (TFTs) and logic circuits (inverters), is reported. High‐relief structures are designed to minimize the strain experienced by the electronics, which are fabricated directly on the pillars' surface. In this design configuration, devices based on amorphous indium‐gallium‐zinc‐oxide can withstand different modes of deformation. Bending, stretching, and twisting experiments up to 6 mm radius, 20% uniaxial strain, and 180° global twisting, respectively, are performed to show stable electrical performance of the TFTs. Similarly, a fully integrated digital inverter is tested while stretched up to 20% elongation. As a proof of the versatility of mesa‐shaped geometry, a biocompatible and stretchable sensor for temperature mapping is also realized. Using pectin, which is a temperature‐sensitive material present in plant cells, the response of the sensor shows current modulation from 13 to 28 °C and functionality up to 15% strain. These results demonstrate the performance of highly flexible electronics for a broad variety of applications, including smart skin and health monitoring.  相似文献

In this article, we provide a new procedure to test for at‐most‐ changes in the time‐dependent regression model , that is, β 1 =  β 2 = ? =  β T under the no‐change null hypothesis against the alternative if and β (j) ≠  β (?) for some with . Our procedure is based on weighted sums of the residuals, incorporating the possibility of changes. The weak limit of the proposed test statistic is the sum of two double‐exponential random variables. A small Monte Carlo simulation illustrates the applicability of the limit results in case of small and moderate sample sizes. We compare the new method to the cumulative sum control chart (CUSUM) and standardized (weighted) CUSUM procedures and obtain the power curves of the test statistics under the alternative. We apply our method to find changes in the unconditional four‐factor capital asset pricing model.  相似文献

AlGaN/GaN heterostructure field effect transistors (HFETs) were irradiated with protons as well as carbon, oxygen, iron and krypton ions of high (68 and 120 MeV) and low (2 MeV) energy with fluences in the range from 1 × 107 to 1 × 1013 cm?2. High energy irradiation with protons, carbon and oxygen produced no degradation in devices while krypton irradiation at the fluence of 1 × 1010 cm?2 resulted in a small reduction of 2% in the transconductance. Similarly, for GaN samples irradiated with protons, carbon and oxygen at high energy no changes were seen by XRD, PL and Hall effect, while changes in lattice constant and a reduction in PL intensity were observed after irradiation with high energy krypton. Low energy irradiation with carbon and oxygen at a fluence of 5 × 1010 cm?2 results in small change in the device performance while remarkable changes in device characteristics are seen at a fluence of 1 × 1012 cm?2 for carbon, oxygen, iron and krypton irradiation. Similarly changes are also observed by XRD, PL and Hall effect for the thick GaN layer irradiated at the fluence of 1 × 1012 cm?2. The device results and GaN layer properties are strongly correlated.  相似文献

We have developed a technique so that both transmission electron microscopy and microphotoluminescence can be performed on the same semiconductor nanowire over a large range of optical power, thus allowing us to directly correlate structural and optical properties of rotationally twinned zinc blende InP nanowires. We have constructed the energy band diagram of the resulting multiquantum well heterostructure and have performed detailed quantum mechanical calculations of the electron and hole wave functions. The excitation power dependent blue-shift of the photoluminescence can be explained in terms of the predicted staggered band alignment of the rotationally twinned zinc blende/wurzite InP heterostructure and of the concomitant diagonal transitions between localized electron and hole states responsible for radiative recombination. The ability of rotational twinning to introduce a heterostructure in a chemically homogeneous nanowire material and alter in a major way its optical properties opens new possibilities for band-structure engineering.  相似文献

Energy protection of buildings can be achieved by using suitable construction with minimisation of thermal bridges. This paper is a contribution to the characterisation of the thermal defects and energy efficiency of the envelope on the case study of a solid-state biogas plant. The work specifically concerns the qualitative evaluation of envelope construction details by infrared thermography technique and quantitative evaluation of thermal defects by calculation. Results show that wall constructions of the solid-state biogas plant have an unsuitable engineering solution causing high heat losses. The main problem is the existence of significant numbers of thermal bridges caused by uninsulated bearing steel frames of the façade system, gates, doors and windows.  相似文献

The blade row interaction can alter the time-mean flow and therefore be of interest for aerodynamic design analysis. Whereas results within low subsonic turbomachines are quite numerous in the literature, there have been far fewer works which give results of blade row interaction within high speed cases. Two cases are related in this paper. First, the effects of an incoming wake on the rotor flow field of a transonic compressor are analyzed. The blade row interaction proved to be positive regarding the total pressure ratio, but negative regarding the losses. The second case concerns a transonic turbine. Particular emphasis is placed on the assessment of the deterministic correlations included in the Averaged Passage Equation System.  相似文献

The θ-Al2O3?→?α-Al2O3 phase transformation was investigated in thermally grown oxide formed on β-(Ni,Pt)Al bond coats during isothermal exposures at 900–1,200?°C in an argon atmosphere stream with the O2 partial pressure of 1?×?10?5?atm. Local curve fitting was used to evaluate the evolution of the parabolic rate constant, k p , using a general kinetic model (t?=?A?+?BΔm?+?CΔm 2), during the first 5?h of oxidation. All net mass–gain curves exhibited deviations from the classic parabolic model, Δm?=?k p t ?; a steady state regime was established only after 4?h of exposures, except for the sample oxidized at 1,100?°C.  相似文献
