In this paper, we address the constrained two‐dimensional rectangular guillotine single large placement problem (2D_R_CG_SLOPP). This problem involves cutting a rectangular object to produce smaller rectangular items from orthogonal guillotine cuts. In addition, there is an upper limit on the number of copies that can be produced of each item type. To model this problem, we propose a new pseudopolynomial integer nonlinear programming (INLP) formulation and obtain an equivalent integer linear programming (ILP) formulation from it. Additionally, we developed a procedure to reduce the numbers of variables and constraints of the integer linear programming (ILP) formulation, without loss of optimality. From the ILP formulation, we derive two new pseudopolynomial models for particular cases of the 2D_R_CG_SLOPP, which consider only two‐staged or one‐group patterns. Finally, as a specific solution method for the 2D_R_CG_SLOPP, we apply Benders decomposition to the proposed ILP formulation and develop a branch‐and‐Benders‐cut algorithm. All proposed approaches are evaluated through computational experiments using benchmark instances and compared with other formulations available in the literature. The results show that the new formulations are appropriate in scenarios characterized by few item types that are large with respect to the object's dimensions.  相似文献

Production of carbon fiber reinforced polymers (i.e., one of the basic material of the modern airplanes) is an elaborate process unfree from faults and problems. Errors during the manufacturing or the plies' overlapping, in fact, can cause particular flaws in the resulting material, so compromising its same integrity. Within this framework, ultrasonic tests could be useful to characterize the presence of defect, depending on its dimensions. On the contrary, the requirement of a perfect state for used polymers is unavoidable in order to assure both transport reliability and passenger safety. Therefore, a real-time approach able to recognize and classify the defect starting from the measured ultrasonic echoes could be very useful in industrial applications. The ill-posedness of the so defined process induce a regularization method. In this paper, an heuristic approach is proposed for this aim. Particularly, the proposed method is based on the use of support vector machines. Obtained results assure good performances of the implemented classifier, with very interesting applications.  相似文献

This paper introduces an evolutionary algorithm as a procedure to solve the Synchronized and Integrated Two-Level Lot Sizing and Scheduling Problem (SITLSP). This problem can be found in some industrial settings, mainly soft drink companies, where the production process involves two interdependent levels with decisions concerning raw material storage and soft drink bottling. The challenge is to simultaneously determine the lot-sizing and scheduling of raw materials in tanks and soft drinks in bottling lines, where setup costs and times depend on the previous items stored and bottled. A multi-population genetic algorithm approach with a novel representation of solutions for individuals and a hierarchical ternary tree structure for populations is proposed. Computational tests include comparisons with an exact approach for small-to-moderate-sized instances and with real-world production plans provided by a manufacturer.  相似文献

We present two-stage stochastic mixed 0–1 optimization models to hedge against uncertainty in production planning of typical small-scale Brazilian furniture plants under stochastic demands and setup times. The proposed models consider cutting and drilling operations as the most limiting production activities, and synchronize them to avoid intermediate work-in-process. To design solutions less sensitive to changes in scenarios, we propose four models that perceive the risk reductions over the scenarios differently. The first model is based on the minimax regret criteria and optimizes a worst-case scenario perspective without needing the probability of the scenarios. The second formulation uses the conditional value-at-risk as the risk measure to avoid solutions influenced by a bad scenario with a low probability. The third strategy is a mean-risk model based on the upper partial mean that aggregates a risk term in the objective function. The last approach is a restricted recourse approach, in which the risk preferences are directly considered in the constraints. Numerical results indicate that it is possible to achieve significant risk reductions using the risk-averse strategies, without overly sacrificing average costs.  相似文献

This paper describes the results of an intercomparison of spectroradiometers for global and direct normal incidence irradiance in the visible and near‐infrared spectral regions together with an assessment of the impact these results may have on the estimation of the short‐circuit current (ISC) calibration of photovoltaic devices and on the spectral mismatch calculation. The intercomparison was conducted in the framework of the European project Apollon with the additional participation of external partners from the Italian project for the long‐term monitoring of solar radiation for photovoltaics. Six institutions and six spectroradiometer systems, representing different technologies and manufacturers, were involved. Prior to the intercomparison, all participating partners calibrated their own instrument(s) according to their usual procedures in order to verify the entire measuring and traceability chain. The difference in measured spectra shape and amplitude showed to have an impact on ISC calculation of less than 3% and less than 6% for single‐junction and multi‐junction devices, respectively. When only the shape of the spectra is considered, the spectral mismatch ranges from 1.7% to 4.7% depending on the spectral response of the device. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A study on the prevalence of the faecal carriage of Verocytotoxin (VT)-producing Escherichia coli (VTEC) O157 and on the rate of carcass contamination was carried out on feedlot cattle and dairy cows at slaughter in northern Italy. Between April 1998 and January 1999, 12 sampling visits were performed on different days in seven different slaughterhouses. At each visit, 5-12 animals consecutively slaughtered were selected. From each animal, faeces were collected from the rectum immediately after slaughter and surface swabs were taken from the leg region and the diaphragmatic insertion of the carcass. All samples were examined for the presence of VTEC O157 using an immunomagnetic separation technique. A total of 100 animals coming from 60 different farms were examined. In total, VTEC O157 was isolated from the intestinal content of 17, and from the carcasses of 12 of the 100 animals examined. In particular, VTEC O157 was recovered from six (35.3%) out of the 17 carcasses from which the organism had previously been isolated from rectal content and from six (7.3%) of the 82 carcasses of the stool-negative cattle. In seven carcasses, VTEC O157 was isolated from the leg area, in two carcasses from the diaphragmatic area, and in three carcasses from both areas. Major differences in the prevalence of VTEC O157 were observed in the different groups of cattle sampled. In 7 of the 12 sampling visits, all the specimens examined were negative, while 16 of the 17 positive stool samples and 11 of the 12 positive carcass swabs were collected during three of the visits, performed in June in three different abattoirs. In these three visits, the ratios between the percentage of animals carrying VTEC O157 in the stools and the percentage of contaminated carcasses were 0.33, 0.57, and 1.66, respectively; thus, confirming that slaughter practices can largely influence the rate of carcass contamination. Phage typing and PFGE analysis of VTEC O157 isolated from samples collected at the same visit suggested that both auto- and cross-contamination occurred.  相似文献

Migraine is a common brain-disorder that affects 15% of the population. Converging evidence shows that migraine is associated with gastrointestinal disorders. However, the mechanisms underlying the interaction between the gut and brain in patients with migraine are not clear. In this study, we evaluated the role of the short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) as sodium propionate (SP) and sodium butyrate (SB) on microbiota profile and intestinal permeability in a mouse model of migraine induced by nitroglycerine (NTG). The mice were orally administered SB and SP at the dose of 10, 30 and 100 mg/kg, 5 min after NTG intraperitoneal injections. Behavioral tests were used to evaluate migraine-like pain. Histological and molecular analyses were performed on the intestine. The composition of the intestinal microbiota was extracted from frozen fecal samples and sequenced with an Illumina MiSeq System. Our results demonstrated that the SP and SB treatments attenuated hyperalgesia and pain following NTG injection. Moreover, SP and SB reduced histological damage in the intestine and restored intestinal permeability and the intestinal microbiota profile. These results provide corroborating evidence that SB and SP exert a protective effect on central sensitization induced by NTG through a modulation of intestinal microbiota, suggesting the potential application of SCFAs as novel supportive therapies for intestinal disfunction associated with migraine.  相似文献

A prospective trial of videothoracoscopy was conducted at an urban trauma center between February 1992 and February 1993 to determine the efficiency of this less invasive method of evaluation and treatment. Twenty-four consecutive patients with chest trauma (penetrating, n = 22; blunt, n = 2) were examined thoracoscopically for clotted hemothorax that otherwise would have been treated with thoracotomy (n = 9), suspected diaphragmatic injury (n = 10), and continued bleeding (n = 5). To ensure maximal exposure, general anesthesia with a double-lumen endotracheal tube was used in each patient. Clotted hemothorax was successfully evacuated in eight of nine patients (89%). Diaphragmatic laceration was suspected in 10 patients (2 abnormal chest radiographs, 8 proximity penetrating wounds) and confirmed thoracoscopically in 5. In four patients, diaphragmatic lacerations were successfully repaired with thoracoscopic techniques. Five patients underwent thoracoscopy for continued hemorrhage (greater than 1,500 mL per 24 hours) after tube thoracostomy. Intercostal artery injury was confirmed in all patients, and diathermy provided hemostasis in three patients without thoracotomy. No complications occurred. These data suggest the following: (1) Videothoracoscopy is an accurate, safe, and minimally invasive method for the assessment of diaphragmatic injuries, control of continued chest wall bleeding, and early evacuation of clotted hemothorax. (2) This technique should be used more frequently in patients with thoracic trauma. (3) Technical advances may expand the therapeutic role of thoracoscopy.  相似文献
