The distribution of lithium in V2O5/V lower oxide duplex thin films prepared by thermal oxidation of V metal was analysed by XPS and ToF-SIMS after intercalation at 2.8 V versus Li/Li+ and de-intercalation at 3.8 V following cycling between 3.8 and 2.8 V in 1 M LiClO4-PC. XPS analysis of the intercalated thin film evidenced a partial reduction (43 at.% V4+) of the V2O5 surface, the modification of its electronic structure and the presence of Li, consistent with the formation of the δ-LixV2O5 (0.9 ≤ x ≤ 1) phase. The Li in-depth distribution measured by ToF-SIMS shows a maximum in the outer layer of V2O5, but Li is also found at the oxide film/metal substrate interface indicating its diffusion across the inner layer of V lower oxides. The analyses performed after de-intercalation on the samples cycled 12, 120 and 300 times reveal the effect of aging on the trapping of lithium. A significant reduction (17-22 at.% V4+) of the V2O5 surface was measured after 300 cycles. The Li in-depth distribution shows a maximum at the interface between the outer layer of V2O5 and the inner layer of lower oxides. Aging favours the accumulation of lithium at this interface with a resulting enlarged distribution enriching the sub-surface of the outer layer of V2O5 and the inner layer of lower oxides after 300 cycles. Lithium is also found, but in smaller quantities, at the oxide film/metal substrate interface. Measurements performed in the non-electrochemically treated surface areas of the de-intercalated samples revealed the same type of modifications, evidencing the diffusion of lithium along the interfaces where it is trapped.  相似文献

A dietary rosemary extract (RE) was tested to extend the shelf life of raw lamb meat. Lambs were supplemented with 0.6 mg kg−1 RE during fattening (from 13 to 25 kg live weight). Meat spoilage (total viable counts, psycrophilic bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae, molds and yeasts), TBARS, CIE L*a*b* color and the sensory traits of lamb cuts were analyzed on days 0, 7, 14 or 21 under retail display conditions (70/30 O2/CO2 atmosphere, 2 °C temperature and 1600 lx lighting). Supplementation of the lamb diet with RE was effective (P < 0.05) in prolonging the time chilled-packed lamb cuts could be kept under retail display conditions. Dietary rosemary clearly inhibited lipid oxidation and rancidity, and was moderately efficient in preventing sensory deterioration and microbial spoilage. Although the results concerning meat preservation were limited, the dietary use of rosemary extracts in lambs seems to be promising as a nutritional strategy for improving meat quality.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Chitosan (AC) and five hydroalcoholic extracts from Lithospermum erythrorhizon (SE), Rheum palmatum (RE), Thymus vulgaris (AT), Lippia citriodora (PLX) and a mixture of Rosmarinus officinalis, Salvia lavandulifolia and Thymus mastichina (LA) were tested for antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi using two broth dilution methods. The effects of adding single extracts on naturally occurring micro‐organisms and sensory qualities of raw tomato juice were also evaluated. RESULTS: SE extract exhibited the strongest activity, with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 100–400 µg mL?1 for Gram‐positive and 1600–3200 µg mL?1 for Gram‐negative bacteria. Enterobacter aerogenes showed the greatest susceptibility to AC (MIC 1600 µg mL?1). Lethal effects of extracts and AC were achieved at a minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC)/MIC ratio of 2 in 88% of assays. SE and RE extracts and AC also exhibited antifungal effect against yeasts, but they had no activity on filamentous fungi. Control and 100 mg L?1 SE‐added tomato juices did not differ in acceptance, but this SE concentration was not effective in the control of microbial load throughout cold storage. CONCLUSION: Results confirm the antimicrobial potential of the plant extracts, but additional research is needed until the agents responsible for the activities have been determined in order to use them as natural constituents of multiple‐barrier food preservation systems. To ensure delivery of safe foods to consumers, withdrawal times for drugs must be respected according to the maximum residual limits established by regulatory agencies. Because of availability and price, feather meal is currently incorporated into animal feed as a protein source for farm species. Few data are available on residual drugs in feathers from treated animals. A depletion study was performed with laying hens treated intramuscularly with 5% enrofloxacin (Enromic) at 10 mg/kg body weight over 3 days. Thirty-three birds were treated and slaughtered at different times between 6 and 216 h after treatment; and samples of muscle plus skin, liver, kidney, and feathers were collected. High-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a tandem mass spectrometry method was validated before sample analysis to determine the decision limit, detection capability, recovery, and precision. Liver was the edible tissue with the slowest drug depletion. A withdrawal time of 6 days was calculated based on European Union maximum residual limits (100 microg/kg). A withdrawal time of 9 days was calculated based on Japan maximum residual limits (10 microg/kg). Enrofloxacin plus ciprofloxacin concentrations in feathers remained high through all sampling periods. Thus, feathers from treated animals should not be fed to food-producing animals.  相似文献

A new assay was designed to measure the release of omega-3 acids [eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)] from the hydrolysis of sardine oil by lipases immobilized inside porous supports. A biphasic system was used containing the fish oil dissolved in the organic phase and the immobilized lipase suspended in the aqueous phase. The assay was optimized by using a very active derivative of Rhizomucor miehei lipase (RML) adsorbed onto octyl-Sepharose. Standard reaction conditions were: (a) an organic phase composed by 30/70 (v:v) of oil in cyclohexane, (b) an aqueous phase containing 50 mM methyl-cyclodextrin in 10 mM Tris buffer at pH 7.0. The whole reaction system was incubated at 25 °C. Under these conditions, up to 2% of the oil is partitioned into the aqueous phase and most of the 95% of released acids were partitioned into the organic phase. The organic phase was analyzed by RP-HPLC (UV detection at 215 nm) and even very low concentrations (e.g., 0.05 mM) of released omega-3 fatty acid could be detected with a precision higher than 99%. Three different lipases adsorbed on octyl-Sepharose were compared: Candida antarctica lipase-fraction B (CALB), Thermomyces lanuginosa lipase (TLL) and RML. The three enzyme derivatives were very active. However, most active and selective towards polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) versus oleic plus palmitic acids (a fourfold factor) was CALB. On the other hand, the most selective derivatives towards EPA versus DHA (a 4.5-fold factor) were TLL and RML derivatives.  相似文献

Magnetite nanoparticles were synthesized by electrocrystallization in the presence of thiourea or sodium butanoate as an organic stabilizer. The synthesis was performed in a thermostatic electrochemical cell containing two iron electrodes with an aqueous solution of sodium sulfate as electrolyte. The effects of organic concentration, applied potential and growth temperature on particle size, morphology, structure and magnetic properties were investigated. The magnetite nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, magnetometry and Mössbauer spectrometry. When the synthesis is performed in the presence of sodium butanoate at 60 °C, a paramagnetic ferric salt is obtained as a second phase; it is possible to avoid formation of this phase, increase the specific magnetization and improve the structure of the oxide particles by tuning the growth conditions. Room-temperature magnetization values range from 45 to 90 Am2kg−1, depending on the particle size, type of surfactant and synthesis conditions. Mössbauer spectra, which were recorded at 290 K for all the samples, are typical of nonstoichiometric Fe3−δO4, with a small excess of Fe3+, 0.05 ≤ δ ≤ 0.15.  相似文献

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common relapsing inflammatory skin disorder characterized by immune-mediated inflammation and epidermal barrier dysfunction. The pathogenesis of AD is multifactorial and has not been fully elucidated to date. This study aimed to evaluate whether serum IgG from adult AD patients could modulate the thymic maturation of IL-22-producing T cells and CLA+ T cells of non-atopic infants. Given that miRNAs regulate immune response genes, we evaluated whether miRNA expression is also altered in cultured thymocytes. Thymocytes were cultured with purified IgG from AD patients or control conditions (mock, Intravenous-IgG (IVIg), non-atopic IgG, or atopic non-AD IgG). Using flow cytometry analysis, we assessed the expression of CLA and intracellular levels of IL-4, IFN-γ, and IL-22 on double-positive T cells (DP T), CD4 T cells, or CD8 T cells. We also investigated the frequency of IgG isotypes and their direct interaction with the thymic T cells membrane. The miRNA profiles were evaluated by the Illumina small RNA-seq approach. MiRNA target gene prediction and enrichment analyses were performed using bioinformatics. Increased frequencies of IL-22 and CLA+ producing CD4+ T cells cultured with IgG of AD patients was seen in non-atopic infant thymocytes compared to all control conditions. No alterations were observed in the frequency of IgG isotypes among evaluated IgG pools. Evidence for a direct interaction between IgG and thymic DP T, CD4 T, and CD8 T cells is presented. The small RNA-seq analysis identified ten mature miRNAs that were modulated by AD IgG compared to mock condition (miR-181b-5p, hsa-miR-130b-3p, hsa-miR-26a-5p, hsa-miR-4497, has-miR-146a, hsa-let-7i-5p, hsa-miR-342-3p, has-miR-148a-3p, has-miR-92a and has-miR-4492). The prediction of the targetome of the seven dysregulated miRNAs between AD and mock control revealed 122 putative targets, and functional and pathway enrichment analyses were performed. Our results enhance our understanding of the mechanism by which IgG can collaborate in thymic T cells in the setting of infant AD.  相似文献

The inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor type 1 (ITPR1) gene encodes an InsP3-gated calcium channel that modulates intracellular Ca2+ release and is particularly expressed in cerebellar Purkinje cells. Pathogenic variants in the ITPR1 gene are associated with different types of autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxia: SCA15 (adult onset), SCA29 (early-onset), and Gillespie syndrome. Cerebellar atrophy/hypoplasia is invariably detected, but a recognizable neuroradiological pattern has not been identified yet. With the aim of describing ITPR1-related neuroimaging findings, the brain MRI of 14 patients with ITPR1 variants (11 SCA29, 1 SCA15, and 2 Gillespie) were reviewed by expert neuroradiologists. To further evaluate the role of superior vermian and hemispheric cerebellar atrophy as a clue for the diagnosis of ITPR1-related conditions, the ITPR1 gene was sequenced in 5 patients with similar MRI pattern, detecting pathogenic variants in 4 of them. Considering the whole cohort, a distinctive neuroradiological pattern consisting in superior vermian and hemispheric cerebellar atrophy was identified in 83% patients with causative ITPR1 variants, suggesting this MRI finding could represent a hallmark for ITPR1-related disorders.  相似文献
