Structural behavior of miktoarm star polymers comprising poly(butyl acrylate) (PBA) and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) arms was studied by means of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Wide Angle X-Ray Scattering (WAXS), Polarized Optical Microscopy (POM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) methods. The aim of this study was to correlate changes in the composition of the arms of the PBA/PEO miktoarm star polymers with their structures. As a consequence of increasing PBA content, the decrease in crystallinity of the studied PBA/PEO heteroarm star copolymers was observed. Regardless of the copolymer composition, fraction of oxyethylene units in the crystalline PEO phase was similar in all investigated systems. The POM images showed spherulitic morphology of the materials having low PBA content, while an increase in PBA arms fraction leads to the formation of less ordered structures. The analysis of FTIR vibrational spectrum indicates helical conformation of PEO chains in the crystalline phase. Isothermal crystallization studies carried out using the FTIR technique suggest the existence of isolated domains in the nanoscopic scale of investigated materials.  相似文献

The cell type-, organ-, and species-specific expression of the Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are well described, but little is known about the respective expression profiles of their accessory molecules. We therefore determined the mRNA expression levels of LBP, MD2, CD36, CD14, granulin, HMGB1, LL37, GRP94, UNC93b1, TRIL, PRAT4A, AP3B1, AEP and the respective TLRs in human and mouse solid organs. Humans and mice displayed significant differences between their respective mRNA expression patterns of these factors. In addition, the expression profiles in transient tissue inflammation upon renal ischemia-reperfusion injury, in spleens and kidneys from mice with lupus-like systemic autoimmunity, and in progressive tissue fibrosis upon unilateral ureteral obstruction were studied. Several TLR co-factors were specifically regulated during the different phases of these disease entities, suggesting a functional involvement in the disease process. Thus, the organ- and species-specific expression patterns need to be considered in the design and interpretation of studies related to TLR-mediated innate immunity, which seems to be involved in the tissue injury phase, in the phase of tissue regeneration, and in progressive tissue remodelling.  相似文献

Our goal is to obtain a new food supplement — a chemopreventive preparation derived from selenium (Se)-enriched Lentinula edodes mycelium. In the present study the bioavailability of selenium from Se-enriched mycelium preparations was tested in vitro and in vivo. Three different preparations of selenated mycelium were compared: dried mycelium, lyophilized mycelium, and lyophilized-autolyzed mycelium. In vitro, estimated Se bioavailabilities were 60%, 82%, and 98%, respectively. In vivo bioavailability was determined in rats. As reference, sodium selenite and Se yeast formulations were used at an Se-equivalent dose. The pharmacokinetic data for tested mycelial preparations suggest a rapid but incomplete Se absorption, and rapid elimination, without risk of accumulation. The speciation of selenium in Se-enriched mycelial cultures was carried out by specific oxido-reduction reactions. For tested mycelium the main part of Se was in the 0 and IV oxidation states in inorganic form or combined in a lipid or carbohydrate structure, about 47% was in the –II state in Se-amino acids or in other undefined water- or alcohol soluble organic compounds. Differences in pharmacokinetic data for Se yeast and L. edodes mycelial formulations probably arise from differences in Se speciation. Our data suggest that formulations of selenized Lentinula edodes mycelium could be used in chemoprevention as food supplements.  相似文献

Due to the limited number of organ donors, 3D printing of organs is a promising technique. Tissue engineering is increasingly using xenogeneic material for this purpose. This study was aimed at assessing the safety of decellularized porcine pancreas, together with the analysis of the risk of an undesirable immune response. We tested eight variants of the decellularization process. We determined the following impacts: rinsing agents (PBS/NH3·H2O), temperature conditions (4 °C/24 °C), and the grinding method of native material (ground/cut). To assess the quality of the extracellular matrix after the completed decellularization process, analyses of the following were performed: DNA concentration, fat content, microscopic evaluation, proteolysis, material cytotoxicity, and most importantly, the Triton X-100 content. Our analyses showed that we obtained a product with an extremely low detergent content with negligible residual DNA content. The obtained results confirmed the performed histological and immuno-fluorescence staining. Moreover, the TEM microscopic analysis proved that the correct collagen structure was preserved after the decellularization process. Based on the obtained results, we chose the most favorable variant in terms of quality and biology. The method we chose is an effective and safe method that gives a chance for the development of transplant and regenerative medicine.  相似文献

A method of determination of temperature-dependent electrical resistivity for metals and alloys of high-melting points at high temperatures is presented. It is based on the computer simulation of wire heating by direct current and basic electrical measurements. The authors present new results for 25Re75W and 47.5Re52.5Mo alloys along with the results of test measurements for tungsten. Electrical resistivity for tungsten obtained with presented method is in good agreement with well known data for the metal.  相似文献

In this paper, an approach towards realising novel multifunctional polymer composites is presented. A series of structural capacitor materials made from carbon fibre reinforced polymers have been developed, manufactured and tested. The structural capacitor materials were made from carbon fibre epoxy pre-preg woven laminae separated by a paper or polymer film dielectric separator. The structural capacitor multifunctional performance was characterised measuring capacitance, dielectric strength and interlaminar shear strength. The developed structural CFRP capacitor designs employing polymer film dielectrics (PA, PC and PET) offer remarkable multifunctional potential.  相似文献

Palladium colloidal nanoparticles with an average size of approximately 2.4 nm have been incorporated into mesoporous inorganic thin films following a multistep approach. This involves the deposition of mesoporous titania thin films with a thickness of 200 nm by spin-coating on titanium plates with a superhydrophilic titania outer layer and activation by calcination in a vacuum furnace at 573 K. Nanoparticles have been confined within the porous titania network by dip-coating noble metal suspensions onto these mesoporous thin films. Finally, the resulting nanoconfined systems were used as substrates for the growth of oriented carbon nanotubes (CNTs) using plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition at 923 K in order to enhance their surface area. These CNTs were tested in the hydrogenation of phenylacetylene by hydrogen in a batch reactor. The initial reaction rate observed on a CNT/TiO2 structured catalyst was considerably higher than that on 1 wt% Pd/TiO2 thin films.  相似文献

Isosymmetric structural phase transition (IPT, type 0), in which there are no changes in the occupation of Wyckoff positions, the number of atoms in the unit cell, and the space group symmetry, is relatively uncommon. Chlorothiazide, a diuretic agent with a secondary function as an antihypertensive, has been proven to undergo pressure-induced IPT of Form I to Form II at 4.2 GPa. For that reason, it has been chosen as a model compound in this study to determine if IPT can be predicted in silico using periodic DFT calculations. The transformation of Form II into Form I, occurring under decompression, was observed in geometry optimization calculations. However, the reverse transition was not detected, although the calculated differences in the DFT energies and thermodynamic parameters indicated that Form II should be more stable at increased pressure. Finally, the IPT was successfully simulated using ab initio molecular dynamics calculations.  相似文献
