The electrochemical route is a promising and environmentally friendly technique for fabrication of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) due to mild synthesis condition, short time for crystal growth and ease of scale up. A microstructure Cu3(BTC)2 MOF was synthesized through electrochemical path and successfully employed for CO2 and CH4 adsorption. Characterization and structural investigation of the MOF was carried out by XRD, FE-SEM, TGA, FTIR and BET analyses. The highest amount of carbon dioxide and methane sorption was 26.89 and 6.63 wt%, respectively, at 298 K. The heat of adsorption for CO2 decreased monotonically, while an opposite trend was observed for CH4. The results also revealed that the selectivity of the developed MOF towards CO2 over CH4 enhanced with increase of pressure and composition of carbon dioxide component as predicted by the ideal adsorption solution theory (IAST). The regeneration of as-synthesized MOF was also studied in six consecutive cycles and no considerable reduction in CO2 adsorption capacity was observed.  相似文献

A literature review on preparation of carbon molecular sieve (CMS) from lignocellulosic biomass is presented. The effect of various operation parameters such as pyrolytic temperature, flow rate of the carbonizing agent and time of pyrolysis on the carbonization of the lignocellulosic biomass as a carbon precursor was reviewed. Various physical and chemical processes for the activation of the biomass-based char and their effects on textural properties of the activated char were discussed. Conversion of activated chars to CMS as the final stage of the preparation process through different techniques of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and controlled pyrolysis was assessed. Survey of literature revealed that production of CMS with BET surface area of 1247 m2/g and micropore volume of 0.51 cm3/g, under appropriate conditions has been reported. Also, maximum selectivity of 7.6 and 400 for separation of O2/N2 and CO2/CH4 was devoted to palm shell and coconut shell-based CMS, respectively.  相似文献

There are two primary laws including the first and second laws of thermodynamics that should be used to assess a process. Generally, only the first law of thermodynamics is investigated in numerical solutions, so it is possible to exist some numerical results that do not satisfy the second law of thermodynamics because of numerical errors. To achieve reliable numerical outcomes, it is better to apply two indexes of HEAT BALANCE ERROR and VIRTUAL ENTROPY GENERATION, which come from the second law of thermodynamics. In other words, an approach to develop computational fluid dynamics investigations is to take second law of thermodynamics into consideration. In this study, two different models including counterflow double‐pipe heat exchanger and single‐pipe with constant wall temperature are simulated in various cases with different efficiencies and temperature ratios. It is found that 46 cases of total 523 double‐pipe models and 24 cases of total 402 simulations of single‐pipe models had unacceptable results regarding to two mentioned criteria. The results revealed that it is less likely to gain unreliable results in smaller efficiency and lower inlet temperature for double‐pipe heat exchanger and single‐pipe respectively.  相似文献

A novel potentiometric sensor based on a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for determination of promethazine (PMZ) was prepared. Promethazine MIP particles were prepared and dispersed in 2-nitrophenyloctyl ether and then embedded in a polyvinyl chloride matrix. The effect of the monomers type on the sensor performance was investigated, and an important role for this parameter was shown. It was shown that the membrane electrode with a MIP prepared by vinylbenzene and divinylbenzene had a better performance in comparison to membrane electrodes containing MIPs prepared with methacrylic acid-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate or vinylbenzene-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate. After optimization, the membrane electrode constructed with a MIP of vinylbenzene-divinylbenzene exhibited a Nernstian response (31.2 ± 1.0 mV decade−1) over a wide concentration range, from 5.0 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−1 M, with a low detection limit of 1.0 × 10−7 M and a response time of ∼50 s. The method has the requisite accuracy, sensitivity and precision to assay PMZ in syrup samples and biological fluids.  相似文献

This paper aims to develop an integrated thermal lattice Boltzmann model and cellular automata to investigate the effects of different temperatures and velocities on biofilm growth in a microbioreactor. Compared with previous studies this model accounted for direct effects of transient temperature on biofilm growth and indirect effects caused by changes of fluid properties. In addition, the algorithms have been improved on variations in solid boundary conditions, detachment and extra mass transport. Results showed that temperature affected both maximum biofilm concentration and growth rate. An increase of 10–75% in biofilm concentration was observed roughly due to increases in temperature. The time required to reach maximum concentration decreased from 30 days at a low temperature to 5 days at a high temperature. This demonstrates the capability of the present model to simulate biofilm behavior in the microbioreactor and its potential industrial and clinical applications.  相似文献

Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) has the potential to recover compounds from a range of solid matrices if a fully continuous process can be commercialized. This paper presents the development of a hydrodynamic model for a continuous pilot scale SFE process, involving countercurrent flow of a slurry and a supercritical fluid. The model developed is based on first principles and focuses on predicting pressure and slurry level within the extraction vessel. The model was validated using pilot scale system data. Using adjusted parameters, the model accurately predicted steady state pressure and provided a good estimate of slurry level.  相似文献
