Internet of Things (IoT) refers to uniquely identifiable entities. Its vision is the world of connected objects. Due to its connected nature the data produced by IoT is being used for different purposes. Since IoT generates huge amount of data, we need some scalable storage to store and compute the data sensed from the sensors. To overcome this issue, we need the integration of cloud and IoT, so that the data might be stored and computed in a scalable environment. Harmonization of IoT in Cloud might be a novel solution in this regard. IoT devices will interact with each other using Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP). In this paper, we have implemented harmonizing IoT in Cloud. We have used CoAP to get things connected to each other through the Internet. For the implementation we have used two sensors, fire detector and the sensor attached with the door which is responsible for opening it. Thus our implementation will be storing and retrieving the sensed data from the cloud. We have also compared our implementation with different parameters. The comparison shows that our implementation significantly improves the performance compared to the existing system.
We present a method to determine the average device channel temperature of AlGaN/GaN metal–oxide–semiconductor heterostructure field effect transistors (MOSHFETs) in the time domain under continuous wave (CW) and periodic-pulsed RF (radiation frequency) operational conditions. The temporal profiles of microwave output power densities of GaN MOSHFETs were measured at 2 GHz under such conditions and used for determination of the average channel temperature. The measurement technique in this work is also being utilized to determine the thermal time constant of the devices. Analytical temporal solutions of temperature profile in MOSHFETs are provided to support the method. The analytical solutions can also apply to generic field effect transistors (FETs) with an arbitrary form of time-dependent heat input at the top surface of the wafer. It is found that the average channel temperature of GaN MOSHFETs on a 300 μm sapphire substrate with the output power of 10 W/mm can be over 400 °C in the CW mode while the average channel temperature of GaN MOSHFETs on a SiC substrate with the same thickness only reaches 50 °C under the same condition. The highest average channel temperature in a pulsed RF mode will vary with respect to the duty cycle of the pulse and type of the substrate. 相似文献
Deep-level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) measurements were carried out on low-doped n-silicon before and after irradiation with 5.48 MeV α particles at room temperature with a fluence of 1010α particles/cm2. The DLTS measurements on the samples identified three electron levels E1, E2 and E3 before irradiation. The deep-levels characteristic studies include emission rate signatures, activation energies, defect concentrations and capture cross sections. It was found that all pre-existing defects decreased their amplitudes during irradiation. The decrease in activation energy of level E3 and noticeable suppression of level E1 was also observed after irradiation. It was clearly seen that the composite peak E3 (combination of E2 and E3) was successfully resolved after irradiating with α particles. α-irradiation is seen to lead a significant suppression of the iron interstitial defect, and without causing any change in its room temperature annealing characteristics. 相似文献
An organic thin-film transistor (OTFTs) having OTS/SiO2 bilayer gate insulator and MoO3/Al electrode configuration between gate insulator and source–drain (S–D) electrodes has been investigated. Thermally grown SiO2 layer is used as the OTFT gate dielectric and copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) for an active layer. We have found that using silane coupling agents, octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) on SiO2, surface energy of SiO2 gate dielectric is reduced; consequently, the device performance has been improved significantly. This OTS/SiO2 bilayer gate insulator configuration increases the field-effect mobility, reduces the threshold voltage and improves the on/off ratios simultaneously. The device with MoO3/Al electrode has similar source–drain current (IDS) compared to the device with Au electrode at same gate voltage. Our results indicate that using double-layer of insulator and modified electrode is an effective way to improve OTFT performance. 相似文献
We propose a novel Sorted Switching Median Filter (i.e. SSMF) for effectively denoising extremely corrupted images while preserving the image details. The center pixel is considered as “uncorrupted” or “corrupted” noise in the detecting stage. The corrupted pixels that possess more noise-free surroundings will have higher processing priority in the SSMF sorting and filtering stages to rescue the heavily noisy neighbors. Five noise models are considered to assess the performance of the proposed SSMF algorithm. Several extensive simulation results conducted on both grayscale and color images with a wide range (from 10% to 90%) of noise corruption clearly show that the proposed SSMF substantially outperforms all other existing median-based filters. 相似文献
In communication industry one of the most rapidly growing area is wireless technology and its applications. The efficient access to radio spectrum is a requirement to make this communication feasible for the users that are running multimedia applications and establishing real-time connections on an already overcrowded spectrum. In recent times cognitive radios (CR) are becoming the prime candidates for improved utilization of available spectrum. The unlicensed secondary users share the spectrum with primary licensed user in such manners that the interference at the primary user does not increase from a predefined threshold. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to address the power control problem for CR networks. The proposed solution models the wireless system with a non-cooperative game, in which each player maximize its utility in a competitive environment. The simulation results shows that the proposed algorithm improves the performance of the network in terms of high SINR and low power consumption.
The evolving network technologies aim at meeting the envisioned communication demands of future smart cities and applications. Although software-defined networking (SDN) enables flexible network control, its applicability to mobile networks is still in its infancy. When it comes to introducing the SDN vision to mobile networks, handling of wireless events and mobility management operations stand out as major challenges. In this paper, we study the scalability issues of SDNized wireless networks, specifically those relevant to mobility management. We design and implement different mobility management approaches in SDNized wireless networks and investigate the impact of various system variables on the overall handover delays. We also study the improvements in handover delays: (i) when a proposed proactive mobility management algorithm is implemented; (ii) when the controller delegates partial control of mobility management to the forwarding entities. For the implementation of the proposed approaches on the OpenFlow network, the paper also suggests potential extensions to the OpenFlow protocol. The contributed approaches are validated on a full-scale demonstrator, with results showing that proactive outperforms reactive and that the delegated control approach performs better than proactive for smaller topology sizes. Furthermore, a proposal for LTE X2-specific control delegation is discussed as a use case. 相似文献
The evolution of the society is characterized by an increasing flow of information from things to the internet. Sensors have become the cornerstone of the internet‐of‐everything as they track various parameters in the society and send them to the cloud for analysis, forecast, or learning. With the many parameters to sense, sensors are becoming complex and difficult to manufacture. To reduce the complexity of manufacturing, one can instead create advanced functional materials that react to multiple stimuli. To this end, conducting polymer aerogels are promising materials as they combine elasticity and sensitivity to pressure and temperature. However, the challenge is to read independently pressure and temperature output signals without cross‐talk. Here, a strategy to fully decouple temperature and pressure reading in a dual‐parameter sensor based on thermoelectric polymer aerogels is demonstrated. It is found that aerogels made of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) can display properties of semiconductors lying at the transition between insulator and semimetal upon exposure to high boiling point polar solvents, such as dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). Importantly, because of the temperature‐independent charge transport observed for DMSO‐treated PEDOT‐based aerogel, a decoupled pressure and temperature sensing can be achieved without cross‐talk in the dual‐parameter sensor devices. 相似文献
Poly(vinylidenefluoride‐co‐trifluoroethylene) (P(VDF‐TrFE)), as a ferroelectric polymer, offers great promise for energy harvesting for flexible and wearable applications. Here, this paper shows that the choice of solvent used to dissolve the polymer significantly influences its properties in terms of energy harvesting. Indeed, the P(VDF‐TrFE) prepared using a high dipole moment solvent has higher piezoelectric and pyroelectric coefficients and triboelectric property. Such improvements are the result of higher crystallinity and better dipole alignment of the polymer prepared using a higher dipole moment solvent. Finite element method simulations confirm that the higher dipole moment results in higher piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and triboelectric potential distributions. Furthermore, P(VDF‐TrFE)‐based piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and triboelectric nanogenerators (NGs) experimentally validate that the higher dipole moment solvent significantly enhances the power output performance of the NGs; the improvement is about 24% and 82% in output voltage and current, respectively, for piezoelectric NG; about 40% and 35% in output voltage and current, respectively, for pyroelectric NG; and about 65% and 75% in output voltage and current for triboelectric NG. In brief, the approach of using a high dipole moment solvent is very promising for high output P(VDF‐TrFE)‐based wearable NGs. 相似文献
