Amidohydroxylated polyester with biophotoactivity along with retarding alkali hydrolysis through in situ synthesis of Cu/Cu2O nanoparticles using diethanolamine 下载免费PDF全文
In this research, polyester fabric was modified through in situ synthesis of Cu/Cu2O nanoparticles (NPs) in one single step processing using diethanolamine. This introduced amide and hydroxyl active groups on the polyester surface, adjusted pH, aminolyzed, and improved the surface activity of polyester. Copper sulfate was used as precursor, sodium hypophosphite as a reducing agent and polyvinylpyrrolidone as a stabilizer in a chemical reduction route at boil as a facile and cost‐effective approach. The central composite design was also utilized to optimize the processing conditions and study the effect of each variables on the weight gain, color change, and wettability of the treated fabrics. FESEM and mapping, EDX, XRD, and FTIR analysis confirmed effective assembling of Cu/Cu2O NPs on the amidohydroxylated polyester surface. The optimum treated fabric showed excellent antibacterial properties on both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. In addition, a very good photocatalytic activity towards degradation of methylene blue solution obtained after 24 h sunlight irradiation. Further, the hydrophilicity, mechanical properties and stability of the treated fabrics in concentrated sodium hydroxide improved through formation of amidohydroxyl active groups, amidoester cross‐linking and nanocross‐linking within polymeric chains through in situ synthesis of Cu/Cu2O. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Cationization of cellulose/polyamide on UV protection,bio‐activity,and electro‐conductivity of graphene oxide‐treated fabric 下载免费PDF全文
In this work, cationized cotton/nylon fabric was treated with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to produce highly conductive fabric. The fabric was cationized with 3‐chloro‐2‐hydroxy propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride to attract more anionic GO. The fabric was then treated with GO followed by reduction with sodium dithionite. The results of energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicated entire coverage of the fabric surface with rGO. The color of fabrics changed to gray‐black and the electrical resistance decreased to 0.6 × 103 Ω sq?1. The washing fastness was measured according to ISO 105‐CO5 for color change and also electrical resistance of the samples demonstrated well stability of rGO on the fabric surface. The antibacterial activities of the treated fabrics improved against Gram‐negative bacteria including Escherichia coli (84.8%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (96.4%) and also Gram‐positive bacteria consisting Staphylococcus aureus (100%) and Enterococcus faecalis (98.4%). Further, the treated fabrics indicated an excellent UV reflectance of 100%. Finally heating of the cationized rGO fabric at 220 °C displayed a lower electrical resistance of 0.5 × 103 Ω sq?1. The thermogravimetric analysis showed that heating has a slight effect on the dimensional thermal stability of the treated fabric as shrunk 2.43%. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. This paper deals with influence of chitosan nanoparticles (CNPs) loaded by tetracycline, as a drug, on the physico-mechanical and antibacterial properties as well as drug release behavior of poly(vinyl alcohol), PVA, hydrogels prepared by electron beam irradiation. The formation of spherical chitosan particles in nanoscale size prepared by an ionic gelation method was confirmed by FTIR and UV spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy analyses. The drug release kinetic studies from drug loaded chitosan nanoparticles (DLCNPs) at pH = 7.4 revealed a linear and steady release behavior over long period of time. The theoretical analysis of the swelling kinetic data, using Peppas’s model showed that the swelling kinetic is governed by Fickian diffusion for all the prepared hydrogels, however, the water diffusion coefficient, and therefore, the swelling content were lower for the hydrogels loaded with DLCNPs as compared to the ones with the neat drug. In agreement with these results, the hydrogels containing DLCNPs exhibited a more controlled drug release behavior with significantly stronger antibacterial activity. The tensile mechanical properties of the hydrogels not affected by the DLCNPs were found to be suitable for wound dressing applications. 相似文献

Conventional and gradient CoNiCrAlYSi coatings were produced by using low vacuum plasma spray and an additional step of diffusional over aluminizing (pack cementation) techniques on an Inconel-738 substrate. Hot corrosion of these coatings was investigated using Na2SO4–20wt%NaVO3 molten salt at 880?°C for 800?h. Hot corrosion rate was determined by measuring the weight gain of the specimens at regular intervals for a duration of 20?h. X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy and electron probe micro analysis techniques were used to determine the nature of phases, investigation of the thermally grown oxide, examination of the surface attack and determination of the elemental distribution. The gradient coating showed better performance by re-healing alumina scale due to its possession of more β phase as Al reservoir. Results indicated that pack cementation process caused an increase in amount of aluminum-rich β phase and better hot corrosion properties of gradient coatings owing to the Al enrichment in the outer layer and rapid formation of protective oxide on the surface. 相似文献

The objective of the present work is to show the influence of machining and anodizing processes on fatigue life of alloy 7010-T7451. Two different cutting conditions were employed to obtain two different initial surface roughnesses. Degreasing, pickling and anodizing were then carried out. In the as machined condition, surface roughness is clearly effective in reducing fatigue life in this material. As the surface roughness increases fatigue life decreases and this effect is found to be more pronounced in high cycle fatigue where major portion of fatigue life is consumed in nucleating the cracks. Effects of pre-treatments, like degreasing and pickling employed prior to anodizing, on fatigue life of the given alloy were also studied. Fatigue curves showed that pickling had negative impact on fatigue life of specimens while degreasing showed no change in fatigue life. The small decrease in fatigue life of anodized specimens as compare to pickled specimens is attributed to brittle nature and micro-cracking of the coating. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) examination revealed multi-site crack initiation for the pickled and anodized specimens. SEM examination also showed that pickling process attacked the grain boundaries and the inclusions present on the surface resulting in pits formation. These pits are of primary concern with respect to accelerated fatigue crack nucleation and subsequent anodized coating formation. 相似文献

LiFePO4 was synthesized using hydrothermal method and coated with different amounts of citric acid as carbon source.The samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM),surface area measurement—Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET),discharge capability,cyclic voltammetry(CV),and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The results show that the quality and thickness of the carbon coating on the surface of LiFePO4 particles are very important.The optimum carbon content(about 30 wt%)can lead to a more uniform carbon distribution.Electrochemical results show that the samples containing 20 wt%,30 wt%,40 wt%,and50 wt% carbon deliver a discharge capacity of 105,167,151,and 112 mAhg-1,respectively,at the rate of 0.1C.The increase of carbon content leads to the decrease of discharge capacity of LiFePO4/C,owing to the fact that excess carbon delays the diffusion of Li+ through the carbon layers during charge/discharge procedure.The LiFePO4/C with low carbon content exhibits poor electrochemical performance because of its low electrical conductivity.Therefore,the amount of carbon must be optimized in order to achieve excellent electrochemical performance of LiFePO4/C for its application in a lithium ion battery. 相似文献

The hybrid complex consist of molybdenylacetylacetonate complex covalently linked to a lacunary Keggin-type polyoxometalate, K8[SiW11O39] (POM), was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, SEM, XRD, diffuse reflectance UV–Vis and FT-IR spectroscopic methods. The hybrid complex, [MoO2(acac)–POM] (1), was used for alkene epoxidation with tert-BuOOH in 1,2-dichloroethane as solvent. The complex (1) can catalyze epoxidation of various olefins including non-activated terminal olefins. The effect of reaction parameters such as oxidant, solvent, and temperature on the epoxidation of cyclooctene was also investigated. Attempts have been made to use different amount of ground tire rubber (GTR) powder as a partial substitute for natural rubber (NR) in thermoplastic elastomer based on linear low‐density polyethylene (LLDPE, 60 wt%) and NR (40wt%). Maleic anhydride (MA) and dicumyl peroxide (DCP) were used, during melt mixing of the compound, to modify GTR and vulcanize the rubber phases of the blends. Morphology of the blends was studied by scanning electron microscopy and rheological behavior investigated through rheomechanical spectroscopy. Mechanical properties of the blends were also measured, and the effect of GTR concentration on properties was evaluated. Obtained results showed that modification of GTR with MA and using DCP in the blends containing GTR improves the bonding between GTR and matrix. This leads to a distinctive rheological behavior and enhances tensile strength and elongation at break compared to its corresponding simple blend. It can be said that using of MA and DCP during melt mixing of thermoplastic elastomers based on LLDPE/NR containing GTR, concludes to a better dispersion of GTR and formation of morphology similar to that of a dynamic vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer, which improves interfacial bonding between phases and causes a dramatically increase in mechanical properties. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
