Glycerin is an important by‐product in biodiesel production. To increase its quality to be suitable for use it in other operations, e.g., the pharmaceutical industry, it needs to be purified. Therefore, the purification of glycerin by liquid‐liquid extraction of methanol using different solvents was investigated. It was shown that, in terms of separation, petroleum ether was more effective than toluene and toluene was more effective than n‐butanol. In addition to the experimental investigations, the NRTL and UNIQUAC thermodynamic models were used to predict the compositions of ternary mixtures of glycerin + methanol + organic solvent in glycerin‐rich and organic solvent‐rich phases. The results showed the high accuracy of the presented models and their consistency with the measured data.  相似文献

This paper develops a relative output‐feedback–based solution to the containment control of linear heterogeneous multiagent systems. A distributed optimal control protocol is presented for the followers to not only assure that their outputs fall into the convex hull of the leaders' output but also optimizes their transient performance. The proposed optimal solution is composed of a feedback part, depending of the followers' state, and a feed‐forward part, depending on the convex hull of the leaders' state. To comply with most real‐world applications, the feedback and feed‐forward states are assumed to be unavailable and are estimated using two distributed observers. That is, a distributed observer is designed to measure each agent's states using only its relative output measurements and the information that it receives by its neighbors. Another adaptive distributed observer is designed, which uses exchange of information between followers over a communication network to estimate the convex hull of the leaders' state. The proposed observer relaxes the restrictive requirement of having access to the complete knowledge of the leaders' dynamics by all the followers. An off‐policy reinforcement learning algorithm on an actor‐critic structure is next developed to solve the optimal containment control problem online, using relative output measurements and without requiring the leaders' dynamics. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by numerical simulations.  相似文献

In this paper, a new SRAM cell with body‐bias actively controlled by a control circuit and word line is introduced to realize low‐power and high‐speed applications. The cell uses two word lines, which vary between positive and negative voltage levels to control the body bias of cell's transistors. In this design, using a peripheral control circuit with the least possible number of transistors, the access time is decreased and also a trade‐off between static and dynamic power consumption is provided. Compared to a conventional SRAM cell, the proposed cell reduces the static power consumption by 82% and improves the read performance by 40% and the write performance by 27%. Separation of particles from liquid in the large gravitational tanks is widely used in mining and industrial wastewater treatment process. Thickener is key unit in the operational processes of hydrometallurgy and is used to separate solid from liquid. In this study, population balance models were combined with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for modeling the tailing thickener. Parameters such as feed flow rate, flocculant dosage, inlet solid percent and feedwell were investigated. CFD was used to simulate the industrial tailing thickener with settled bed of 120 m diameter which is located in the Sarcheshmeh copper mine. Important factor of drag force that defines the rake torque of rotating paddles on the bed was also determined. Two phases turbulence model of Eulerian/Eulerian in accordance with turbulence model of k-ε was used in the steady-state. Also population balance model consists of 15 groups of particle sizes with Luo and Lehr kernel was used for aggregation/breakage kernel. The simulation results showed good agreement with the operational data.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel configuration of the cascaded multilevel inverters using series connection of new sub-multilevel basic blocks is presented. The basic structure of the proposed sub-multilevel inverter is made of three isolated batteries and eight unidirectional power switches. Hereby, by changing the polarity of one of such batteries and two power switches, two different modules of sub-multilevel inverters can be extracted that each of them is able to be incorporated into two different cascaded structures as the series basic blocks. Contemporary, to determine the suitable magnitudes of the integrated batteries, two different algorithms for each topology along with their relevant mathematical analysis have been also given. In this study, a complete comparison between the proposed topologies and several recently presented structures has been conducted. The compiled comparisons can prove the fact that both the proposed cascaded inverters are capable of generating a higher number of output voltage levels with less number of switching counts. Other advantages of these structures are reduction of voltage sources numbers, DC sources variety, value of total blocking voltage, and also conducting losses. In order to demonstrate the correct operation of the proposed structures and presented algorithms, some experimental results will be also shown.  相似文献

Two types of chromium catalysts bearing pyridine and amine based SNS ligands under the title of (pyridine-SNS-alkyl/CrCl3) and (amine-SNS-alkyl/CrCl3) were synthesized. Different thiolates such as octyl, pentyl, butyl, cyclohexyl and cyclopentyl thiolates were reacted with 2,6-pyridine-dimethylene-ditosylate (PMT)/THF solution at room temperature. Then, the purified pyridine-based SNS ligands (15) were reacted with CrCl3 (THF)3 to obtain the pyridine-SNS-alkyl/CrCl3 catalysts (610) in 50–70% yields. MMAO-activated pyridine-SNS-alkyl/CrCl3 catalysts were capable of oligomerizing ethylene. Statistical experimental design was conducted using the central composite design method and surface methodology to study of the effect of important parameters such as ethylene pressure, Al/Cr ratio, catalyst concentration and the reaction temperature on 1-C6 productivity of catalyst (7). A quadratic polynomial equation was developed to predict the 1-C6 productivity. Ethylene oligomerization using the catalyst (7) was lead to a optimized reaction conditions, including the ethylene pressure of 19.5 bar, the temperature of 58.2 °C, the MMAO co-catalyst, Al/Cr?=?841 and the catalyst concentration of 8.7 µmol. The catalytic properties for ethylene oligomerization are strongly affected by reaction temperature. The experimental results indicated the reasonable agreement with the predicted values. The transformation from ethylene trimerization to ethylenev polymerization of catalyst system (7) was occurred by exchanging the reaction pressure. Influence of ligand structure with different substitutions on sulphur atom on productivity and selectivity was investigated. 1-C6 with the high selectivity and productivity 4318 (g 1-C6/g Cr h) was obtained for catalyst (7). In the second part, 1-C6 was obtained with high selectivity and productivity around 141?×?103 (g 1-C6/g Cr h) for amine-based catalyst. All amine-based catalysts (1416) showed considerably higher catalytic activities compared to pyridine-based catalysts. According to the TGA analysis the thermal stability of pyridine-based catalysts was found to be higher than the amine-based catalysts.

The influence of neodymium and nickel substitution on structural and dielectric parameters was investigated in strontium-barium X-type hexagonal ferrites having composition SrBaCu2?xNixNdyFe28?yO46 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1 and y = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.1). Sol-gel method was employed for synthesizing these hexagonal ferrites. The XRD plots of all studied materials which were annealed at 1250 °C show single phase characteristics. Lattice parameter ‘c’ increased as a consequence of larger radius of rare earth ion (Nd3+) as compared to (Fe3+), while lattice parameter ‘a’ showed very small variation. The cell volume was obtained in the range 2508.32–2523.75 (Å3). The inclusion of Nd-Ni also affected X-ray density, bulk density and porosity. The FTIR spectroscopy indicated the particular absorption peaks of hexagonal ferrites and it was performed in the range of 500–700 cm?1. On account of Nd-Ni doping, the dielectric constant, dielectric loss and AC-conductivity showed decreasing trend. The occupancy of Nd3+ ions at octahedral site impedes the valence alternation of Fe3+; therefore there was decrease in dielectric permittivity. Ac conductivity has been decreased from 9.14 to 6.49 (Ω cm)?1 at frequency of 2.7 GHz. The Cole-Cole plots of synthesized materials noticeably revealed grain boundary contribution. The appearance of single semi-circle in impedance Cole-Cole graphs confirms the exceptional role of grain boundaries in the conduction process. The considerably lower dielectric parameters of investigated nano X-type ferrites propose their feasibility for high-frequency applications (phase shifters, dielectric resonators, stealth technology etc).  相似文献
