In this approach we studied the glycaemia levels in 20 healthy young volunteers (26 ± 2 years), before and after a 30‐day intake of 50 mL of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). We selected an oil rich in phenolic compounds (523 mg/L) with a high content of secoiridoidic derivatives (over 94.5%). The findings from our study reveal a significant decrease of glycaemia from 89.6 ± 6.8 to 82.7 ± 10.3 mg/dL (p<0.05), related to a long term daily intake of the study EVOO, as the only added fat. A significant increment of the HDL cholesterol, from 68.7 ± 11.5 to 75.2 ± 4.9 mg/dL, was also highlighted. Total cholesterol, LDL, VLDL, triglycerides, and blood pressure did not show significant variation after the 30‐day consumption of this EVOO. So far, few articles have described the influence of EVOO consumption, on plasma glucose levels in humans. This effect is observed in a group of healthy young humans. Moreover, we confirm that the level of free hydroxytyrosol (OH‐Tyr) in plasma increased up to fourfold (p<0.05) after the 30‐day intake of this EVOO. In addition, the excretion in urine of the main metabolite of OH‐Tyr, homovanillic acid (HVA), significantly increased. 相似文献

The health benefits of phenolic compounds depend on the ingested amount, molecular diversity and gastrointestinal digestibility. The phenolic profile of eight fruits (blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, mulberry, pomegranate, green and red globe grapes) was chemometrically associated with their in vitro digestibility (oral, gastric, intestinal). Extractable phenols, flavonoids and anthocyanins strongly correlated with each other (r ≥ 0.84), proanthocyanidins with anthocyanins (r = 0.62) and hydrolysable phenols with both extractable phenols (r = 0.45) and proanthocyanidins (r = ?0.54). Two principal components explained 93% of the variance [61% (free‐phenols), 32% (bounded‐phenols)], and four clusters were confirmed by hierarchical analysis, based in their phenolic richness (CLT 1‐4: low to high) and molecular diversity. In vitro digestibility of extractable phenols and flavonoids was blackberry (CLT‐4)> raspberry (CLT‐2)> red grape (CLT‐1) related to their phenolic richness (r ≥ 0.96; P < 0.001), but anthocyanins’ digestibility was pH‐dependent. Abstract A new, simple EDF characterization method is presented. Departing from well-known equations, some approximations, applicable in WDM working conditions, are introduced. Thanks to them, the number of active parameters necessary to describe the EDF behaviour is sensibly reduced. Afterwards, a simple experiment to find such parameters is proposed. Finally, the characterization method is applied to an EDF and the parameters′ values obtained are used to predict gain results. Bidimensional convolution is a low-level processing algorithm of interest in many areas, but its high computational cost constrains the size of the kernels, especially in real-time embedded systems. This paper presents a hardware architecture for the FPGA-based implementation of 2-D convolution with medium–large kernels. It is a multiplierless solution based on Distributed Arithmetic implemented using general purpose resources in FPGAs. Our proposal is modular and coefficient independent, so it remains fully flexible and customizable for any application. The architecture design includes a control unit to manage efficiently the operations at the borders of the input array. Results in terms of occupied resources and timing are reported for different configurations. We compare these results with other approaches in the state of the art to validate our approach. 相似文献

Friction welding samples of both the fire-refined high-conductivity (FRHC) and electrolytically tough pitch (ETP) copper alloy wires have been mechanically characterized by instrumented indentation technique and tensile test. Hardness profiles in the perpendicular direction to the weld interface, in both the central and peripheral zones, of the as-welded FRHC-FRHC and ETP-ETP samples have been investigated at nano-/micrometric scale. The microstructures of welds have been observed using both the optical microscopy and scanning electronic microscopy. The results show the typical friction welding zones: the interface zone, the thermo-mechanically affected zone (TMAZ), and the transition zone between the TMAZ and the base metal zone (BMZ) that present a microstructure and hardness close to the base metal. No presence of a heat-affected zone is observed. Although both welds show the same tendency in hardness distribution, FHRC-FHRC weld presents a TMAZ narrower than ETP-ETP one, which produces a stronger drop in hardness with increasing of the distance from welding central line, and a higher difference in hardness between the central and peripheral zones. The tensile tests of ETP-ETP welds showed that all samples broke by the BMZ that is far away from the interface of the welded joint, while the most of the FRHC-FRHC welds are broken at the TMAZ region at low strengths. These appreciable differences in mechanical properties for the FHRC-FHRC welds are probably generated by a stronger variation in their microstructural properties. Therefore, it may justify the welding failures in the FHRC-FHRC weld at the typical tensile stress for an industrial cold-drawn process of wires. 相似文献
