In this study, a new modifier (KPG) was prepared by modifying graphene oxide with γ‐glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane (KH560) and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). KPG was in turn added to aqueous urethane acrylate for the fabrication of waterborne polyurethane polyacrylate emulsion modified with KH560‐PDMS composite (KPG/WPUA). Textural characterizations of the KPG/WPUA coating were achieved via Fourier transform infrared, SEM, TGA and AFM techniques, which revealed that the KPG/WPUA film possessed a smooth surface. The synthesized KPG/WPUA films were tested for mechanical properties, hydrophobicity and acid/water corrosion performance which suggested their highly hydrophobic surface. KPG/WPUA with 0.1% KPG showed a contact angle of 118.35°, 30.35° higher than that of pristine WPUA. The KPG/WPUA film exhibited higher thermal stability, i.e. a 5% weight loss temperature of 305 °C, which was 30 °C higher than that of pristine WPUA film. The Young's modulus and elongation at break of the KPG/WPUA film were 34.1 MPa and 74.88% respectively, which were higher than that of WPUA film. Furthermore, KPG/WPUA films exhibited greater resistance (without obvious blistering and the white spotting phenomenon) to H2O2, HCl and water corrosion than pristine WPUA. The superior performance of KPG/WPUA films was attributed to the network chain structure formed upon the introduction of KPG into WPUA. The outstanding performance of KPG/WPUA films in terms of mechanical properties, thermal stability and high resistance to acidic and water corrosion makes them interesting alternative contenders for target applications. © 2019 Society of Chemical Industry 相似文献

The benefits of polymerizing very insoluble monomers in aqueous media, avoiding the use of energy‐intensive procedures, by implementing two novel synthesis techniques based on the emulsifier combination in emulsion polymerization and on miniemulsification by phase inversion temperature are investigated. The performance of standalone polymers consisting of monomers, namely lauryl methacrylate, isobornyl acrylate, and 1H,1H,2H,2H‐perfluorodecyl acrylate, and of formulated binders with these monomers incorporated either through blending or in situ polymerization, is evaluated with special emphasis on their water‐barrier properties (e.g., uptake, whitening, immersion, and vapor resistance) and on their chemical resistance. The performance of the standalone polymers is found to be similar to that of polymers prepared by high‐shear miniemulsion polymerization, while the performance of the formulated binders is generally superior to a commercial coating formulation based on a binder recommended for water resistance. 相似文献

Zinc ferrite nanocrystalline powder was obtained by solid state synthesis of starting zinc oxide and hematite nanopowders. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy confirmed the formation of nanocrystalline zinc-ferrite powder with a mixed spinel structure with small amounts of remaining zinc oxide and hematite as impurities. Thick film paste was formed and screen printed on test interdigitated PdAg electrodes on alumina substrate. Formation of a porous nanocrystalline structure was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy and Hg porosimetry. Humidity sensing properties of zinc ferrite thick films were investigated by monitoring the change in impedance in the relative humidity interval 30%-90% in the frequency range 42 Hz-1 MHz at room temperature (25°C) and 50°C. At 42 Hz at both analyzed temperatures the impedance reduced ~46 times in the humidity range 30%-90%. There is a growing interest in metal-ceramic bonding for wide range of applications in electronic devices and high technology industry for fabrication of metal matrix composites and bonding of ceramic components to metals. The object of the work was to study the effect of Ti, Nb, and Ti + Nb thin films deposited by PVD method on alumina substrates on structure and bond strength properties of Al/Al2O3 joints. The joints were fabricated using the results of a wetting experiment and the sessile drop method at a temperature of 1223 K in a vacuum of 0.2 MPa for 30 min of contact. The structure of the metal/ceramic interface was investigated using scanning electron microscopy. The elemental distribution at the metal-ceramic interface was analyzed using energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy. Transmission electron microscopy was also used to investigate some aspects of the metal/ceramic interface. The bond strength properties of joints were measured using shear test. The shear strength results demonstrated significant improvement of shear strength of Al/Al2O3 joints due to the application of Ti + Nb thin film on alumina substrate. Microstructural investigations of the interface indicated that Al/coating/Al2O3 couples have diffusion transition interface which influences the strengthening of these joints. A conclusion could be drawn that the presence of thin film layers changes the character of interaction and leads to the formation of new reaction products in the bonding layer. 相似文献

For an alloy to be suitable for use as an implant material, it must have a low specific weight and Young??s modulus, good mechanical properties that are similar to those of bone, and very good corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. In this study, we have developed a novel Ti-20Nb-10Zr-5Ta alloy that is composed of nontoxic, nonallergenic, corrosion-resistant elements. This alloy has low specific weight and Young??s modulus and good mechanical properties. It has a fine microstructure with a matrix that is mainly composed of the ?? phase and some ?? phase due to recrystallization during cooling. It shows elastoplastic behavior with a fairly linear elastic behavior and low Young??s modulus (59 GPa). In addition, its ultimate tensile strength, 0.2% yield strength, and hardness are higher than those of CP Ti, commercial Ti-6Al-4V, and similar ??-type alloys. It exhibited a very stable passive state and its electrochemical parameters and corrosion and ion release rates were better than those of CP Ti in Ringer??s solutions of different pH values that simulate the severe functional conditions of an implant; this is attributable to the beneficial influence of the alloying elements and to the better protective properties of the coated passive film. 相似文献

Aim: Evaluate the composite‐to‐enamel bond after passive or active application of self‐etching primer systems on polished or pre‐etched enamel with phosphoric acid. Materials and Methods: Two self‐etch adhesives systems (SEAS) were used: Clearfil SE Bond and Easy Bond. Third human molars were divided into 8 groups (N = 10). The crown of each tooth was sectioned into halves and the mesial/distal surfaces were used. The adhesives were actively or passively applied on enamel with or without prior phosphoric‐acid etching. Resin composite cylinders were built after adhesive application. After stored in relative humidity for 24 hr/37°C the specimens were subjected to microshear test in universal testing a machine at a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/minute. The results were analyzed with three‐way ANOVA and the Tukey test. The enamel‐etching pattern was evaluated under SEM. Results: The 2‐step SEAS system presented significantly higher adhesive bond strength means (47.37 MPa) than the 1‐step (36.87 MPa). A poor enamel‐ etching pattern was observed in active mode showing irregular and short resin tags, however there was not compromised the bond strength. Conclusion: Active or passive application produced similar values of bond strength to enamel regardless of enamel pretreatment and type of SEAS. 相似文献

Evaluation was made of friction stir welded joints, identifying conditions that resulted in satisfactory welded joints free from defects and with microstructural characteristics that provided good mechanical properties. Microstructural characterization and cooling curve analysis of the joints with lower and higher heat inputs evidenced deformation below and above the non-recrystallization temperature (Tnr) and dynamic recrystallization during microstructural evolution. Microscopy analyses showed acicular ferrite, bainitic ferrite, and coalesced bainite microstructures in the stir zone of the cold weld (lower heat input), while the stir zone of the hot weld (higher heat input) contained bainitic ferrite, acicular ferrite, coalesced bainite, martensite, and dispersed carbides. Granular bainite and dispersed carbides were observed in all the heat affected zones. Analysis of the microstructural transformations, together with the thermal history of the joints, showed that the variable that had the greatest influence on the morphology of the bainite (granular bainite/bainitic ferrite) was the deformation temperature. 相似文献
