The catalytic properties of 10-MR (membered ring) zeolites (ZSM-5, MCM-22, IM-5, ITQ-2, all with a similar Si/Al ratio of ca. 15) in hybrid Co/SiO2-zeolite catalysts for the direct conversion of syngas to mainly high-octane gasoline-range hydrocarbons has been studied under typical Fischer-Tropsch (FT) conditions: 250 °C, 2.0 MPa, and H2/CO = 2. Special emphasis has been given to the deactivation behavior and the characterization of the amount and nature of the carbonaceous deposits formed by a combination of techniques (elemental analysis, TGA (thermogravimetric analyses), GC–MS, and DR (diffuse reflectance) UV–vis spectroscopy). The presence of the medium-pore zeolite increases the gasoline yield by about 20–50%, depending on the particular zeolite, and enhances the formation of branched products with respect to the base Co/SiO2 catalyst, which is explained by the promotion of isomerization and cracking of long-chain (C13+) n-paraffins formed on the FT component. The initial zeolite activity is mostly determined by the surface acidity rather than by the total amount of Brønsted acid sites, pointing out to the existence of limitations for the diffusion of the long-chain n-paraffins through the 10-MR channels under FT conditions. Thus, ITQ-2 bearing the largest surface area presents the highest initial yield of branched gasoline-range products, followed by ZSM-5, IM-5, and MCM-22. All zeolites experience a loss of activity with TOS, particularly during the initial reaction stages. This deactivation is governed by the morphological and structural properties of the zeolite, which finally determine the amount and location of the coke species, and not by the acidity.  相似文献

The development of mixed systems, formed by locust bean gum (LBG), and κ-carrageenan (κ-car) can offer new interesting applications such as the development of edible films with particular properties. κ-car/LBG blend films with different ratios were developed, and their effects on films’ physical properties were assessed. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy techniques were used to highlight the interactions between the two polysaccharides. The addition of κ-car to LBG improved the barrier properties of the films leading to a decrease of water vapor permeability (WVP). Improved values of elongation-at-break (EB) were registered when the ratio of κ-car/LBG was 80/20 or 40/60 (% w/w). Moreover, the κ-car/LBG blend films enhance the tensile strength (TS) compared to κ-car and LBG films. FTIR results suggested that hydrogen bonds interactions between κ-car and LBG have a great influence in films’ properties e.g. moisture content, WVP. Therefore, different κ-car/LBG ratios can be used to tailor edible films with enhanced barrier and mechanical properties.  相似文献

The aims of this work were to evaluate the physical and antimicrobial properties of biodegradable films composed of mixtures of κ-carrageenan (κ-car) and locust bean gum (LBG) when organically modified clay Cloisite 30B (C30B) was dispersed in the biopolymer matrix. Film-forming solutions were prepared by adding C30B (ranging from 0 to 16 wt.%) into the κ-car/LBG solution (40/60 wt.%) with 0.3 % (w/v) of glycerol. Barrier properties (water vapour permeability, P vapour; CO2 and O2 permeabilities), mechanical properties (tensile strength, TS, and elongation-at-break, EB) and thermal stability of the resulting films were determined and related with the incorporation of C30B. Also, X-ray diffraction (XRD) was done in order to investigate the effect of C30B in film structure. Antimicrobial effects of these films against Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli and Salmonella enterica were also evaluated. The increase of clay concentration causes a decrease of P vapour (from 5.34?×?10?11 to 3.19?×?10?11 g (m s?Pa)?1) and an increase of the CO2 permeability (from 2.26?×?10?14 to 2.91?×?10?14 g (m s?Pa)?1) and did not changed significantly the O2 permeability for films with 0 and 16 wt.% C30B, respectively. Films with 16 wt.% clay exhibited the highest values of TS (33.82 MPa) and EB (29.82 %). XRD patterns of the films indicated that a degree of exfoliation is attained depending on clay concentration. κ-car/LBG–C30B films exhibited an inhibitory effect only against L. monocytogenes. κ-car/LBG–C30B composite films are a promising alternative to synthetic films in order to improve the shelf life and safety of food products.  相似文献

Two different carbon/epoxy prepreg materials were characterized and compared using thermal (DSC, TGA, and DMA) and rheological analyses. A prepreg system (carbon fiber preimpregnated with epoxy resin F584) that is currently used in the commercial airplane industry was compared with a prepreg system that is a prospective candidate for the same applications (carbon fiber prepreg/epoxy resin 8552). The differences in the curing kinetics mechanisms of both prepreg systems were identified through the DSC, TGA, DMA, and rheological analyses. Based on these thermal analysis techniques, it was verified that the curing of both epoxy resin systems follow a cure kinetic of n order. Even though their reaction heats were found to be slightly different, the kinetics of these systems were nevertheless very similar. The activation energies for both prepreg systems were determined by DSC analysis, using Arrhenius's method, and were found to be quite similar. DMA measurements of the cured prepregs demonstrated that they exhibited similar degrees of cure and different glass transition temperatures. Furthermore, the use of the rheological analysis revealed small differences in the gel temperatures of the two prepreg systems that were examined.  相似文献

This study investigated the presence of methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in raw meat and fish and foods prepared from them for patient consumption in public hospitals in Salvador, Bahia, in northeastern Brazil. A total of 114 samples of raw meat and fish (chicken, n = 30; beef, n = 30; pork, n = 24; and fish, n = 30) and 63 samples of prepared foods (made with chicken, n = 15; beef, n = 15; pork, n = 15; and fish, n = 18) were collected from the kitchens of 10 different hospitals. Of the 114 investigated raw meat and fish samples, 28.1% were positive for MRSA, which comprised 23.3% beef, 23.3% chicken, 37.5% pork, and 30% fish samples. Of the prepared foods, 9.5% were positive for MRSA, which comprised 5.6% chicken products, 6.7% pork products, and 22.2% fish products. MRSA contamination was not detected in prepared beef dishes. A statistical analysis showed no association between the presence of MRSA and the type of raw food (P > 0.05). The high prevalence of MRSA among the raw foods tested and the presence of the microorganism in prepared foods emphasizes the necessity of enforcing hygienic practices within hospital kitchens.  相似文献

Blending is an important way to obtain materials based on intrinsically conductive polymers and conventional plastics and rubber materials. Much research has been carried out to determine the best performance of materials be used for electrostatic dissipation and electromagnetic interference shielding. Mechanical mixing, codissolution, and in situ polymerization have been used to prepare these materials. The method used depends on the host polymer and its thermal stability and acid attack resistance. Homogeneity and miscibility are properties that should be controlled during blend preparation. In this study, we prepared a conductive thermoplastic elastomer material based on butadiene–styrene copolymer (SBR) and polyaniline (PANI) doped with dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (DBSA) and poly(styrene sulfonic acid) (PSS). PSS also acted as compatibilizer between PANI and SBR. PANI was doped by reactive processing with DBSA and PSS to produce the conductive complex PANI–DBSA–PSS. This complex was mixed with 90, 70, and 50% (w/w) SBR in a counterrotatory internal mixer. Conductivity tests, swelling studies, thermal analysis, and mechanical property and reflectivity testing were done, and the results show a strong dependence on PANI concentration and the ratio between PANI–DBSA and PSS. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Duplicate bug report entries in bug trackers have a negative impact on software maintenance and evolution. This is due, among other factors, to the increased time spent on report analysis and validation, which in some cases takes over 20 min. Therefore, a considerable amount of time is lost in duplicate bug report analysis. In order to understand the possible factors that cause bug report duplication and its impact on software development, this paper presents an exploratory study in which bug tracking data from private and open source projects were analyzed. The results show, for example, that all projects we investigated had duplicate bug reports and a considerable amount of time was wasted by this duplication. Furthermore, features such as project lifetime, staff size, and the number of bug reports do not seem to be significant factors for duplication, while others, such as the submitters’ profile and the number of submitters, do seem to influence the bug report duplication.  相似文献

As in the case of implants, the increase of the life expectancy and of the risk of accidents, thus causing a higher incidence of surgeries, has led to an increased use of surgical instruments. The reliability of these instruments, used in applications of considerable responsibility, depends on the characteristics of the materials, as well as on the conditions of manufacture. Using some techniques such as optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and hardness tests, this work has as purpose the identification of the possible causes of failure of surgical torch meters used for dental implants fixation, trying to correlate with the microstructural characteristics of the austenitic and martensitic stainless steels used in their manufacture. The results thus obtained allowed the identification of the main causes of the failure, primarily related to microstructural heterogeneities which resulted from inadequate heat treatment and with the presence of non-metallic inclusions, which favored brittle fracture and corrosion.  相似文献

Proteases play an important and critical role in the physiological process of wound repair. However, excessive and unregulated release of proteolytic enzymes (e.g., elastase) mediates abnormal degradation of healthy tissues, which leads to inflammatory disorders such as chronic wounds. Thus, it is of therapeutic interest to develop novel synthetic inhibitor-peptides of elastase, which can restore the balance between the free enzyme and the endogenous inhibitors in chronic wounds. In previous works, we have reported two different drug delivery systems to release novel elastase inhibitors to the wound site. In both systems synthetic peptides (KRCCPDTCGIKCL-Pep4 and KRMMPDTMGIKML-Pep4M) based on the primary structure of the endogenous elastase inhibitor, secretory leucocyte protease inhibitor, were used as active material. Phosphorylation of the reported peptides prompts significant structural differences, which reflects in distinct inhibitory capacity towards elastase. These structural modifications were prompted by electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonds established from the peptide phosphoresidue. The current study was also extended to another synthetic peptide (WCTASVPPQCY-PepBBI) that is based on the reactive loop of another elastase inhibitor, the Bowmen-Birk inhibitor. PepBBI, phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated, displays similar behaviour to Pep4 and Pep4M. The structural modifications reported herein were evaluated by two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance and molecular modelling approaches.  相似文献
