In order to minimize the utilization of non‐renewable fossil resources, novel polymer sources for food packaging are being investigated. Micellar Lupin Protein (MLP), produced by dilution precipitation has great potential as functional laminating adhesive due to its high adhesion‐ and oxygen‐barrier properties. Formulations of MLP are used as laminating adhesive between high density‐polyethylene foil and paper as well as coating for poly(ethylene terephthalate) foil. The application of glycerol, sorbitol and combinations thereof as plasticizers are being investigated. Adhesive behavior as well as oxygen‐ and water vapor barrier properties were tested. The addition of both plasticizers enabled the preparation of processable coatings showing coherent and homogeneous morphology with improved adhesive behavior and oxygen barrier. When using sorbitol oxygen permeation coefficients of 0.93 cm3 (STP) 100 µm m?2 d?1 bar?1 were achieved. The laminates containing only sorbitol provided adhesion properties comparable to standard polyurethane laminates with cohesion failure in 100% of the by T‐Peel‐Test examined cases. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The concentrations of CLA isomers were determined by Ag+-HPLC in the milk fat of cows fed a control diet consisting of hay ad libitum and 15 kg of fodder beets or this diet supplemented with oilseeds containing either high levels of oleic acid (rapeseed),
linoleic acid (sunflower seed), or α-linolenic acid (linseed). Highly significant (P≤0.001) correlations were found between the daily intakes of oleic acid and the concentration of the CLA isomer trans-7,cis-9 in milk fat; of linoleic acid and the CLA isomers trans-10,trans-12, trans-9,trans-11, trans-8,trans-10, trans-7,trans-9, trans-10,cis-12, cis-9,trans-11, trans-8,cis-10, and trans-7,cis-9; and of α-linolenic acid and the CLA isomers trans-12,trans-14, trans-11,trans-13, cis,trans/trans,cis-12,14, trans-11,cis-13, and cis-11,trans-13. CLA concentrations were also determined in the milk fat of cows grazing in the lowlands (600–650 m), the mountains (900–1210
m), and the highlands (1275–2120 m). The concentrations of many isomers were highest in milk fat from the highlands, but only
three CLA isomers (cis-9,trans-11, trans-11,cis-13, and trans-8,cis-10) showed a nearly linear increase with elevation. This study introduces a novel reactor concept, referred to as the Siphon Reactor, for intensified phase contacting of gas–liquid reactants on heterogeneous catalysts. The reactor comprises a fixed catalyst bed in a siphoned reservoir, which is periodically filled and emptied. This serves to alternate liquid–solid and then gas–liquid mass transfer processes. As the duration of each phase can be manipulated, mass transfer can be deliberately harmonized with the reaction. Residence time experiments demonstrate that, in contrast to periodically operated trickle‐bed reactors, the static liquid hold‐up is exchanged frequently and uniformly due to the complete homogeneous liquid wetting. A mathematical model describing the siphon hydrodynamics was developed and experimentally validated. The reaction between NiCO3 · Ni(OH)2, acrylic acid and ethylenediamine in a 2:4:1 molar ratio affords the binuclear complex, [Ni2(EDDP)2(H2O)2] · 2H2O 1. The organic ligand, EDDP2? (the dianion of the ethylenediamine-N,N-dipropionic acid ligand), results from the addition of one amine group to the carbon–carbon double bonds of two acrylato ions. The crystal structure of 1 consists of neutral centrosymmetric entities, with the nickel ions connected by two carboxylato groups, each one acting as a monoatomic bridge. The intramolecular Ni?Ni distance is 3.212 Å. The metal ions exhibit an octahedral geometry. The cryomagnetic investigation of 1 reveals an antiferromagnetic coupling of the nickel(II) ions (J = ?21.8 cm?1, H = ?JSNi1SNi2). 相似文献

This paper presents an innovative method to increase the regression speed of a solid fuel grain by using oxidizer doping. The results obtained on a propulsion application showing the performance parameters as an output of a numerical model are provided. Two models are given that predict the regression speed increase for embedding wires and for oxidizer doping with a factor of ~2 to 3. Also, it is shown that this increase of the regression speed by using a low oxidizer doping percentage, which is based on the assumption that at a higher doping rate the combustion instabilities, can lead to detonations. Next, a thermochemical model for the combustion within the oxidizer doping model is afforded. For this model, the burn is assumed to take place around the surface of each of the oxidizer particles, being composed of two different burning processes: one is the burning on the surface of the solid fuel grain and the other is the burning between the solid fuel and the solid oxidizer. For a non-doped fuel grain, the burning takes place only on the surface of the fuel grain. Finally, a potential application of such propulsion units to small satellite launchers is presented, and a case study of such a vehicle intended to place a 50 kg payload on a low earth orbit (300 to 500 km altitude) is described. The modelling proposed is based on the assumption that the use of solid methane makes this launcher environmentally friendly. 相似文献

TAAR1 is a neuroregulator with emerging evidence suggesting a role in immunomodulation. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an immune-mediated demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Here, we investigate TAAR1 expression in human primary monocytes, peripherally-derived macrophages, and MS brain tissue. RT-qPCR was used to assess TAAR1 levels in MS monocytes. Using a previously validated anti-human TAAR1 antibody and fluorescence microscopy, TAAR1 protein was visualized in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated or basal human macrophages, as well as macrophage/microglia populations surrounding, bordering, and within a mixed active/inactive MS lesion. In vivo, TAAR1 mRNA expression was significantly lower in MS monocytes compared to age- and sex-matched healthy controls. In vitro, TAAR1 protein showed a predominant nuclear localization in quiescent/control macrophages with a shift to a diffuse intracellular distribution following lipopolysaccharide-induced activation. In brain tissue, TAAR1 protein was predominantly expressed in macrophages/microglia within the border region of mixed active/inactive MS lesions. Considering that TAAR1-mediated anti-inflammatory effects have been previously reported, decreased mRNA in MS patients suggests possible pathophysiologic relevance. A shift in TAAR1 localization following pro-inflammatory activation suggests its function is altered in pro-inflammatory states, while TAAR1-expressing macrophages/microglia bordering an MS lesion supports TAAR1 as a novel pharmacological target in cells directly implicated in MS neuroinflammation. 相似文献

Tin oxide (SnO2 ) particles that are a few hundred nanometers in size and are embedded in a lead glaze act as a white opacifier. The insolubility of SnO2 particles in a lead glaze is responsible for this microstructure. Although it is assumed that SnO2 particles do not react during the glaze formation, we demonstrate that the development of metastable phases prior to the fusion of the PbO-SiO2 -SnO2 mixture allows the SnO2 particles to react and then recrystallize subsequent to the fusion of the mixture. The recrystallization of SnO2 occurs during heating and/or cooling until the temperature is sufficiently low and/or the tin supply is exhausted. 相似文献

There are several objectives in the design phase of gears: Besides a sufficient load capacity and a high efficiency of the gearbox, the acoustic behavior has to be taken into account. For a single-stage gearbox, several research projects have been carried out regarding the improvement of the noise behavior. Because of the mutual interactions between the gear meshes at a multi-stage gearbox, the knowledge at single-stage gearboxes cannot be transferred without restrictions. In this report, experimental investigations are carried out on a two-stage test gearbox. The experimental tests are analyzed by means of the stiffness of the intermediate shaft and the number of teeth of the two gear stages. The noise generation process will be investigated by the measured signals along the machine acoustic noise generation process. First, the excitation behavior of the gear mesh is analyzed by the detected rotational acceleration using angular rotation measurement systems. Subsequently, the transfer path between the gear meshes is determined to evaluate the mutual interactions between source and receiver. Silica‐containing polyimide films were prepared by sol‐gel technique using a poly(amic acid) and tetraethoxysilane. The poly(amic acid) was synthesized by solution polycondensation reaction of 4,4′‐oxydiphthalic anhydride with 2,6‐bis(3‐aminophenoxy)benzene and an aminosilane coupling agent, 3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The properties of these films, such as water vapors sorption capacity, dynamic contact angles and contact angle hysteresis, thermal, and electrical behavior have been evaluated with respect to their structure. The polymer films exhibited good thermal stability having the initial decomposition temperature above 450°C, glass transition temperature in the range of 223?228°C, and low‐dielectric constant in the range of 2.64?3.16. Two subglass transitions, γ and β, were evidenced by dynamic mechanical analysis and dielectric spectroscopy.
