The fatigue tests under push-pull completely reversed loading and pulsating loading were performed for silicon nitride ceramics at elevated temperatures. Then the effects of stress wave form, stress rate, and cyclic understressing on fatigue strength, and cyclic straining behavior, were examined. The cycle-number-based fatigue life is found to be shorter under trapezoidal stress wave loading than under triangular stress wave loading, and to become shorter with increasing hold time under the trapezoidal stress wave loading. Meanwhile, the equivalent time-based life curve, which is estimated from the concept of slow crack growth, almost agrees with the static fatigue life curve in the short and intermediate life regions, showing the small cyclic stress effect and the dominant stress-imposing period effect on cyclic fatigue life. The fatigue strength increased in stepwise stress amplitude increasing test, where stress amplitude is increased stepwise every given number of stress cycles, at 1100° and 1200°C. Occurrence of cyclic strengthening was proved through a gradual decrease in strain amplitude during a pulsating loading test at 1200°C in this material, corresponding to the above cyclic understressing effect on fatigue strength.  相似文献

Photocatalytic membrane reactors using porous titanium oxide membranes having pore sizes of several nanometers were utilized for a gas-phase reaction of methanol. Air mixed with methanol (MeOH) vapor, the concentration of which was controlled in the range of 500–6000 ppm, was fed to the photocatalytic membrane reactor in the range of 50–500 cm3/min using several types of flow patterns. Photocatalysis with membrane permeation resulted in a large decomposition rate, compared to photocatalysis without membrane permeation. The characteristics of the reaction such as decomposition ratio of MeOH, the conversion of the decomposed MeOH to CO2 and H2O were found to be a function of the residence time in the reactor. The photocatalytic reaction was analyzed based on pseudo-first-order kinetics to ascertain its simplicity, and the fitted curves were found to be in a relatively good agreement with the experimental data. Apparent rate constants with and without membrane permeation were 2.5 and 1.5×10−6 m s−1, respectively, indicating that the performance of the photocatalytic reaction system with membrane permeation was enhanced.  相似文献

Clavibacter sp. ALA2 oxidized n−3 and n−6 PUFA into a variety of oxylipins. Structures of products converted from EPA and DHA were determined as 15,18-dihydroxy-14,17-epoxy-5(Z),8(Z),11(Z)-eicosatrienoic acid and 17,20-dihydroxy-16,19-epoxy-4(Z),7(Z),10(Z),13(Z)-docosatetraenoic acid by GC-MS and NMR analyses. In contrast, γ-linolenic acid and arachidonic acid were converted to diepoxy bicyclic FA, tetrahydrofuranyl monohydroxy FA, and trihydroxy FA. Thus, the structures of bioconversion products were different between n−3 and n−6 PUFA. Furthermore, strain ALA2 placed hydroxy groups and cyclic structures at the same position from the ω-terminal despite the number of carbons in the chain and the double bonds in the PUFA.  相似文献

We identified novel potent inhibitors of p38 mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase using a structure-based design strategy, beginning with lead compound, 3-(butan-2-yl)-6-(2,4-difluoroanilino)-1,3-dihydro-2H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-one ( 1 ). To enhance the inhibitory activity of 1 against production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in human whole blood (hWB) cell assays, we designed and synthesized hybrid compounds in which the imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-one core was successfully linked with the p-methylbenzamide fragment. Among the compounds evaluated, 3-(3-tert-butyl-2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-6-yl)-4-methyl-N-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)benzamide ( 25 ) exhibited potent p38 inhibition, superior suppression of TNF-α production in hWB cells, and also significant in vivo efficacy in a rat model of collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). In this paper, we report the discovery of potent, selective, and orally bioavailable imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-one-based p38 MAP kinase inhibitors.  相似文献

Selective partial hydrolyses of egg yolk phospholipid and squid skin phospholipid were carried out. By keeping the water activity (a w) of Lipozyme IM at an intermediate level, it was easy to concentrate docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It was also possible to concentrate both DHA and arachidonic acid (AA) simultaneously to a certain level under this a w range. However, it was impossible to concentrate AA alone when DHA was present. Though there is a limitation in concentrating AA exclusively, the proposed a w-adjusted hydrolytic reaction is a promising way for preparing phospholipids rich in DHA.  相似文献

Thermal decomposition of aluminum isopropoxide in toluene at 315°C resulted in χ-alumina that had high thermal stability, whereas the reaction at lower temperatures resulted in formation of an amorphous product. The χ-alumina thus obtained directly transformed to α-alumina at ∼1150°C, bypassing the other transition alumina phases, whereas the amorphous product transformed to γ-alumina and then to θ-alumina before final transformation to α-alumina. When the χ-alumina, solvothermally synthesized at 315°C, was recovered by the removal of the solvent at the reaction temperature, thermal stability of the product was improved further. This procedure is convenient because it avoids bothersome work-up processes that yield large-surface-area and large-pore-volume alumina.  相似文献

Feeding atomized aqueous solutions containing TiCl4 into an argon high-temperature inductively coupled plasma (ICP) resulted in the formation of mixtures of white and blue particles. The mixtures consisted of anatase and an extra phase of rutile. Adding oxygen to the ICP led to the production of a single phase of white anatase. The blue particles could be characterized as oxygen-deficient anatase. Electrophoretic mobility measurements indicated that Na+ participated in determining the surface potential of the mixtures. The oxygen defects may provide the adsorption sites to Na+.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an automatic train control method adaptable to disturbed train traffic conditions. The proposed method presumes transmission of detected time of a home track clearance to trains approaching the station by employing equipment of Digital ATC (Automatic Train Control). Using the information, each train controls its acceleration by a method that consists of two approaches. First, by setting a designated restricted speed, the train controls its running time to arrive at the next station in accordance with predicted delay. Second, the train predicts the time at which it will reach the current braking profile generated by Digital ATC, along with the time when the braking profile transits ahead. By comparing them, the train correctly chooses the coasting drive mode in advance to avoid deceleration due to the current braking profile. We evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed method regarding driving conditions, energy consumption, and reduction of delays by simulation. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper reports on the results of the miniaturization design of a permanent magnet synchronous motor, for which an optimal design technique based on thermomagnetic field coupling analysis is used. We derived the optimal solution for various motor flatness ratios and determined the relationship between the motor size and the flatness ratio. For motors with different flatness ratios, we calculated the speed–torque characteristics by considering the voltage, temperature rise, and demagnetization limits and compared them. Moreover, we manufactured and tested the smallest designed motor. The measured temperature rises demonstrated the high accuracy of the proposed miniaturization design. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Chemical mimicry is an effective strategy when signal receivers recognize and discriminate models by relying on chemical cues. Some aphid enemies mimic the cuticular chemicals of aphids through various means thus avoiding detection and attack by aphid-tending ants. However, because ants have been reported to learn the chemical signatures of aphids in order to distinguish the aphids, the efficacy of chemical mimicry is predicted to depend on the experience of the ants that had tended aphids. The present study tested this hypothesis using two predator species: larvae of the green lacewing Mallada desjardinsi, and larvae of the ladybeetle Scymnus posticalis. Lacewing larvae carry the carcasses of aphids on which they have preyed upon their backs, and these function via chemical camouflage to reduce the aggressiveness of aphid-tending ants toward the larvae. Ladybeetle larvae reportedly produce a covering of wax structures, and their chemicals appear to attenuate ant aggression. We examined whether the behavior of the ant Tetramorium tsushimae toward these predators changed depending on their aphid-tending experience. Ants moderated their aggressiveness toward both predators when they had previously tended aphids, indicating that chemical mimicry by both aphid predators is dependent on previous experience of the ants in tending aphids. Chemical mimicry by the predators of ant-tended aphids is therefore considered to exploit learning-dependent aphid recognition systems of ants.  相似文献
