The structure and rheological properties of binary blends of polycarbonate (PC) and polystyrene (PS) were investigated using various PS samples with different molecular weights, namely PS1k (Mw = 1,000), PS53k (Mw = 53,000), and PS240k (Mw = 240,000). The blends with PS53k and PS240k show phase-separated structures, whereas the blend with PS1k is miscible. The shear viscosity decreases greatly on addition of PS53k and PS240k, especially at high shear rates, which would be a great advantage at processing operations. Because the nonlinear response occurs in the small strain region for multilayered films of PC and PS240k, the origin of the significant viscosity drop for the phase-separated system is interfacial slippage at the phase boundary.  相似文献

A novel coating material on paperboard and fiberboard from poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) modified with Tung oil was developed. The PVA/Tung oil coating was cured at several conditions: 25, 40, 50, and 60°C, in the presence of two types of catalysts, i.e., thermal catalyst using potassium persulfate (KPS) and redox catalyst using KPS and sodium thiosulfate. The chemical crosslinked structure of PVA/Tung oil-coating films was confirmed by FTIR. The result indicated the decrease in the double bonds of Tung oil by crosslinking reaction, especially at 60°C. In comparison with the same curing temperature, the films with redox catalyst showed more reduction in the number of double bonds of Tung oil. DMA results of the PVA/Tung oil-coating materials with redox catalyst showed the lowering of the heights of both β transition peak of Tung oil and α transition peak of PVA. FTIR and DMA results confirmed the more efficient crosslinking reaction of redox catalytic system than that of the thermal catalytic system. The water resistance and mechanical properties of these coating materials exhibited better values as projected to higher curing temperature and redox catalyst. SEM images showed the smooth surface of PVA/Tung oil covered on the paperboards with ~72 µm in thickness. The contact angle of water or oil drop and dynamic change in contact angle on the surfaces of PVA/Tung oil-coated paperboards and fiberboards were investigated. The results show the contact angles for both water and oil were lower than those of the uncoated ones, indicating the improvement of water and oil affinities of the PVA/Tung oil-coating materials. The dynamic changes in contact angle of the coated ones also decreased, suggesting the reduction in water and oil absorption rates of these coated substrates.  相似文献

Dysprosium-doped glasses were prepared in the system of gallium-based sulfide, tellurite, zirconium-baed and indium-based fluorides and their optical properties were studied. From the absorption cross sections of five f-f bands, three Judd-Ofelt parameters, ω t ( t = 2, 4, 6), of Dy3+ ion were determined. The compositional variaton of the ω2value showed the order sulfide > tellurite > fluorozirconate > fluoroindate, whereas the ω6 value showed the opposite tendency. Compositional variaton of the fluorescence intensity ratio of the (4F9/26H13/2)/(4F9/2)→6H15/2) is explained by the ratio of ω26 of doped Dy3+. The emission probabilities A and the branching ratio β from 6H9/2 and 6F11/2 levels, which are the doublet initial level of the 1.3 μm luminescence, were calculated for the glasses, and it was found that both values showed a tendency similar to that of ω2 against the glass composition. In the sulfide glass, A was 2.6 × 103S-1 and β was 93%, both the highest in all of the glasses investigated. By 1.06 μm pumping of a Nd: YAG laser, the sulfide glass showed strong 1.3 μm emission and the lifetime was 25 μs, resulting in a quantum efficiency of 7%. This value is higher than that of the Pr3+:1G4 level in ZBLAN glass with β= 60%.  相似文献

A method is presented for configuration optimization of frames that have specified properties on nodal displacements, stresses, and reaction forces against static loads. The conventional ground structure approach is first used for topology optimization. A feasible solution with a small number of members satisfying all the design requirements except the stress constraints is obtained by assigning artificially small upper-bound displacement, or by penalizing the stiffness of a thin member. This way, the well-known difficulty in topology optimization under stress constraints is successfully avoided. The nodal locations and cross-sectional areas of the feasible solution are next optimized to obtain an approximate optimal configuration under stress constraints. The proposed method is applied to the design of self-fastening clamping members for membrane structures modeled using frame elements. An optimization result is also presented for a clamping member that adjusts deformation of membrane by applying a clamping force with a vertically attached bolt.  相似文献

In a placebo-controlled double-blind study, we examined the effects of dressing containing plant sterol (PS) on blood lipids and the safety in Japanese borderline or mildly hypercholesterolemic subjects. Fifty-nine subjects [total cholesterol (TC) concentration > or = 200 mg/dL] were randomly divided into two groups and were given daily 15 g of dressing containing 800 mg of PS [PS(+)-group] or without PS [PS(-)-group] for 12 weeks. Every 4 weeks, fasting blood was examined and subjective symptoms were analyzed. Serum TC, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and apolipoprotein B (ApoB) concentrations did not change in the PS(-)-group, while TC and ApoB significantly decreased in the PS(+)-group at 8 and 12 weeks and LDL-C at 4, 8 and 12 weeks. Moreover, serum TC, LDL-C and ApoB concentrations were significantly lower than those of PS(-)-group at 8 and 12 weeks. Other laboratory tests were all in normal ranges and no adverse events were observed. The results indicated that PS-containing dressing decreased serum TC, LDL-C and ApoB concentrations in borderline or mildly hypercholesterolemic subjects. It is therefore proved that the dressing containing PS is helpful in maintaining blood cholesterol level normal and hence, the health of Japanese.  相似文献

The formation process of Ba2La8(SiO4)6O2 was clarified using thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) and a high-temperature powder X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD) method. Phase changes identified from the HT-XRD data surprisingly corresponded to the weight loss and/or endothermic peaks observed in the TG-DTA curves. Raw material with the composition Ba2La8(SiO4)6O2 was completely reacted at 1400°C and produced only an apatite-type compound without a secondary phase. Moreover, the synthesis of Ba2+ x La8− x (SiO4)6O2−δ crystals with x = 0–2 was attempted using a solid-state reaction.  相似文献

The cyclic performance of a composite SiO and carbon nanofiber (CNF) anode was examined for lithium-ion batteries. SiO powder of several micrometers was pulverized using high energy mechanical milling. The SiO was ball-milled for 12 h with CNF to produce a composite electrode material that exhibited excellent cycling performance. A reversible capacity of approximately 700 mAh g−1 was observed after 200 cycles. The excellent cyclic performance was discussed with respect to the change of the valence state of Si by ball-milling. A large irreversible capacity at the first cycle for the SiO/CNF composite electrode was reduced to 2% by chemically pre-charging with a lithium film attached to the rim of the electrode.  相似文献

Heat and mass transfer with electrochemical reaction in an anode-supported flat-tube solid oxide fuel cell (FT-SOFC) is studied by means of three-dimensional numerical simulation. The distributions of the reaction fields in the anode-supported FT-SOFC are found to be similar to those in the planar SOFC with co-flow arrangement. However, in comparison with the latter, the concentration and activation overpotentials of the former can be reduced by additional reactant diffusion through the porous rib of the fuel channel. Parametric survey reveals that, for a fixed activation overpotential model, the output voltage can be improved by increasing the pore size of anode, while the cross-sectional geometry has smaller effect on the cell performance. Based on the results of three-dimensional simulation, we also develop a simplified numerical model of anode-supported FT-SOFC, which takes into account the concentration gradients in the thick anode of complex cross-sectional geometry. The simplified model can sufficiently predict the output voltage as well as the distributions of temperature and current density with very low computational cost. Thus, it can be used as a powerful tool for surveying wide range of anode-supported FT-SOFC design parameters.  相似文献

Hydroxyapatite and Cl -containing hydroxyapatite powders are prepared and characterized. Reversible substitution of CO2-3 for OH at the surface is presumed to be responsible for the sensor function. The role of Cl, which is necessary to realize the sensor function and is incorporated during soaking treatment, is considered as follows. It may reduce the strain caused by the incorporation of CO2-3 (which is larger than OH), and, hence, promote the reversible substitution reaction. This behavior is presumed because Cl -containing hydroxyapatite samples exhibit sensor characteristics typical of CO2 without any treatment.  相似文献

The positional distribution of fatty acids (FA) of triacylglycerols (TAG) and major phospholipids (PL) prepared from four cultivars of peas (Pisum sativum L.) were investigated as well as their tocopherol contents. The lipids extracted from these peas were separated by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) into seven fractions. The major lipid components were PL (52.2–61.3%) and TAG (31.2–40.3%), while the other components were also present in minor proportions (5.6–9.2%). γ-Tocopherol was present in the highest concentration, and α- and δ-tocopherols were very small amounts. The main PL components isolated from the four cultivars were phosphatidylcholine (42.3–49.2%), followed by phosphatidylinositol (23.3–25.2%) and then phosphatidylethanolamine (17.7–20.5%). Small but significant differences (P < 0.05) in FA distribution existed when different pea cultivars were determined. However, the principal characteristics of the FA distribution in the TAG and the three PL were evident among the four cultivars; unsaturated FA were predominantly located in the sn-2 position, and saturated FA primary occupied the sn-1 or sn-3 position in the oils of the peas. These results suggest that the regional distribution of tocopherols and fatty acids in peas is not dependent on the climatic conditions and the soil characteristics of the cultivation areas during the growing season.  相似文献
