A technique of studying deformation properties on the basis of single crystals of partially stabilized zirconium dioxide using the method of photoelastic coatings is described. Linearity and elasticity of the material samples are studied under their compression up to destruction. The main mechanical characteristics of the material are presented.  相似文献

Conducted 2 studies with 141 undergraduates in an attempt to replicate and extend the 1976 findings of M. B. LaCrosse and A. Barak (1976). In both studies the Counselor Rating Form was shown to be sensitive to perceived differences among and within counselors of moderate and minimal levels of training/experience. In both studies a significant positive relationship was noted between perceived counselor expertness, attractiveness, and trustworthiness and willingness to refer oneself to the observed counselor for a variety of counseling problems. The provision of a common baseline for S judgment (Study 2) resulted in expertness ratings more consistent with actual counselor training/experience than those of Study 1. The food industry is constantly striving to find new ways to preserve the characteristics of its products during storage, so it is important to create new ways to achieve this. A viable alternative is the use of coatings that are compatible with the surface of food and safe for consumption, which restricts the exchange of water vapor between the material and the environment. Coatings from waxy starch cryogels are an alternative little studied and with great potential for use in crackers. The coating prevents the cookies from absorbing approximately 50% less water from the environment when stored under controlled conditions, directly reflecting on their mechanical properties. Likewise, it is verified through the micrographs obtained by Scanning Electron Microscopy that the surface of the crackers is modified with the addition of cryogel. Regarding the analysis by Fourier Transform Infrared-Attenuated Total Reflection spectroscopy and thermal by Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimetry, it is observed that the coating modified interactions at the molecular level in terms of the vibrations of the main functional groups and their thermal behavior in terms of heat flow, heat capacity, and evaporation enthalpies. It is found that the coating works as an excellent barrier to water vapor after 21 days of storage.  相似文献

Appropriate wound management shortens the healing times and reduces the management costs, benefiting the patient in physical terms and potentially reducing the healthcare system’s economic burden. Among the instrumental measurement methods, the image analysis of a wound area is becoming one of the cornerstones of chronic ulcer management. Our study aim is to develop a solid AI method based on a convolutional neural network to segment the wounds efficiently to make the work of the physician more efficient, and subsequently, to lay the foundations for the further development of more in-depth analyses of ulcer characteristics. In this work, we introduce a fully automated model for identifying and segmenting wound areas which can completely automatize the clinical wound severity assessment starting from images acquired from smartphones. This method is based on an active semi-supervised learning training of a convolutional neural network model. In our work, we tested the robustness of our method against a wide range of natural images acquired in different light conditions and image expositions. We collected the images using an ad hoc developed app and saved them in a database which we then used for AI training. We then tested different CNN architectures to develop a balanced model, which we finally validated with a public dataset. We used a dataset of images acquired during clinical practice and built an annotated wound image dataset consisting of 1564 ulcer images from 474 patients. Only a small part of this large amount of data was manually annotated by experts (ground truth). A multi-step, active, semi-supervised training procedure was applied to improve the segmentation performances of the model. The developed training strategy mimics a continuous learning approach and provides a viable alternative for further medical applications. We tested the efficiency of our model against other public datasets, proving its robustness. The efficiency of the transfer learning showed that after less than 50 epochs, the model achieved a stable DSC that was greater than 0.95. The proposed active semi-supervised learning strategy could allow us to obtain an efficient segmentation method, thereby facilitating the work of the clinician by reducing their working times to achieve the measurements. The next-generation mercury cadmium telluride (HgCdTe) detectors will need to be able to spectrally resolve images to a degree far exceeding that currently available in two or even three color techniques. However, narrow, spectral pass bands will result in very low photon flux impinging on a detector. Modern large-scale programs create new challenges for management. During the 1960s and 1970s, the whole field of macro-projects experienced a fundamental transformation that made many of the traditional approaches, methods and tools for administering large-scale programs no longer completely appropriate. Instead, successful implementation now requires the convergence of at least four elements: a positive societal cost/benefit calculation; a supportive bureaucratic-political context; appropriately broad managerial capabilities; and a favorable corporate strategic environment. The American synfuels experience exhibits a pattern of implementation failure that can take place when such a convergence does not exist. Modern macro-projects need a set of top-level managers who are comfortable with the traditional set of project management skills and with purely technological and economic matters, while also being at least equally as strong in the other more ambiguous domains of politics, bureaucracy, general management, and corporate strategy.  相似文献
